I requested to have my favorite boots resolved with new rebuild and refurbished. Me, Foo, only wants quality but the boots were beat from me traveling Thailand on trip home to Pattaya and to jungle to help with family sick water buffalo and see grandma and get new tatau from elder. I was not able to put these sandals on by myself because I am elderly. But this gentleman showed me they didn't need repair. Instead he sold me a long handled shoe horn and showed me how to use both ends of it to pull them on. His good nature left me with a smile on my face. read more

Great service! I brought in a pair of boots that had the metal pins sticking out of each heal. I honestly thought that they were too far gone for repair, even the leather had peeled up. The gentleman working behind the counter greeted me as soon as I walked in, and fixed them while I waited! It only took 10 minutes and cost $15. They look good as new! He fixed my boat shoes right in front of me and refused to take my money, he actually told me to buy my wife something "nice" with the money I saved. . I have been going to Jerry's Shoe Repair on Oaklawn Ave, Cranston for awhile. I just had a Coach bag and 2 pairs of sandals fixed for $67.00. It took over a month to be done. That's fine, price was high but no problem. I went back a week later to have him put three holes in 2 sandals to make them tighter. They usually just punch the hole for free and I give a donation in donation jar. He wasn't there,so his mom said come back tomorrow. I did and he wasn't there, so I left the sandals. I asked her how much that would cost and she said "just a donation". Well 3 days later, when they were done, I went back. She said $5.00. I told her what she had said about the donation. She said "well, he figured, he would charge you $5". I said " $5.00 to punch 3 holes that took about 20 seconds. Her response" well, he had to push other jobs aside to do this for you. You couldn't do it yourself? Do you want a $1.00 back? Her tone was very sarcastic. My reply," no. I don't want a $1 back, but that's ridiculous for 3 little punches" "well, do you want a $1 back?" She said, so rudely. " no, I don't want a $1 back but I won't be back" So, not only did she lie, but she was so rude. I will Never be back there again. I have brought many pairs of shoes to Jerry over the last couple of years to have the heel tips replaced and I am always satisfied with the end result. More than once he has done the shoes for me on the spot while I waited. $10 or $12 for new heel tips is a lot cheaper than a whole new pair of shoes! (Not that I need convincing to buy new shoes). I have two minor criticisms, one of which is that a couple of times I went in expecting next day service and it took about a week. I wasn't in a rush for them, but it was an inconvenience to go pick them up and then be told I had to come back. The other is that he doesn't accept a debit card and I don't carry cash so I find myself having to run to the ATM mid-repair. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Jerry's and actually have recommended him to several women at work who have utilized his services and were also happy with the outcome. read more

Do not go here. I brought in a pair of boots for heels and toes to be repaired. He charged me $25.00 to do the job. I thought it was quite expensive, but my favorite shoe repair folks are away for the winter, so I just was happy to be able to get them repaired. I went back a week later to pick them up and he was working on them when I got there. No problem; I waited while he finished. The first time I wore them after picking them up, I noticed that they had let go on the side of one boot. I went back and, I guess it was his Mom, said "he didn't do it." I didn't suggest that he did, but it got my alert up. He called me the next day and said there was nothing he could do to fix them. He put glue on them and said it probably won't last. Now my favorite boots will end up in the trash. read more

I am so upset with Jerry's Shoe Repair. I needed my friends brand new wedding shoes have a sole put on them and it looked like a complete MESS. I know when the shoes are on the floor it's not a big deal. These are Manolo Blahniks (very expensive shoe), that were satin including the heel. He got ink on the satin and the whole job looked completely messy. After all this trouble, I had to find ANOTHER REPAIR store when they really never needed a repair in the first place. I've been going to Jerrys for years as well as my mother and stepdad. Since he had moved to Oaklawn Ave the mother is always there and Jerry is no where to be found. The mother is incredibly rude. I brought in a bag to be fixed and both times I went in to check on it she had a horrible attitude!!! Brought my shoes in a week ago to have guards put on the heels before they wore down. Jerry's offer next service not that I expected them done the next day. I asked for price. I got told could b 12 I don't know maybe 20. I left the shoes to give it a try. I return a week later to get my shoes. They can't find them I asked if any could have taken them by mistake or given to another customer and they didn't realize it yet. I was told no it had been very slow today. Could she look for shoes and come back next week. No one was there eating either. I asked her to continue to look since the store was still open for another 2.5 hours. My shoes were found in the back and she said they said slip said due 9/4 . today was 9/4 . she told me oh well sorry they won't be ready you'll have to come back Tuesday. I wanted the shoes for this w/e. All she said 'sorry'. Still 2.5 hours left in the day and no attempt to rectify or be accountable. Reading other review I'm sure 12 won't be the price either. Brought in 6 pairs of shoes with two brand new pairs of Feragamo shoes to be stretched. Now it happens the same person was with me when I dropped them off and when I picked them up. They saw the condition I dropped them off and picked them up in. They were in original packaging and brand new when I dropped them off to be stretched . I have done it myself with other Feragamo with No issues. They only needed a slight tweak. I got them back all thrown in a large bag. They all have marks and stains and are not stretched. The feragamos are the worst and completely ruined with cuts , marks and stains. One looks like coffe was simply on it and they attempted to run it out with alcohol . The Mother was rude and even tried to deny I had dropped them off claiming she was 70 years old and she could not remember what had just transpired . Now this guy has his mom run the business and the moment something goes wrong she's old a feeble. It is laughable . I spoke with Jerry after three attempts and stating I was going to take legal action . He offered my money back as if that would compensate me for ruining $3600 in shoes. I even tried to reasonable and only asked that he replace the Feragamo as they where brand new. He commented that it was my fault for buying such expensive shoes. I even asked him to make me what he felt was reasonable offer to avoid legal action. First Jerry said they came in that way and then he changed his story said I should take then back to the store because they were defective.Then it was that I had to prove to him that I dropped them off . I explained that the same people where with me he accused me of scamming him saying it was strange that the same two people would be there on both occasions . When I said I was taking him to court and calling BBB he accused me of threatening him. This is a man who had his mommy running his business . Come on ! She is rude and he is unprofessional.
