We went through the drive-through, and it went really quickly-Despite the amount of cars that was in the drive-through. It kind of reminded me of an old timey diner... similar to In-N-Out, burger... As far as style. They have a very small menu of burgers, fries, drinks, and shakes. However, this place is nothing like In-N-Out. I'm not a fan of In-N-Out.(sorry) P. Terry's much faster and I felt like we were only in line for maybe eight minutes. The Service was very friendly and helpful with questions that we had... Since we've never been there before. The burgers were fantastic. Much better quality than any fast food restaurant. The burgers were thick , juicy, and flavorful. The buns were very soft and tasted more fresh than typical fast food, restaurants buns. They also make their own sauce, which was actually good... I usually don't like "special sauces". My daughter also got a Carmel shake, which actually tasted really good as well. We look forward to having this again on our next road trip.

Love the cute touches like real flowers on the tables that make it feel a little less like typical fast food. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out hot and fresh. Waffle fries. Yum. From what I've seen and read, this location stays pretty consistent with fast service and polite staff, which matched my visit. It can get busy, but the team seems organized and keeps things moving. Overall, a solid Chick-fil-A stop if you're in Bastrop and want quick, reliable food in a clean environment... with the exception of Sundays.

In a world where younger adults are getting reamed for attitude, it was refreshing to be served by someone who was polite, smiled and helped answer some questions as I do not go here very much. I got spicy chicken on my cobb salad. It was perfect for a lunch to go. I was heading to Austin, so I ate in my car. The chicken was warm, crispy and the salad items were fresh and chilled. Even the hard boild eggs looked good and didn't have that green "glow" that they get sometimes when the salad has been sitting around. Over all, a good lunch option under $10.

Whataburger isn't just a meal, it's an experience. If you are visiting TX, you don't experience…read morethis on the same level as a Texan does but if you're in the right headspace, it's awesome. First, I want to point out that it's important to manage expectations. When I fly Spirit Airlines, I'm usually satisfied because I don't expect the same level of service & quality I might find on United, Alaska, Delta, & Southwest. I pay less and I get less and that's OK. This is not a steakhouse burger, it's fast food and I feel that it's better than most of the standard chain-faire. Is this the In n' Out of TX? Kind of. I'm a Seattle native and I grew up on Dick's Drive-In, which I still love & I believe is the reason that In n' Out will never try to breach the Seattle market. As any Seattle native knows, CA started invading our city in the 1980's and you can easily see the ultimate results of that. I'm not here for social commentary but I will say that WA set themselves up for their fate by already embracing a lot of CA's bad ideas before the invasion began & then enacting them when the echo chamber became overwhelming. I don't think Texans would tolerate that. One of the things I hated about the Californians is how snotty they were about Dick's Drive-In. They would crap all over it because they preferred In n' Out & frankly, I've tried them both many times and I'll stick with DDI. This was my third trip to TX, & my first to the Austin area. I have moved to NV since my last visit and my perspective has changed a bit. I think the first two times I visited, I was a snotty Northwesterner & I instinctively looked down on TX because it wasn't like WA. Since I hated the way the CA people did that in WA, I realized I was a hypocrite. This time, I came with a new attitude and I saw it all through a different lens. I love it now. I love how friendly the people are. I love the overall attitude and vibe. Eating at Whataburger was fantastic. I'm not a huge burger eater beyond DDI but I enjoyed this meal more for the experience than for the food. I don't want to short-change the food, it was tasty and the portions were good as well as the prices but the employees and other patrons were wonderful. I had never been to this city before and they treated me like a part of their community. I love food and even do food blogging and videos and I would urge all of my friends to go try Whataburger with an open mind and an appreciation of a true TX experience.

I genuinely cannot believe I've never written a review for Paw-Paw's Catfish House because we have…read morebeen coming here for YEARS and I love this place so much. There are restaurants you try once because they're trendy... and then there are places like Paw-Paw's -- the kind that become part of your family's story over time. From the fried deviled eggs, to the seafood platters, to the chicken tenders, to the genuinely wonderful staff, there just isn't a better spot for this kind of old-school comfort food experience. And the staff? Always SO friendly and welcoming. Every single time we come in, it feels less like "customer service" and more like old friends excited you finally stopped by so they can catch up with you awhile. That kind of warmth cannot be faked, and it makes such a difference. Now let's discuss these fried deviled eggs. Because respectfully... who allowed them to be this good? You think deviled eggs have reached their final form and then Paw-Paw's comes in like, "Hold my beer." Crispy, crunchy, creamy, flavorful perfection. We start most meals with them because not ordering them would simply be poor decision making at this point. I usually get the chicken tender basket and LISTEN -- these aren't sad little freezer tenders pretending to be a meal. These tenders are literally as big as my hand. Juicy, tender, flavorful, cooked perfectly every time. My adult kids are obsessed with the seafood platter: three pieces of fried catfish and three jumbo fried shrimp with fries, pinto beans, slaw, hushpuppies, and homemade tartar or cocktail sauce. And when I say the catfish tastes CLEAN, my fellow seafood people will understand exactly what I mean. No muddy taste, no weirdness -- just fresh, crispy, perfectly fried fish done right. And the portions? Paw-Paw did NOT come to play. Nobody is leaving hungry unless that was a personal choice. What I love most, though, is the feeling of the place. The small-town care. The heart that clearly goes into the food. The old-school comfort vibe that feels increasingly rare these days. Places like this matter. And Paw-Paw's is absolutely one of them.
