I like my sandwiches HOT as in the opposite of cold, i.e. not spicy. Mike's has a grill and half their menu is cheesesteaks including six different chicken cheesesteaks. I ordered a #17 which is their famous Philly with grilled onions and peppers. The sandwich tasted excellent. The perfect combination of ingredients cooked thoroughly with melted cheese. Super delicious! Service here was fast and my order was correct. If you don't want fountain soft drinks they offer bottled soft drinks, Pure Leaf tea, sports drinks and water. read more

I went to retrieve my birthday sub. The workers said that was no longer a thing after explaining that I received the email that morning. They told me to put in my phone number, and I did have the points to redeem my free sub. They didn't give me a hard time making my veggie sandwich on the grill as I had an issue last Sunday at a different location. They seemed to be more excited that it was my birthday than I was, which made my day. My sandwich was AMAZING. Just like I like it. I'm glad that I didn't let the experience earlier in the week deter me from going back again because I love this place. Being vegan/sometimes vegetarian is hard to find good food. Plus they made my birthday even more special with their customer service. Thank you. read more

It has been a while since I've had Jersey Mike's and it was delicious. I ordered the club, and it had all the right fixings and the veggies are fresh. They have a wide variety of hot and cold subs. The deli meat is sliced at the counter when they prep the sandwiches. The staff worked efficiently to manage the long line of customers. They also have great cream soda and root beer! read more

I love Jersey Mike's Subs and loathe the fact that there aren't more locations, so ever since I realized there was one in this shopping plaza near Castleton Square Mall, I make it point to stop in a grab a sub (or two) when I'm in the area! I dropped in on Sunday and apparently, I wasn't the only person craving one of their beautifully-crafted sandwiches. There was a family of four and another lady ahead of me, but I was greeted right away and able to let the staff member know what I wanted. I ordered the BLT, which isn't listed on their menu, and the Italian. I like to get my BLT without the T and add mayo and a hearty smear of pepper relish. If you haven't tried their pepper relish, please do. It's got a nice kick! I got my Italian "Mike's Way" minus the tomato and added mayo and banana peppers. I had the BLT during the ride home and the Italian the next day! They were both so yummy! The staff was working hard to provide quick service, which resulted in a bit of chaos. They started on the order of the lady in front of me, but forgot to toast her sub, so then they started building my subs. After preparing one of mine, hers came out of the toaster. I assumed that they would finish hers and allow her to pay, but then things got confusing. They asked what I wanted and then asked her what she wanted....began working on hers, called me over to pay and finished her sub. Being that I was called away to pay, I was hoping they got my order right. I didn't see them complete it, but it was correct. read more

Yep, this is one of my favorite sandwich places! The employees were very friendly here, too. I had previously only ever ordered the #7 Turkey and provolone sub Mike's way (so good!!!) but recently branched out and tried the big kahuna cheesesteak, which is also delicious. I tried the Buffalo chicken cheesesteak which, to be honest, I personally wouldn't get again just because it was very messy. I recently had the craving for a Turkey sandwich. I hate subway and Indy apparently doesn't have a ton of sandwich shops. I saw the name as I was driving down 82nd and swung by. Man, this is pretty great sub! I ordered they Turkey with provolone on white. Added LTO, Mayo, banana peppers, and vinegar. I am surprised to be so impressed with a sandwich but I am. I haven't had Jersey Mike's in YEARS!!! Decided to give it a try. Why didn't you all tell me how delicious it was??? I ordered the Big Kahuna and it was the best sandwich I've ever had at a sub shop. I ordered the steak Philly sub. Service was fast and friendly. The meat was cooked and seasoned well. Overall a good sub, my only hang up was that there was more bread than meat which is a bit frustrating for a $10 sub. read more

Tried a new place today for lunch! Got the regular turkey and provolone sandwich on white bread with extra mayo and lettuce. It was really tasty and I loved that they didn't hold back on filling the sandwich. It was substantial and I appreciated that. Staff was great and fast. I'll definitely stop in here again for a tasty lunch! Next time, I'll order my sandwich 'Mike's Way' which includes onion, red wine vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper. MMmmmmmmmm read more

LOVE THIS PLACE turkey is my fav! The recently remodeled. Store looks brand new! They have hot and cold subs to choose from Toppings are lettuce onion vinegar oil oregano tomato banana peppers mayo pickles and they have this sauce call hot pepper relish. The worst. I ordered my sub online for delivery. Nobody showed up for 45 minutes. I called and was told that they didn't get my order. I called back to tell them that I was charged. The manager said "ok man. I don't know how to do it. I'll ask". He didn't ask for my name, never called me back. So I got food somewhere else. About 45 minutes later some guy shows up at my door and hands me a crumpled brown bag. My sub sucked. The club supreme was only bread, meat cheese. read more

Was looking forward to jersey mikes. Left the gym early to go as they close at 9 pm. Got there 20 minutes before 9 and the doors were locked and they wouldn't let us in. I didn't know that closing at 9 pm meant closed at 8:40 pm. Disappointed. read more

5 star for the food. I had the # 4 cold Mike's way extra wet and it was awesome. Wifey had the hot chicken phillie w/ shrooms and very good. We've been going to Jersey Mike's southeast coast locations for over 20 years and like their food. I've highly recommended this location to my friends and coworkers as it's the only one near Carmel. So...why the 2 star rating? Because management doesn't appear to care one whit about restrooms (yes plural) cleanliness. Massive FAIL I frequent this store but am giving serious consideration to never returning - guess I should check out restrooms before I go through the line. Do the prep and storage areas suck this badly as well? I hope not. Do staff get trained on sanitation best practices? That thought certainly gives me pause. I could probably get the standard canned response, "well, we were swamped" - but it was 2:00p on a Sunday with 5 'kids' at the counter - yeah the Colts were playing (Detroit) but it wasn't busy and they didn't seem to care about the game. Either too many 2nd lieutenants and no grunts or the cat's away. Frankly there are no excuses for this - only reasons - and I'm still peeved 20 hours later. [insert grimace icon here] read more

The best subs in Indy! A true sandwich from the east coast! The sandwiches comes in 3 sizes but I would recommend the giant! It can easily be split between two people! The sandwich is huge! It's a little pricey but totally worth it! They have wraps, cold and hot sandwiches and little sides. My favorite is #13 the original Italian. You must get it the Mike's way to truly have an authentic east coast sub! It is the perfect place to go to get a healthy and quick meal! Make sure to sign up for their rewards program to collect points! This place is one of Indiana best kept secrets for sure! Jersey Mikes ranks #1 in cold sandwiches and firmly sits at #3, behind firehouse and penn station when rating quality/price of quick sandwich spots. This is the second time I've been to one in Indiana, but taste is consistent across states. I grabbed a roast beef + provalone/Mike's way. I'm glad they keep the toppings to a minimum and font drown everything in sauce. I tried to utilize my birthday reward, but had some issues. Even though the scanner was malfunctioning, they still honored my code, which was great. I'll print it out when I come back next year :D read more

My first Jersey Mike's was out by Cherry Hill, NJ. Lots in New Jersey. I went into this one and have 5 starred other Jersey Mike's. This one gets 2 stars for not one single salt packet in the place. I asked for salt packets for my roast beef and they don't have any and the gal begrudgingly gave me their salt shaker behind the counter to use and give back. They don't welcome you like other Mike's. They placed my wrapped sub on spilled drink on the stainless steel counter. They just let you come in and the employees talk among each other and expect you to assert your order and then the gal appeared put-off to enter my order. I'm really sorry, I apologize for bothering these employees. My apologies. (Ask them about the salt to verify, like I'm a liar.) read more

I have been to Five Guys in person many times, so I am used to the ambiance and the service in person. Five Guys is an excellent burger place and they use the right oils when preparing the French fries. The burgers are pure 100% beef and always made to order. The potatoes for the French fries are pure Idaho potatoes, and cholesterol free. You can get unlimited toppings for the burger with a charge for certain toppings. The service is wonderful and the ambiance is very relaxing and relaxing. I have always enjoyed the burger and fries at Five Guys and will continue to do so for years to come. Five Guys is excellent!!

However, today I found myself needing multiple items that could all be found within the confines of Castleton and knew that I was going to be in that area anyway. So, mask in hand I headed this direction hoping that current health directives were being enforced and that I wouldn't come home with any dastardly viruses. It's not particularly surprising that the mall has experienced some turnover over the course of these months including businesses leaving and businesses arriving. This business, Fresh Burger, takes over the spot vacated by another burger vendor - Indy Burger. Fresh Burger is, as you could probably guess, a burger joint. It's a fairly basic burger joint that opened up in late October and serves a handful of different burgers (made with 100% halal beef), housemade chicken fingers, a chili dog, milkshakes, ice cream, and some sides including some fry variations. They serve fountain soft drinks plus lemonade. I did not see any iced tea options on the menu. The prices are pretty reasonable - you can definitely eat for under a ten spot. You can order a sandwich alone and add fries and a drink for $3.29. As noted, Fresh Burger is located inside the food court. It's easily accessible since all mall entryways include automated doors and the food court is still open concept. Masks are being enforced. Tables are all 6' apart. This has reduced capacity for sure, but it feels safer. I had to hunt for a place to eat, but I'd rather have that than a virus. I ordered a burger, fries, and a lemonade. My meal came in right about $7.52. The staff was friendly, though it seemed their business was slow and, as such, it seemed like response time was a bit slow. I initially waited a couple minutes at the counter and watched while 1-2 customers did the same. It wasn't bad at all, but definitely noticeable. How was the food? Quite middling. I actually would say it was somewhat better than Indy Burger. The fries were slightly thicker, though I felt like they were a bit rushed since I was actively waiting. They were salted a bit more than I typically prefer. The burger was delivered as ordered and was on a lightly toasted bun. It was decent enough - it's the only burger option in the mall, so if you're craving a burger it'll probably satisfy the craving. I didn't dislike anything, but I'm not sure there was anything here that would make me jump to Fresh Burger as my first choice in this food court considering chick-fil-a and a pizza joint remain options here. However, if I were craving a burger or even a shake the reasonable prices would be enough to convince me to eat here again.
