    Bacon Avocado Burger
    Kaleigh L.

I was super excited to try this place for the first time because I heard they had great burgers! The drive thru took a veryyy long time. I got the 'bacon avocado' burger. The pictures online showed sliced avocados, but this is a mashed/spread avocado. I LOVE me some avocado but whoa, it was covered in it. Overall it made the burger super messy and everything was falling out of it easily... it was a decent burger, but unfortunately I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again, especially for how long it took to get an order.

I have been to this location multiple times and each time I'm very satisfied. Customer service is great. They make everything fresh to order. Even if they have a long line the line moves quickly. I love their turkey burgers, jalapeño poppers, and shakes. Those items are delicious and I have yet to be disappointed with them. This is a drive thru only restaurant. The menu to order is bright to where you can see everything nicely in the dark. If you are looking for a place with delicious milkshakes and turkey burgers then look no further.

Bacon burger, fries, and mac and cheese bites

Every time I pass by this restaurant it's always busy!! I decided to try it a couple weekends ago and it was so good. I got the single bacon burger meal with large fries and a drink. Let me start by saying that a large size of fries would feed me for two days but it was great. It was a lot of food for a decent price. The burger itself wasn't dry and they add their signature secret sauce which tasted pretty good. The mac and cheese bites were probably my favorite because it was so nostalgic. Sometimes when food items are fried they can lose the original flavor and just taste like fried, but these tasted like kraft mac and cheese which was incredible.

We've had California Burgers several times, but this is my first time sharing a review. Every visit has been consistent. The burgers are always fresh and juicy. You can really taste the quality ingredients in every bite. The portions are generous, and the fries are crispy and well-seasoned--perfect for pairing with their sauces. The service has been consistently great, with friendly staff and quick service. If you're craving a solid, satisfying burger, this place never disappoints! Definitely one of our go-to spots.

California Burger is pretty too notch. Their premium burgers are delicious and their curly fries are to die for. They're drive through only, so u usually take the food over to the mall food court to eat it. And that also means there's no real service. Just a window worker taking your order and money and handing you food. It's a little pricey for drive through. But darn tasty.

This is a solid little spot to grab a burger. They have a drive thru and the inside dining is not open. I ordered a single burger, with a side of fries. They use a "special sauce" which I loved, and the burger was hot and fresh! The fries were also very well seasoned and nice, hot and crispy. The food took a little while through the drive thru, but everything was hot which I appreciated as that's not always the case with fast food.

We heard that California Burger was similar to In-N-Out so we've been eager to try it since they opened a few years ago! It is drive thru only and you can't go inside the building as a customer. The drive thru line can get long and the wait wasn't too bad, but I wouldn't call it quick either. We both got burgers and fries. The burgers were delicious and definitely better than most fast food burgers. The toppings were fresh but I ordered mine with tomatoes and got one small tomato slice that covered maybe a quarter of the burger, so that was disappointing (I love tomatoes on my burgers!) I like that they give you ketchup without asking, and they give you small containers instead of packets. We always order our burgers without cheese and they didn't put any cheese, which was appreciated as many fast food places will overlook that request. The fries were crinkle cut, crispy and delicious. Altogether it was a great meal, pretty affordable and not greasy. We will definitely be back!

I was looking for something near by and quick so I stopped here - the inside is closed so they only do drive-thru. The line was pretty busy, which is always a sign of good food. The young lady taking orders and the young man at the window were very polite! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak w/fries - pretty darn good and the fries are well seasoned. Since the inside is closed, I do not know of the ambiance but I felt like I was at an In-N-Out, Indiana style!

A work colleague mentioned how good the cheeseburgers were at this place, so I had to go. We both commented on how it looks from the outside. It sits in the front lot of Castleton Mall right by the Panda Express. When driving by it either looks vacant or has cars wrapped around the building. Little did I know that it's drive through only. You see the doors blocked with chairs as you go through. My friend was right. For a drive through burger joint and the price, these compare to Bru and Five Guys. I would say for the price, they're better than both of the latter. What impressed me more than the tastiness of the burgers, were the cheese fries. When I want cheese fries, I want the fake orange cheese and tons of it. I want as much cheese as there are fries and am normally always disappointed that the tops of the fries are coated and the rest are dry underneath. These cheese fries were drenched in lovely orange cheese all the way to the bottom of the container! For that alone this place gets 5 stars from me. I hope it wasn't a fluke. They also have chili cheese fries, which I might try on my next venture to California Burger.

California burger was high, but it was good. I would go again. I had the California melt I think that's what it's called and it was good.

I ordered the hot chocolate... just one sip and wow, I already knew. This jumped straight to the number one spot for me. Best hot chocolate I've had in the States, no question. The flavor was deep and full. You get those darker, slightly nutty notes right away, then it settles into this smooth, creamy finish that just stays with you. Every sip hits the same, and it just keeps pulling you back in. The whipped cream on top melts right into it and adds a little extra sweetness without taking away from the chocolate. The whole drink felt like an experience. I even asked how they make it and found out they use actual chocolate bars... makes sense. 100% worth it. And definitely be coming back for more.

The blueberries were the perfect pop of fruitiness. Who knew such a little thing could have so much flavor and put a huge smile on your face. The cherries were tart and sweet and so delectable. Yet, I drive by this location of LiftOff Creamery nearly every single work day as this has been my go-to route for work. So, the basics: LiftOff Creamery is a locally owned shop. It's a central Indiana mini-chain with locations here, Irvington, and Greenwood. They have a strong belief in mentoring and empowering youths with entrepreneurial skills and opportunities. If you think these opportunities are just about ice cream, think again. If you can't guess, LiftOff also has an aviation theme and a partnership with the National Aviation Youth Resources Foundation. The entrepreneurship here is about equipping young folks to dream, engage, and grow their skills. Then, there is actually the ice cream. 70-90 flavor options with a myriad of ways to work with those flavors. For the most part, LiftOff sources ingredients locally. One word - delish. Parking around this building (they are in a first-floor retail spot in the Penn Arts building) can be a little tricky. There are street spots for sure, though they don't work super well for a wheelchair. The ones on Pennsylvania Avenue are a bit better. There's also a residential area that tends to work well. You do have to be a bit careful as some of the residential areas are particular including the actual Penn Arts apartments. I got lucky and saw a really wheelchair friendly spot. I knew that it was my sign to finally stop. I did. The curb-cuts here are decent. The glass door isn't bad. The entryway is level to the ground. The interior is fine. Truthfully, I've always been surprised that LiftOff has stayed here. However, it very much feels like part of the neighborhood. LiftOff has traditional flavors, creative flavors, a rewards program, vegan options, seasonal flavors, and a nice selection of topping options. I'm inclined to go 4-stars instead of 5-stars primarily because of the difficult accessibility, however, I'd also say it's worth the effort. This neighborhood always feels harder for parking than it really is. With Loudmouth Books within walking distance, this little corner is for sure worth the stop. Like ice cream? Like kids? You'll like LiftOff Creamery.
