Every time I'm in Toronto, I make it a point to come here for a haircut. Andy, who is also the…read moreowner, is meticulous. He will ask you for what you want, and then gently give suggestions or ask more questions to help. Some hairdressers may want to get you in and out of the chair as soon as possible, but he really takes the time to make sure that you get a good haircut. Several times he will look from multiple angles, press my shoulders down evenly to make sure things are symmetrical, and then make little adjustments here and there. He is also chatty if you feel like talking, and otherwise more reticent if he senses that you want to keep to yourself. I always forget to bring cash, but if you pay cash and not credit card, you get a discount!

My guy asked if I would like to get rid of my "dead ends" - background, I have had bleached hair before. We discussed and he let me know how much, lengthwise, it would mean. I said yes and my hair is super healthy right now. He spent a little over 45 min cutting my hair. He blow dried my hair in between my cut to make sure he knew what my hair would look like "styled". I appreciated his detailed approach. One thing I will note is that they are very straight forward with their service. English is not their first language. I am not saying they are rude (please don't misunderstand) but they are clear and concise. Make sure you have an idea of what you want and I think you will also enjoy your experience. The cost of my haircut was $40. If you want a wash, it is an additional $10. I would highly recommend this hair salon.

I found it inside of…read moreAgincourt mall conveniently right by my house where I run some of my errands and a friend had recommended it. The downside to this salon is the wait time. Appointment or not the wait times can get annoying. They do their best to accommodate walk-ins alongside their appointments but that's just how busy it is. I would recommend going in the morning or mid-day. I usually have their shellac manicures and regular pedicures done. They've got a large selection of nail polish and their nail technicians are experienced and efficient with the flow of people filing through. The staff is friendly but the prices at this salon are heftier than most salons.

She was able to see what kind of style I like and gave me options. Most of the time I rate my experiences based on the massage I receive. They don't really massage you however I can't say it is always like this as it was my first time and she was trying to meet the time deadline of an hour. Fanny is cute and kind! If you go request tot see her. $63 + tax for mani pedi shellac ($55) and Smokey effect ($8)

I've never been told to stand for a stylist to cut my hair…read more.. I requested for roughly 1.5 inches to be cut off with a U-shape cut and curtain bangs. The stylist who assisted me was named Jimmy. When he started cutting, he did not section my hair which seemed odd. Turns out, it was because he was only trimming the ends to get the U-Shape. He did not use any techniques that I couldn't have done at home. He never brought my hair to the front to confirm if it was even and started blow drying my hair. When he said he was done and removed the cloak, I brought my hair to the front and it was SOOO CHOPPY. I told him immediately that it wasn't straight from the front. The front pieces were way longer than the back. Turns out, it's because he never 1. brought my hair to the front to check if it's even 2. didn't use any techniques to help the hair curve inwards (like slight layers)... There was a stylist that knows how to somewhat speak English and he was trying to tell me that the hair is supposed to look choppy because the hair sits differently when you brush it to the front versus when you leave it in the back. That explanation alone, you know these people don't know what they're doing. I've had haircuts from other salons and they all do this to check that it looks even from the front & back... He then puts the cloak back on me and moves the salon chair away and told me to stand... I was in shock. Never in my life have I ever been told or seen anyone else stand to get a hair cut... The crazy thing is, he was sighing and was annoyed at the fact that I asked him to fix the cut that he messed up on... lastly, Jimmy also didn't speak english so it was difficult to communicate. Anyways, my hair is now way shorter than I asked for and isn't want I wanted lol. Insane experience. For $50, I could've done this myself for free. Don't waste your time coming to this salon, it's just not it.

What disappointed me the most was their lack of hygiene and cleanliness. They reused equipment without washing or sanitizing... they just brushed my hair with a comb with random peoples hair stuck on it.... it was disgusting! especially during this COVID19, they surprised me on how poorly they handled the current situation lol seriously, they didn't even have one hand sanitizer ! They charged 30%of tips which they added on my bill automatically.... I mean if I am happy about the result, I don't mind paying reasonable tips but I wasn't even getting close to what I was expecting from them because of the language barrier. Definitely not returning.
