WOHOO! I think I found my favourite salon in Richmond Hill. I'm always hestitant about visiting salons in this area since people around here have the dough to pay top dollars for hair services. This location is tucked away in a small plaza, could be hard to find at first. The salon is clean and up to speck, friendly staff and affordable service!! The hairdresser educated me on how I can take care my hair for longer lasting results and even outlined what kind of hair products to use on me..I have paid as much as 300$ for getting my hair dyed but this place can get it done for a fraction of the price. The quality is superb as well. My hair was dyed red over a month ago and the colour still looks as vibrant as day one. read more

I have been going to Salon Simone for just under a year. I decided to try them out on the recommendation of friends who were seeing owner and stylist Fabrizio "Fab" Simone for some time and had nothing but great things to say the quality of his work. Salon Simone is located on the west side of Yonge St just south of Hwy 7 in Thornhill. Parking is around the rear but its shared with the other businesses in the plaza so at times is very limited. When you walk into the salon you are always warmly greeted by a receptionist and owner Fab. No matter how busy he is or who he is working on he always takes two seconds to say hello. One of the best things about this Salon is the sense of camaraderie between the staff, ever joking and jabbing at one another, providing entertainment for all the customers. Jokes aside, what has kept me coming back is my stylist Fab. Trained in England, Fabrizio is a consummate professional and expert stylist. Fab is one of the most respectful, and kind hair dressers I have ever had, His knowledge of hair styles seems endless as I have yet to bring him something he could not do. He understands my hair and my scalp better than I do, making strong recommendations of cuts and styles that will work best for me. Understanding that regular hair cuts for guys can add up in price, Fab offers free clean ups in between cuts, helping you to stretch those tight dollars and extending the life of your look. During these COVID times many are afraid to venture out to enclosed spaces where they are unsure of what germs may lurk within the confines of the walls- but let me assure you, this is not the case at Salon Simone. As soon as I walked in the door to get a root touch up and a breath taking new Fall style, the owner of the salon met me with sincere enthusiasm, happy that I had returned, but sternly asked me to please wear a mask, showing me that for $1 I could purchase one, conveniently accessible on the counter, stating that all proceeds go toward an animal charity. He too and all the staff had on the proper gear to make the world a safer place. If you were born in the 80´s, you may remember a movie called ¨Empire Records¨ staring a young Liv Tyler and Renee Zellweger among the many. Salon Simone has that same welcoming feel and fun atmosphere as found throughout the movie. The salon, similarly to the film, is somewhat of social hub with a family like feeling, where cappuccino, lattes, coffee and water are forever being offered, while getting your hair done. You feel as though you are part of an extended community, one in which you can relate to at all times and want to be a part of. Every single employee of this establishment can be seen with a smiling face, a greeting voice and a youthful persona to which there is a vibe that propels you to want to return time and time again. The product knowledge of the owner and staff is second to none. Typically when I walk through the doors of this salon prepared to get my hair done, Fab, the owner who I am so appreciative of, always fits me in and always does my hair, asks me what I would like done- to which I reply ¨whatever you think Fab.¨ Every time, every single time, he dyes and styles my hair to what in my opinion is Vidal Sassoon Quality, for half the price. I am also blown away by how incredulous my hair looks after done, unable to believe that it truly is my hair! Both the colour and the style are amazing and bring out the best in my facial features. I passed by and saw the sign. I was in the mood for a last-minute blow dry. I pulled over and looked them up. The male voice on the other side was extremely friendly and welcoming, and it set the tone for the experience. I got an immediate appointment and turned around. The salon is lovely and HUGE; it's very deceiving from the outside. I had a lovely shampoo and massage, great blow dry and friendly service. The prices seem reasonable, as well. Two things that put me off: Styrofoam cups for cappuccino are a no-no for me, and being serviced by someone who still smells like the cigarette they've just put out is a turn off. I am picky, but that's my truth. I would definitely go back though, but I would request a non-smoker, and yes, I would still accept the cappuccino! read more

Beautiful salon with top of the line hairstylists. Leidy is an incredible colorist and cares about the health of your hair, making recommendations when needed to keep your hair healthy. Everyone at the salon is friendly and welcoming. They always offer a coffee or cappuccino (or 2) when I'm there. The salon itself is well located and beautiful. read more

I have been a client of Salon Simone for the last 11 years. Their entire staff and particularly Fabio, the owner are the epitome of class. It's a hair salon "where everyone knows your name" you are always greeted warmly and made to feel most welcome. It is head and shoulders above any other salon I have ever been to in Toronto. Fabio is obliging, caring and considerate of your needs. Nothing is too much, he goes above and beyond the normal call of duty to keep his clients happy. He is an expert stylist, his cuts and colours are excellent. I can highly recommend him and any one of the other stylists at the salon. Parking is plentiful which is a plus. I just had my hair done here by Orin, she is very pleasant to work with. However the owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. I had to come in twice because the first time my results were not achieved. Upon my second visit, as I am leaving the "owner" Fabrizo, makes a point to tell me, the customer, that I should know what I want the first time, so I don't waste their time. First of all any business that operates in customer service should work around the customer and understand the customer comes first. He made me so uncomfortable that I will never go their again and make sure that all of my friends do the same. If you choose to go to this place you have been warned. read more
