I found street parking quickly. I trust Asian barbers for my hair and got a great haircut at $10 from a very friendly fellow. Jess had lots of young men clientele walking-in. I paid $12 with tip. The whole thing only took 15 minutes or so, which was great. I feel like Jess gave me the exact haircut I asked for. I knew I would get a great haircut beforehand bc the guy before me got a great haircut as well. I don't think there's hair washing facility, but Jess used vacuum cleaner to get hair out. Jess' Barber Shop is the place for me. Jess has created a nice environment to get your haircut without overpaying. Jess is quick, extremely pleasant, and very talented. He even uses scissors for haircuts and a straight razor for shaves. Since I work in Bellevue, and live in Seattle, I will often miss Jess ' business hours (open til 6) for weeks. Jess is cool. Cuts quickly. The cut took less than 15 mins and I had a lot to cut off. He's got several clippers available on standby so he doesn't have to change out the trim number. Like other posts he vacuums your head when he's done. That's cool so you won't have a bunch of cut hair all day. Raised price from $10 to $12 as of 3/2015. My haircut was average. He doesn't do any sort of fancy work with scissors, so don't come in for "a little off the top" because you will end up with a full-blown haircut. I asked him to "trim" my beard... He pretty much just trimmed around the jawline and didn't actually trim any of the beard. I had to go home and trim down 3 months of growing since he trimmed it so short. All in all, it was an okay experience. If you're looking for just an ordinary, no frills haircut, then this is the place. If you're looking for something more specific, look elsewhere. read more

I work nearby. I used to go to Capitol Hill to a 'hair stylist' I had been going to for something like 25 years. I was, at most five minutes late recently, so I had to watch him cut someone's hair for 45 minutes. So, I fired him!!!! It was such a hassle to find a parking spot on Capitol Hill, unless I wanted to pay to park. Plus this guy used to charge something like $25 or so, plus tip. The appointments took an entire evening by the time I was done. You know, the drive over there, looking for a spot, waiting for my haircut, and then the 30 minutes or more in the chair, and then the drive home. The place was noisy too. It was an ordeal to get a haircut. Now, I call Jess, to see if there is anyone else waiting. I walk the one block there. He quickly cuts my hair. It is nothing fancy, comb and electric shears. He is smiling as he works. I am out of there is less than 10 minutes. The best part is that he only charges $10. I leave happy and not stressed out, like before. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! If you usually get a buzz cut and a line up, this is the worst place in all of Seattle to get one. I went here today and he messed up my hair line. One side crooked and I became really insecure. No razor blades for line ups either. HE CHARGES $10 b/c ur only on the seat for 10 MINUTES!
