Booked them for my best friends wedding…read more At our trial run there were 3 people who did the hair & makeup. Makeup was beautiful but the hair could've been better. The side was beautifully done with a braid that wrapped back into a bun, but the bun itself in the back just looked like a rats nest. The bride emailed them after the trial with the alterations she wanted & they were very receptive. Day of the wedding: there were 2 people doing hair & makeup vs 3. This made everything take longer & we pretty much ran out of time. They started my hair (the longest & thickest) of the group with about 40 minutes before we had to be out to take photos. It was really rushed & my hair showed that. The front they did nothing to, they just put texture spray in & pulled it back into some braids - these looked good but the front of my hair (that everyone is going to see the most & be in photos forever) was pretty bland. They "curled" a small portion of my hair that was left down; which I re curled myself less than an hour later because it was a frizzy mess of no curls. I reblended in my eyeshadow which had a harsh unblended section on each eyelid; had to request that they fix my eyebrows which were filled in unevenly & I had to tone down the highlighter on the Mother of the Bride's face because it was pretty blinding. & added blush because she thought she looked washed out. The brides back of her hair looked a MILLION times better than it did in the trial. But they didn't do the ONE thing we had loved from the trial; the really thick braid that went from the front back into the bun. The brides hair was also falling out in a manner of an hour or so after getting done... it's a really good thing we had brought our own bobby pins & hairspray because we put in a ton more post hair. All in all, I think it came down to the fact that there were only 2 people instead of 3. We had a small bridal party so if there were this many problems with only 4 hair & 5 makeups to do, I can't imagine with a larger party. Overall the job was good, but it definitely could've been improved.
