It started with a simple quote. Peter came out soon after I asked for a quote, and right off the bat he emitted a strong knowledge of tree service. This is probably because they are a certified arborist, and that gave me confidence that they would prune/trim a tree while keeping it healthy for the long term. I had a neighbors oak tree encroaching into my yard toward my home. I wanted it trimmed back. I also wanted 2 small dogwoods with stumps removed. Peter explained exactly what they'd do. The quote was reasonable, I setup an appointment. Tanya, who setup the details of the appointment was excellent at communicating with me, sending me numerous status updates emails during the weeks prior to the appointment, letting me know about any possible day shift due to weather. Amazing communication. The day of, she called to let me know the guys were on the way. When Peter and the crew arrived, they came with 3 huge trucks, a full crew of ~ 5 people, and tons of professional equipment. They certainly came prepared and on time (early actually). Peter remembered exactly what I had asked for, and I respect that because I'm sure they're busy and it was over a month since he came out for the quote. He pointed out to the crew which branches to cut, etc, consistent with the branches that he originally told me at the time of the quote. There were no surprises. The job proceeded. One guy in a bucket truck went ahead trimming the oak tree, and the others got right to work with the 2 dogwoods. They worked fast. You could tell they've done this before. One tree was encroaching on the utility line to my home, and that worker was careful not to disrupt the lines. When the job was done, they cleaned up. In regards to the stump removal, I had that done by someone else in the past and that person left a total mess. Comparing this job to that old job from another tree service, White Hills cleaned the remains from the stump removal very well, which made it easy for me to toss some grass seed down with little additional work for me. Overall, this is a long review, but I will absolutely recommend White Hills to family and friends, and will absolutely use them whenever I'm in need of tree service.
