If you love the beauty and culture of the Napa Valley, then you'll love Jessel Gallery, a large and well curated gallery that should be on a 'must see' list of the Napa Valley. Highly recommend. This classy and quirky gallery is located in the beautiful eastern foothills of the Napa Valley, right by the Silverado Country Club. The Jessel Gallery, founded by renowned watercolorist Jessel Miller, is home to some of the finest artists in California including Erin Dertner, Susan Hoehn & Timothy Dixon, Daniel Mundy, Alan Sanborn and Diane Pope. Surrounded by exquisite gardens filled with whimsical sculptures made of found objects by father and son team of "Glashoff Scultures" & lovely decks this unique setting also features unusual gifts, books written/illustrated by Jessel, museum quality framing by John Stemmer & giclee prints of all the artists created by Ryan Miller, Jessel's partner and son. New & Consignment Clothing is featured in the gallery and Aragon Arts jewelry fills the first room upfront along with Tapestry Studios Home Decor Room. Jessel Gallery honors different artists or art groups for a month in the back showroom. This includes the Open Studios show in Sept 2015 and the Napa Photography Society show in October plus a huge Holiday Boutique November and December. Opening Reception is the first Friday of the month. You can email the gallery to be added to the email invitation at the following email address jesselgallery@napanet.net. If you are visiting the valley you can join Jessel Miller on Saturday Morning from 10:30am to 1:30pm for her amazing watercolor class. Beginners and Beyond are welcome and Jessel will provide the supplies necessary for the class. The cost is $50.00 drop-in. Come join Jessel and her staff and stroll the gardens of her 100 year old 12000 sq ft gallery. Jessel Gallery is the oldest and largest gallery in the Napa Valley.

On our visit last week, we found out about the gallery from the guide in our hotel room. Since we wanted to do something different for us, we decided to be a little cultured in the morning, rather than start wine tasting so early... It was a wonderful experience! It's not a traditional gallery, it has local designers jewelry in one room, other rooms of vintage clothes and accessories, some local designer made clothes, an art studio, gifty items and watercolor art for sale from several local artists as well as acrylic and oil paintings. Also, there is a beginning watercolor class every Saturday morning for $45, or $50 if you you need the supplies. I wish I was able to try it, but we were there mid week. Bummer! Melinda was very helpful with our gift certificate for my sister in law, and measuring a giclee print I am considering ordering. She also gave us info on a winery and restaurant where we were going in Rutheford. I will definitely visit again the next time we go up! Thank you guys for having a wonderful and charming gallery.

    Her outdoor decor is delightful!

They'll…read moreannounce all sorts of special events, but the big one that I like is the 50% off everything in the store event. They do do this periodically. With a sale like this, prices plummet so precipitously that I end up buying oddball items like mason jars just because I want the lid for my much bigger and more useful mason jar at home. I thought I knew the store pretty well, but I was wrong. There were all sorts of little sections that I had overlooked in my previous visits. I found a little set of bins, loaded with useful supplies for some of my favorite but more obscure hobbies. I was really really impressed by the coffee table that was priced at $.85. That is correct cents. This was so unbelievable that I checked the price tags three times. Unfortunately, it didn't fit my car, it doesn't match any of my decor and it doesn't fit my spaces. Oh well There are some sections, such as the stationary area that are so reliably overstocked that I don't even bother to visit office supply stores or check out Amazon before I shop here. In fact when I wanted to measure an item, I wished I had bought a tape measure. But then it occurred to me that the overstocked stationary area would probably have lots of rulers. Problem solved. For once, I arrived early enough that I could donate. I've been diligently collecting my donations and missing the donation times for almost a year. It pays to sign up for the mailing list because they will unexpectedly shut down donations because they no longer have any storage. This has happened to me multiple times until I wised up and got the emails. I rummaged over enough stuff, lost track of time, and finally snapped out of it when my stomach told me to go home. In spite of the attractive sale,, it was not overcrowded. It was still comfortable and gave you plenty of space to look at items and try to figure out what some of the more obscure objects were. I didn't actually end up buying very much. But clearly the fun was in the treasure hunt.

My wife found two flannel shirts that are of great quality and will be warm during our chilly weather. Pricing was fair, my guess is 50% off of retail. It's a not a big shop like a Goodwill or Salvation, but it's larger the a boutique Thrift Shop. 1st room is mostly clothing, second room is books, dvds, CDs , houseware and electronics. (Very limited electronics). I did find a nice Cheese Knife Set for my Charcuterie collection Staff was super friendly. % Recommend

They always have a great variety of shoes, dresses, shirts, purses, and accessories in all sizes. You can tell people love consigning here because there's always something new and interesting on the racks. It sounds like if you're a local, you can get a card that keeps track of your store credit from consigning, which seems like such a fun and smart system. The store itself isn't overly crowded, which makes browsing really enjoyable and relaxing. The only small suggestion I'd have is to maybe reorganize the jewelry section near the front--sometimes it gets a little jammed with people coming in and out, so it'd be nice if there was a bit more flow there. Other than that, this place is a solid 10/10! Always a fun stop when I'm in the neighborhood.

Considering the length of the building, I actually expected shop to be much larger inside than it is. This place is smaller than your average convenience store. More than half of the store is given over to women's clothing with just one small corner given over to men's. There's also some books, furniture, glassware, knickknacks, and shoes. You find the newest clothing arrivals outside the front door along with the clearance items. They do have a discount system that works here along with a 50% off section inside. It seemed like a lot of the clothing was a little pricey, but once you start deducting some of the sale pricing, it starts to make more sense. 10 Informative photos included.
