Super cute store off of Sonoma Highway with their own parking lot. It's a bright neon green building that's hard to miss. Everything in there is clean and organized. They have available fitting rooms, prices marked clearly and a wide selection of items. The employees are approachable, sweet and friendly. They accept all forms of payment. I really took my time walking down every aisle. Fun place to shop for a great cause. Definitely will be back! read more

This place is amazing! Not only is the store super fun and clean, their merch is top notch for a thrift store. Also, they give back to the community in the best kind of way, sending regular (generous) funding to local schools multiple times per year. When I'm donating unneeded clothing, I always put my best items aside for RoT for this reason. Sometimes stuff that is new with tags. Love this place and their mission!! read more

I'm visiting a friend, and I have been to this shop 4 times this week. They are always putting out new things, and I just can't take a chance and miss out. Their prices are so good you'll think of leaving a tip! The staff as a whole is friendly, welcoming and more than helpful. I got word the 50% off sale would be going on and to come early, so yours truly was first in line. I waited an hour with the coveted first in line spot. My friend was working so I had all day to pick, and what better way to spend my birthday!! The customers were just as awesome as the staff, the group sang me happy birthday while we anxiously awaited opening time. The doors opened and I was off! I had scouted out all the things I wanted the day before, and had tried things on so as not to waist time. Well wouldn't you know it... I found more things I didn't see the day before. I ended up going back later in the afternoon, just in case. And I found three more dresses and another vintage slip! I went back with my friend today and found some sewing odds and ends and a ruffler foot for my sewing machine. I love this store, and I hope you go give it a try! Really small selection of clothing, but the real gem is the back area with all the home decor and kitchen ware. Big selection but you have to dig a little. The cashier was super nice and polite as well. I think we came on a donation drop off date, because the parking lot was really busy and full. Unfortunately my boyfriend and I only walked out with a mug, but he was pretty happy with it. I don't know if I'd recommend for clothing since selection wasn't the best. read more

If you are ever in Sonoma, find your way to where the locals thrift. Great gem. The prices are the best I've seen in a long time and they have lots of things to look at. My husband and I got scared we were actually going to like it a bit too much. Haha We were in there maybe for 10 mins and had our hands full. I would have began digging through the clothes of it wasn't for our lunch reservations on the square haha! Crayons 50 cents, yarn $2, a couple of picture frames $1 each and some other cool snags. I'll make it a point to spend more time next time I'm back in Sonoma ! read more

I was surprised at the amount of high end items donated and sold at fair prices. not as cheap as Goodwill but better organized and more quality items. My wife got an Anthropologie dress for $24 with no stains or issues, $200 new! I found a Brooks Brothers suit in my size but the pant cuffs were a bit too worn for me to use for work ... There was also a nice Canelli dress shirt that would've paired well with the BB suit but not a good fit for me. They're air conditioned, clean (for a little thrift store), and the staff were helpful without being invasive. I'll be back! read more

This was my very first thrift store and it launched the hobby for me. When you first walk in you're greeted by a medium sized room and you think, "this is it?" But then after you poke around you find a back room the same size filled to the brim. I found a few good steals here my first go, a really clean Under Armour button up jacket, brand new, still smells new, I payed a whopping 10 dollars for it. My girlfriend picked up a really nice top too, it was only 5 dollars. They have a whole rack for vintage/high end and it's dirt cheap! Friendly staff, very casual atmosphere, and their proceeds go to Sonoma schools. I will definitely be coming back. read more

Really, stop in here on occasion and grab some items for the kids events and usually find what I am looking for, dirt cheap. Hands down, best thrift store in all of Sonoma County! Yup, as good as it gets and then some. Men's clothing is in the back and is always well organized. Quality of the items are always top-notch, not to mention their prices are cheaper than the Goodwills. Bought a slighty used Keurig about a year and a half ago for only $20 bucks and still working! Everything in this store is clean, clean, clean! Parking can be a bit cramped at times, there is parking on the street and across the street as well. I am sure you will find something at rock bottom prices! read more

One quick look. Full of crappy, ugly merchandise. Your local Goodwill store is a Nordstrom's compared to this biz. Don't bother.

The atmospherehere is very positive and friendly. Prices are the same as all the other thrift stores in town. So why go here? #1 reason is they support all the public achools in the valley PTOs! School's PTO provides much needed support to their school. Fundraising has become so difficult due to the lack of help. A few parents doing all the work all the time. So R of Thrift has literally kept ptos a float due to their generous quartley contibutions. #2 reason to shop there are the friendliness of the employees. It starts with the owners and is passed on to their employees and volunteers. If I have something I think is a good resale,clothes that still have tags on them or barely worn I donate there. Great selection of stuff, but no furniture ( no room). But clothes!!! And household items, craft supplies! read more

Thrifting at it's best! Republic of Thrift is a fabulous little gem! Always an interesting selection of items~ they seem to always have vintage and interesting collectibles. The store is tidy and organized~ there are no stained, dirty or damaged items. The prices are great~ realistic and fair for used items. I don't understand why you would update your hours on google to show you were open from May 23-29 from 12-5pm only to have a sign on the window saying closed until further notice. We drove for an hour to come check out the store. Please don't waste people's time and money by being so lazy you can't update your hours correctly on google and yelp. read more

Cool place to get cheap partly used goods. They have plenty of toys and dvds. They even have clothing on racks in very good shape with dressing rooms. But it's hard to find clothes in a kids or teens size. It would be more helpful if there were kids and teens clothing racks. read more

I like this place! It also donates a lot of money to the local schools is which very much appreciated!! They have a decent selection of items. I bought a WII with 4 controllers and three other accessories for only $30! It all worked fine too!! The only downside is the parking it's a huge hassle to park. read more

Republic of Thrift is by far my favorite Sonoma thrift store. You name it, I've found it here - and most of it in pretty good condition. Furniture, clothing, shoes, linens, dishes etc. Like any other thrift store, it can be hit or miss. You might leave empty handed or you might walk out with a total score. The staff has always been really pleasant with me. The prices aren't bad and the fact that all profits go to local schools is a total bonus! I love this place and highly recommend it if you're making the rounds at all the local thrift stores! read more

Clothing is WAY over priced for the quality of it, its dirty I had to walk away from it ASAP. The back room is a huge mess things all over the place employees just through things back no organization at all. Hazardous to look around in the piles of stuff. Republic of Thrift has everything, fashion, furniture, vintage and somehow they always have great kids wear and toys so you can shop with your child and keep them entertained.
