Sandra is by far the most phenomenal massage therapist I have ever encountered. We had be usual pre-massage consultation where we discussed what was going on for my body, my line of work, and the general "what's up?" that would help Sandra figure out where to begin. She immediately knew how to address an injury that has baffled many physicians, chiropractors, acupuncturists and physical therapists. Sandra is an amazing communicator, which I find essential to a successful session. Throughout our session Sandra continued to ask very specific questions pertaining to my injury, and make connections to other facets of life, etc. I could tell she was just hell-bent on getting to the bottom of the issue. After the massage was finished, we spent a good 15 minutes going over anatomy charts where Sandra walked me through the varying muscles, ligaments and joints that were the likely culprits of my injury. We discussed next steps and created a plan of action that would see me through back to a pain-free existence. I'm so grateful to have found Sandra and truly recommended her services to anyone looking to work through their physical restrictions (or those who just want an amazing massage).

It is something that she actively studies, and as I later learned, has been actively studying for many years. Many therapists go to massage school for a year, then go to work, taking an occasional, often random class to learn something new. Jessica, on the other hand, consistently fine-tunes her work, works with a master to improve her abilities in Thai massage and Thai medicine. It's the difference between going to playing basketball in college for a year and then doing 7 years of pick-up games with your coworkers, vs. getting consistent coaching with a professional basketball player for 7 years straight. You get Really Good. This is a longwinded way of saying that I really respect Jessica's work, as well as her approach. Our session was both relaxing and effective. She did point-specific, deep tissue massage work in a way that was engaging, comfortable, fascinating, and peaceful. For decades I've suffered from 24/7 leg cramps of both calves. I discovered a decade ago a very firm leg massage (not foot massage) turns me from hobbling in pain to ready to run a mile and is the only thing that works. I hadn't had a massage in a long time and after 6 months the pain was disturbing my sleeping, so I visited Susie for the first time. After her work the result was: 1. an hour later the pain was gone. 2. 3 months later (with no change in routine, the pain was still gone) 3. a year later I did go back as the pain returned a bit, but considering I've gone to other massage therapists and returned a month later or walked away with no change this is a major improvement and I never expected it to be permanent. 4. after the massage I felt like she pulled my body apart and put it back together. While she was doing the leg massage she also covered my neck, head, arms, back, since all the body is connected (hint: avoid a masseuse who just does the legs or feet but nothing else) and discovered a point on my back that was really full of tension. She was right. I hadn't told her about it. She's that insightful. A month later I went back for a follow-up polarity therapy session. I never had one, but was amazed how it was the perfect follow-up to the previous work. Susie knows her stuff. She's brings a holistic approach to the bodywork. I find sports massage too clinical, so Susie is perfect with a great environment. Just one table and its just her. She's also enjoyable to just be around. For those who are modest everything is covered. I can't recommend her enough and then a bit more.
