However, when I went to schedule a massage a few months later (and when I finally could get through to a person), I was told there were no massages that I had available. The secretary said the owner was the only one who could handle this, but she never got back to me. I tried email, telephone messages, and even direct text and calls to the owner as originally she was the one who did the initial call to determine the best type of massage and which therapist would be best, so I had her phone number. So she took my money for no services. Now, apparently, it's just the owner, Stephanie, doing massages and no one else. No one answers the phone. Disorganized. The massage therapist I had before was excellent (not Stephanie), but I can not get through to find out where she went. Stephanie was very disorganized, extremely late to the original call, and took my money(!) never getting back to me to either reimburse or let me schedule the massage. I would not go there again!

I chose this place because they had availability and had great reviews online. The two main reasons I did not like the experience is because we received the wrong massages. Instead of stone massages we received standard massages. Our masseuse was very apologetic when she realized the error while checking us out. I appreciate her confirming that because I otherwise would have thought that's just what stone massages are like. The second reason is because it was hard to relax. There are two massage rooms and the waiting room. We unfortunately could hear everything in the next room because the other masseuse talked very loudly to her patients. They said because they didn't have two masseuses the price would be discounted but we ended up paying more than the listed price on the door. The massage experiences was terrible as well. The lady walked in on me while changing and didn't leave the room and watched me change. I got on the bed with a towel and underwear on and she ripped the towel and underwear off of my body. She never asked before hand if I was comfortable with this and I was extremely nervous. The masseuse got ON TOP of the bed with me and straddled my naked body with her legs and i was very uncomfortable. I was never asked for a massage preference and it was very rough and unpleasant. When leaving a tip for the receipt the lady was very weird about me signing it. I attempted to pick the receipt up to look at it and she kept her hand pressed on it so she could watch me write the number for a tip. I tipped very well. Even though I've had shiatsu many times, this still seems kind of amazing: "how did he know what hurt without my telling him?" For those who have only had traditional massage, Shiatsu is different: I wear yoga clothes or light garments and the kneading, stretching, tapping, and soothing are done without oil. Ramon has a wonderful energy, that is friendly, relaxed, and peaceful. Even if I enter the studio wound-up or tense, once there, I immediately start to feel calmer and the brain static drops away.
