Dr. Kayla took x-rays of my spine and explained exactly what chiropractic care is. She went into detail as to why a properly aligned spine is so important for your overall health and wellness. During my second appointment, Dr. John showed me my x-rays and pointed out the subluxations I have in my spine. He also explained how each subluxation may be affecting me. Then he gave me the treatment plan they were going to take to resolve my issues. It was really cool to look at my x-rays and see where my pain was coming from. After my first adjustment, Dr. John gave me his personal cell phone number so I could call him if I had any questions or concerns. Later that night, I received a phone call from him asking if I was feeling okay after my adjustment. I never expected him to do that. The total cost was $7200.00 for treatment (out of pocket insurance does not cover any cost) and I had to decide on the spot, that day if I wanted the services or not. When asked if I could have time to think about it first, I was told no. I was promised that 6 months of therapy was like 7 years of psychiatric therapy. Out of desperation I elected to take the therapy offered. Over the next 3 months of weekly appointments, I was given over 25 different supplements; some I only took for two or three weeks. I laid on a table and had different little bottles placed on my chest. After 10 minutes, I was given a list of what supplements to take and then put on a machine that swayed me from side to side. Only four actual appointments addressed the different traumas I had experienced throughout my life, and I was asked to put my hands in weird positions, then asked to embrace the moment of trauma, not how to release it, feel better, stop obsessing over it or strategies to decrease my depression/PTSD. I put my trust in the doctor, and it was an absolute failure. I called the office and told them I was not coming in anymore, expressed my reasons why and was refunded $1900. I do not recommend this practice. It was a waste of time and money.

That is to pay your bill and to get prescription refills through. Oh wait.... Once you get into the portal they don't want you to use that one for bill pay. They want you to use a different one for bill pay. I still have not seen a physical bill only the amount owed. Looking around in the portal they have everything that you would expect to see, but they are not utilizing it at all. They don't share your after care summary in it. You can not message your provider in it. In other words for someone that needs to have things written down, and if you are like me that is going to have several questions after the fact with no way to express yourself to your provider besides sending snail mail and still not getting a response almost 2 weeks later. This facility is not helpful to people with mental health disabilities. Go elsewhere if you need the paper trail for yourself.

As far as we're concerned, she's an expert on her field. So when we moved out here, we were hoping we can find someone with almost the same mastery, skills and competence although we understand that individuals will have different personal experiences. Suffice it to say that we all have different experiences when it comes to receiving services from these professionals. However, I have been going to acupuncturist since I was young so I am well versed with it. I can tell if the acupuncturist is an experienced one and who knows what he or she is doing or not. So when I went to an acupuncturist located in Linglestown, I feel like I was a human pin cushion and looked like a poor copy of a porcupine. I can feel the needle pain because the way it is placed on is only skin deep as opposed to placing it into the pressure points. However, I'm always a forever optimistic so I gave the acupuncturist a couple more tries, 5 times to be exact because I paid for a plan which was 5 + 1 free. I decided to ditch the last session and looked for another provider. I found Dr. Lee and she's amazing. She expertly placed needles into the pressure point. I don't feel the needle pain and she knows exactly where the areas that are connected where pain is emanating from. After the session, I felt a slight relief from the pain. From experience, my shoulder pain will take a couple of sessions before the pain is managed and in my case, I was out of acupuncture therapy for more than a year so it's like going on a reset. So on my second session, my pain has gone down a little further. Her office clinic is pretty simple, clean and well organized. There are two rooms for therapy. The larger room can accommodate for individuals who use wheelchair or walkers. The session usually takes about 40 minutes to an hour. She takes in insurance but you need to check out what insurance providers are accepted. In your first visit, you pay for the initial assessment and an acupuncture treatment. Make sure you wear loose clothes so she can easily access pressure point areas that needed to be treated. She pays close attention to where you indicate the pain is and she would also make sure that areas connected to it are also covered. There is enough parking so you don't have to worry about fighting for a parking spot. I highly recommend Dr. Lee. She doesn't need to give away any promotional and marketing materials to indicate that she's pretty good in her chosen profession.
