We decided to scout for another chiropractor provider after a couple of sessions. We found Dr. Bob Blake. The place is almost nondescript on the outside and very simple on the inside. But don't be fooled. Dr. Bob has been practicing for 40 years and the thing I like most about it was that, he's one of the very few straightforward healers I've encountered in my lifetime. When he had first seen me, he said that he doesn't need to see me 3 or more times a week because anything more than 3 times a week means I probably need a surgeon. He was very candid. He didn't try to sell me his practice by making me come in a couple of times a week but rather he make sure that I come in for the therapy based on my progress. Now I come in regularly for maintenance and keeping my bones and ligaments in place. His clinic is always busy with patients walking in and out. There's plenty of parking space as well. His staff are very accommodating and pleasant. I noticed that most individuals have been coming to him for many years just for maintenance care. After the initial consultation,…read moreI returned to the office to review my options and see what the recommend treatment plan was. The total cost was $7200.00 for treatment (out of pocket insurance does not cover any cost) and I had to decide on the spot, that day if I wanted the services or not. When asked if I could have time to think about it first, I was told no. I was promised that 6 months of therapy was like 7 years of psychiatric therapy. Out of desperation I elected to take the therapy offered. Over the next 3 months of weekly appointments, I was given over 25 different supplements; some I only took for two or three weeks. I laid on a table and had different little bottles placed on my chest. After 10 minutes, I was given a list of what supplements to take and then put on a machine that swayed me from side to side. Only four actual appointments addressed the different traumas I had experienced throughout my life, and I was asked to put my hands in weird positions, then asked to embrace the moment of trauma, not how to release it, feel better, stop obsessing over it or strategies to decrease my depression/PTSD. I put my trust in the doctor, and it was an absolute failure. I called the office and told them I was not coming in anymore, expressed my reasons why and was refunded $1900. I do not recommend this practice. It was a waste of time and money.
