My root canal was scheduled at 4:15 am, Fri, July 13th. I was a bit apprehensive due to time of his appt. I was coming from the Western Suburbs. I was pleased that there was absolutely no traffic on I90 West. Dr Jet greeted me and was able to start upon my arrival 4am. Dr Jet was personable. Throughout the process, He explained my X-rays on the computer with before and after pictures & every step of what he was doing, including the after care with take home instructions. He also asked numerous times if I was ok and mentioned I was doing well during the procedure, which I felt fine. Overall I was so pleased with his work and will certainly return for my other root canals! I only had to take one Advil directly after procedure to anticipate the wearing off of the local. No stars!!! It made me pick one. Please, beware! This was the weirdest experience of my life and I've never experienced such pain. Please go with your gut when you get the strange feeling with all of their weird rules... No rescheduling, if you cancel you can never make an appointment again, cash payment only, pay before procedure, 6:00am appointment, if you are late he won't see you, cannot use the bathroom, nobody allowed with you. You get in and you feel like you are in a prison or something, receptionist behind glass, "license and referral!" "payment. " Dr. JET comes out and motions for you to come back. 1 dentist chair, no dental hygenist or anyone working with him. His demeanor was rushed, rude, and annoyed. Didn't talk, no compassion, like a robot. He treats root canals like the next person at a drive thru, in and out. I've never been treated so poorly. If I ever need a root canal again I will find another way, borrow money or I would gladly just get my tooth extracted before I ever went to him again. His website with the "real reviews" is a joke... Dr. Jet is very considerate, he explains everything he is doing and has great equipment which allows him to perform the most optimum quality work. I highly recommend Dr. Jet - I am pretty sure he only specializes in root canals but he might offer more services. imagine my delight when my dentist told me i would need my third root canal in two years (and another one looming - large pulp cavities combined with long term undiagnosed teeth grinding). my dentist referred me to dr. jet. though i trust my dentist, the idea was, admittedly, a little freaky. since the root canal wasn't an emergency, i waited as long as i could stand it to make an appointment. finally, seven months later, i woke up at 4:30 to make my 5:45am appointment. when i got here, no one else was here, just dr. jet. he looked younger than i had expected but seemed friendly enough. my biggest bummer with dentists and endo's is when they are not clear about alternatives or about describing procedures and giving information. dr. jet did not fail here! he explained that the case may be that i have a tiny crack in my tooth and that a root canal may not save it but it is my first choice towards pain management (mostly, i have - had - severe sensitivity to hot and cold). so i went along with the procedure, which, after two other root canals, one that required them to go back into the tooth two more times, im a serious pro at this. hot tip: DID YOU KNOW that most times, dentists use novocaine shots containing epinephrine? the hormone constricts your blood vessels and makes the numbing last longer. and epinephrine is what your body releases that causes you to go into fight or flight mode. that explains why lots of people get panicky at the dentist and why, when i was 25, i had a panic attack in my dentists office after getting a novocaine shot - the reason i did not see a dentist for 7 years. if someone would have told me that... when i understand that im reacting to a drug, im more able to control myself as opposed to believing that the reaction came purely from me. the novocaine with epinephrine is necessary for root canals since its a longer procedure, but for fillings, ask for a shot without epinephrine! i feel like this should be general knowledge, it would make people less afraid of the dentist. i think people hear stories about panic episodes and just get scared. after the appointment, i came home, took a handful of ibuprofen and took a nap with an ice pack. i knew this would be a doozy because he said there was a lot of infection in the tooth that did not show up on the xray and i could feel the procedure more than usual. i woke up in pain, but slept a bit more and now here i am, right as rain!! anyway, dr. jet was courteous, respectful, professional and most importantly - quick. there was no one else there, no receptionist, no assistant, which was a little unnerving but all went well so no complaints anymore. some receptionists showed up later, after my appointment. but i suspect this is one way he can keep costs down. my friends and i keep joking about this 'black market root canal operation' but thank god for people like dr. jet. as a student without dental insurance, he saved my tooth and saved me a lot of money and stress! now if only i could find $400 crowns - or better yet, free ;) read more

Yay! One root canal down and one more to go! I won't lie, I was v scared at first when I had my appt with Dr. Jet at 2 AM but I have to say... he is the best root canal dentist I have ever met! All the Yelp reviews I have read are 100% true! He's so nice and thoroughly explains everything that he's doing instead of just leaving you in the dark during the root canal procedure. I can't thank Dr. Jet enough. I have several root canls that need to be done. Of those we finished two of them today. Pricing is very affordable and then when you match that up with his 15 years experience you really can't get better than that. The only procedure Dr. Jet does is root canals so you can imagine he knows what he doing. Before and during the procedure he explains every step of the procedure and why hes doing what he is. Yes there was pain but that comes with any root canal and it was very minimal i honestly could have fallen asleep in the chair.
