You've been warned.. do not waste your time with this company!!! We had thought going through Costco would always be the best choice, but reading many reviews (and the owner's reply to some of the reviews, wow..) I whole heartedly believe Costco really made a huge mistake choosing this vendor to work with. Out of all the blinds companies that we've contacted, they are by far the most unprofessional. When I made my first initial call to Costco, JCB was supposed to call me to set up an appointment within two days, of course they didn't call. I called again in a week, that was when they put my case on a high urgency list and assured me they should call in a day or two. Of course, no call again. This happened one more time, and I talked to a supervisor at Costco another week later, and Costco being Costco, they were very nice and helpful, so I decided to give them one more chance. What really pushed me over the edge was Costco called me a few days later, telling me that they were told that JCB has reached out to me and had already set an appointment with me, which was a BLATANT LIE. I had NO calls, NO voicemails, and certainly NO conversations/interactions whatsoever with this company. Seriously, how professional do you think this company could be if they could just make up lies like this? It IS obvious that Costco customers don't get priority, but if you're too busy, then SAY you're too busy so we can all move on with our lives. If you can't take on this many customers, then end your partnership with Costco! I really wanted to use Costco for my blinds, so I had to hold off on getting my blinds done waiting for their non-existent calls. What a waste of everyone's time! But you know what, I was glad it turned out the way it did, I would rather waste a month of my time than to waste thousands of dollars on this unprofessional company. So it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. UPDATE - In reply to the owner - April 4th 2018 Rich V, That's funny, I find YOUR reply very uncalled for. Where you "are" right now, is a lot of unhappy Costco customers leaving you bad reviews on yelp, and I can clearly see why. I'm glad you have so much faith in your company and your employees, that you think all of the problems lie in your customers. It really says so much about you. FYI, I called Costco on December 21, I called again on December 28 that put me on the "High priority list" AND again on Jan 2nd with Laurel at Costco, who left a message for me that your company had contacted me and had scheduled a consultation. I told them that it never happened, and it wasn't until Jan 8th, I got a phone call from your company wanting to set up an appointment. You are right, there was never an appointment with you, because it took you three weeks to call back, NOT the so called 48 hours. So you tell me, if what happened before January 8th wasn't a lie then what is? In regards to you looking through my other reviews, it's interesting how you feel the need to point out that I left perfect reviews for another blinds company the next day, same with furniture stores. It's true I don't leave reviews RIGHT AFTER I make a call or a purchase, does that make my reviews any less truthful though? The other blinds company is 1000 times more professional than your company in my experience and opinion, and yes, it was left the next day I posted your review, but I honestly don't see what the/your problem is? I set up a consultation and quote through Costco after receiving a recommendation to get honeycomb blinds through the free Puget Sound Energy home consultation. Kay called on her way to let us know she was running late, which was so appreciated! Many would have just shown up near the "window" in which we quoted. She brought several samples in a variety of styles and worked with our budget. We ended up ordering the blackout honeycomb style for an oversize window in the living room and for two windows on either side of our fireplace. We were told 6 to 8 weeks for the order. Our order came in early after just 3 weeks. We were given a time frame of 8am-10am for the installer to show up. Vladimir called on his way to our house, about 9:20am, to let us know he was running late and would be at our place in 30 to 60 minutes. He was incredibly professional and courteous, and had them installed in less than 30 minutes. I received an email that same day from Costco with a copy of my work order and to inform me my 10% back Costco cash card would be in the mail. If I could give a zero star, I would. We had a horrible experience with them. It took 7 months to get the blinds installed. The person (designer) that took the order in April 2018 completely messed up the order, screwed us with incorrect information, refused to provide the special offer from costco for April due to her mess up. The company wanted to us to pay extra to fix their mistake. They didnt even have the correct measurements for the messed up order and had to go back n forth to get it right. Now we finally got the blinds installed in November 2018, just 3 days ago and it is already broken, fell-off the window. I rue the day we went to costco and singed up for their service. We spent so much money on getting these blinds which are worth nothing, we could have thrown the cash in the drain for whats it was worth. read more

Lindsey was my point person. I indicated that I prefer to communicate via email and she would make certain the appropriate party would get my messages, which were always responded to promptly. Brian was the designer. We truly appreciated that he had an opinion (when solicited). Happy to say with his help, the blinds look amazing. Exactly what we were hoping for. Carl was the installer. He was able to accommodate my schedule. The installation was quick, and our living space was left very clean when he finished up. If I have to give a piece of negative: the homeowner is expected to have the previous blinds and brackets removed before installation. Not sure if this is standard, but i hope they provide this service for the little old ladies. :) read more

Ordered blinds through Costco. Bad experience. Their designer Cindee was not a nice person to work with. After she showed up at my house and did the measurements, I wasn't able to get hold of her again. I emailed, texted, called and left vm for her and she never got back to me. I called their office and explained to them I need to order blinds, they told me they will help me contact Cindee. But still nothing afterwards. I had to call Costco cs and get them to call the office to help me find Cindee. Anyway, bad experience. After the blinds were ordered, it took about two months for their installer to call you to set up installation. The first installation didn't go well. A few blinds' cords direction( left vs right) was wrong from what we originally discussed. And a few scratches on the side panel. The side panels on most of the windows flip up when I roll up the blinds too. I called them about it and waited another one month for them to come back to fix. * We bought two skylight blinds on October 21, 2016, from Jet City Blinds through Costco. * In less than a year (August, 2017) one blind failed to work, using the remote. * Contacted the company; Kelly said, "Probably the batteries." We questioned her on the number of batteries and the cost of installation. She said she would get back to us. It seemed a sales consultant should have known this information. * Time lapsed, and we were informed, "The blinds each use 8 lithium batteries; to install, the cost is $400.00 with scaffolding or $200.00 without." We told her we didn't need scaffolding because the initial installation was done without using a scaffolding, as they should have known. * We received an email to send photos of the skylight. Our first set of photos was deemed inadequate because they had wanted them from floor level, which we did immediately. * We didn't hear back from Jet City or Kelly for a number of weeks. We contacted Costco and our problem was referred to their corporate office. * Susan, from the corporate office, got Michelle to call us along with an installer, within a couple days. * When the installer checked he found there were 8 Alkaline batteries and they were corroded. He specifically said, "The batteries should be lithium." To get this unit down, the installer had the right kind of long, narrow ladder to reach the skylight. * Days later, another installer came with lithium batteries, but noticed the blind needed restringing. He would have to take it back to the company for restringing. This installer didn't have the correct width or length of ladder to complete the job. * On December 14, 2017, we received an email from Michelle regarding the paper work. Also, she mentioned that the blinds do take alkaline batteries, and she would make sure the installer knows this information. * Approximately January 18, 2018, we called Susan at Costco and told her we wouldn't accept the blinds if they had alkaline batteries. That was the initial problem: no lithium batteries. * January 24, 2018, we finally got a call from an installer. He came on that day, made sure there were lithium batteries and he had the narrow, long ladder to complete the installation. * In our opinion, Michelle lacks customer service and know-how. And the time period was unreasonable for the order's completion. From the start of the problem, to satisfactory completion, five months passed - far too long. I signed up for a home consultation at Costco......did not hear from anyone for almost a week, so I called Costco.....almost another week went by and I finally got a phone call message and then we connected and set an appointment. I was a little disappointed as the appointment was about 10 days out, however after confirming the date, day and time we did set it. The appointment day came, about 20 min past the agreed time I called and , funny they said "Oh No, we had you down for a week later", I double checked my calendar and it was for today, and I told the young lady I specifically repeated the day, date and time.....She didn't seem to upset by the problem and I figured they really didn't want my business, maybe because it was a Costco Lead they put those leads on the bottom of the heap?. I felt it shouldn't take a month to get someone to come out and at least make an effort to show you really care. Once they get your money watch out! It took several weeks to get a measurement and another month and a half to get them installed (after nagging) Now I'm waiting for a final fix and can't get a return phone call. It's like someone is running this business when it's convenient for them. Costco should be ashamed of doing business with this company...terrible customer service. read more

I requested information on repairing my Hunter Douglas blinds. The owner was very responsive and replied to my request within the next hour. Although they do not do these types of repairs, the owner suggested a reputable repair company in Bellevue. In future, if I needed blind installment, I would try Jet City Blinds out. read more

We loved working with Jet City Blinds! We purchased blinds for our entire house and outdoor blinds for our deck. I was a little hesitant since some reviewers a ways back had issues, but since Costco stands behind their products and expect their vendors to do the same I decided to use them. From the ease of making an appointment to the installation, we were very pleased. I had a couple blinds out of the many we ordered that had some issues and Jet City did a phenomenal job replacing them quickly without any hassle at all. (And, I was really picky about one blind probably over the top, and without any hesitation they replaced that one twice.) We loved working with Brian (our salesman) who obviously had the experience and level of customer service to get the job done.
