Having operated under a few different names over the years, the current Co Op Taxi service draws on a wide network of drivers who are usually within 5 /10 minutes of a pick up destination. Outside of regulated fare costs there are no additional fees for this service -although you may feel obliged to tack on a Thank You for the polite (even charming) manner of the drivers ferrying you about town. The phone-in booking system is a breeze, with hold times greatly reduced now that the service is fully up and running. Within two minutes callers should be able to book their car -frequent users can cut that back even more by registering their phone number with the company. Currently, the only drawback is the missing / broken website which will allow online bookings once all is repaired.

Aircoach - The return trip on air coach 703 from Dun Laoghaire to Dublin airport was equally comfortable and rewarding.

Superb and affordable way to go from Dublin airport to the city or suburbs…read more We took the 703 air coach to Dun Laoghaire, where we had booked a B&B. We got to the airport bus terminal 7 mins before it was scheduled to leave, but the ticketing and boarding was so seamless we were seated with 2 minutes to spare! Round trip cost was 17€ per adult and 9€ per kid, whereas a taxi would have cost us over 100€ each way. The seats were comfortable and while the bathroom was not operational, we were fortunately not in dire need of relieving ourselves! The driver was gracious and let us know where to disembark. The hour- long journey to Dun Laoghaire flew by, and the return trip a few days later was equally rewarding and comfortable. Air coach is the way to go!

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a serious incident that occurred today with one…read moreof your drivers. My group had three valid paid tickets for a specific scheduled service, as stated on the ticket terms (valid only for the booked time). We boarded the bus, sat down, and were fully settled when the driver abruptly instructed all three of us to get off the vehicle. At no point did he ask whether we were able to take the next bus. He simply told us to leave. He explained that a pregnant woman--who did not have a ticket--should have priority. While we fully respect and understand support for pregnant passengers, removing paying passengers with valid reservations to make space for someone without a ticket is unacceptable and directly contradicts Aircoach policy. After we were removed, the driver then stated that we could "try the next bus", despite our tickets clearly indicating that they are valid only for the booked time, and even noted that the next service might be full as well. This left us effectively stranded. As a result, we had no option but to take a taxi to the airport. We paid in cash, so we do not have a receipt, but this was an expense we should never have had to incur. This incident caused financial loss, unnecessary stress, and represented a serious failure in customer service and adherence to Aircoach procedure. Passengers with valid tickets should never be removed to accommodate someone without a ticket. I am requesting: 1. A full refund for all three Aircoach tickets 2. Confirmation that this incident will be formally investigated, as the driver's behaviour was improper, unprofessional, and against Aircoach policy 3. Guidance on how to proceed in cases where passengers are removed despite holding valid reservations I look forward to your prompt response and resolution. Kind regards,

We started in Dublin made our way to Waterford, Cork, Limerick to Galway and back to Dublin. The Butler's bus was comfortable, spacious, and provided ample seating for everyone to spread out. Our drivers name was Peadar Homan, and he was an absolute delight. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the history of Ireland, the people, the culture, and it's architecture. He was very professional, punctual, willing to work with our special requests, and provided recommendations for the group. Often times going out of his way to help make our trip seamless and enjoyable. Our family tour of Southern Ireland was amazing and memorable. The family is in agreement that Peadar definitely added to the overall experience. Would highly recommend using Butler's tours for your travel needs and if possible requesting Peadar Homan as your driver.

The company claims to be cruise friendly…read more I notified them a day in advance that our cruise was in a storm and we would not be arriving within a reasonable time of the tour. The company refused to cancel the tour, citing their cruise policy only applies if the cruise does not disembark at all. With their refusal to cancel and no reduced fee for the tour, despite the fact it was a 3 hour tour instead of the day trip planned, going to none of the stops that were on the itinerary, I can confidently state this is not a cruise friendly company, nor a customer oriented one. Although it isn't the guides fault (or ours), our guide took us to a little town where virtually everything is closed. A reputable tour company does not do this. Everyone knows that a good tour company is one that understands a win-win is possible in these circumstances (more than one win-win option available in these circumstances), but greed took over for Butlers. Highly avoid!

Customer service was no help and the company clearly make profit off hidden charges and catching customers out. Much better off using one of the many private bike hires available round Dublin.
