The best I could do from the boat lol
    Jackie F.

Every year my work rents a boat and 10 to 15 of us with clients go out on the chain of lakes for 7 hours and have a great time. The ladies behind the counter were kind and informative. The kids that unhook the boat and send us off were kind. Our boat was pretty old but everything but the radio seemed to work fine. Wish i lived closed, its so nice on the water.

When I asked about the sign she said so everyone is aware that it's most likely to have some damage on the prop.

Please don't waste your money on this place. Made reservations for the Deck Boat and that wasn't available. Upon check in the lady was rude wanted my kids to wait outside. They little ones wanted ice cream but With that attitude I refuse to waste my money there. They have signs all over the place about how it is likely to occur damage. We went over our time because the boat wasn't ready. They claimed we used 7 gallons of gas for the 1.5 hours we had it for. The gas prices are outraged and there is nothing you can do about it. Won't be going back there again. It's overbooked, unorganized and not customer friendly at all. They encouraged to wear mask but not one employee had one on. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR ENERGY ON THIS PLACE!!!! If I could've giving a zero rating I would have.

Worst place to rent boats and jet skis. Make sure you agree on ALL the terms with the owner beforehand. Came here today and rented 2 boats and 2 tubes along with them. While we were on the water one of the tubes' handles (there were 4) got ripped off and our friend hit his head because of it. He said he was okay so we didn't go back. When our time was over, we came back to the shore so they could review if there was any damage. They found the boat prop was damaged, though we NEVER hit it. I believe it could've happened when we were in shallow water but still, people who rent their boats are not aware of how deep or shallow the lake is. Also, they already have a warning on their reception desk that due to water condition the "damage is likely to occur". They charged us $200 for the prop and wanted to charge additional $50 for the handle. If you read the rest of bad reviews, you'll see the SAME issue has happened to those people. Doesn't look like a coincidence to me. I'm extremely upset with the attitude we faced here, the owner was completely ignorant. Please consider other places to rent boats.

Unsafe equipment. We where charged for damages which were caused not by our fault, unfriendly staff.

We (14 people) rented a pontoon for 4 hours and we all agreed it was the best day of the summer by far!

I originally meant to book online, as the portal was easy and straightforward, but we weren't sure the time that worked best for us until the day arrived. So instead, we were able to walk right up to the stand and get booked in. I should preface that this was a Wednesday afternoon, so it wasn't busy. I'd imagine on weekends and in the height of summer you'd want to book/reserve in advance. My dad, a long-time boat owner, took on driving responsibilities. He was given all of the instructions and boat details during a 10-15 min intro from one of the boat workers, who are all teenagers I might add. And I don't mean that in a bad way - they were all super friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. We took our the 'Select Tritoon' boat which was very spacious. I believe it could fit up to 10 people, and we had 8 (2 being small kiddos), so we had plenty of room. It even had high-top, bar-like seating in the middle section which was cool. I'll note as well that the kids are or course required to wear life vests, which were provided to us. They offered a few different sized until we could find the right fit. My only feedback is that I think $500 for 2 hours is steep. Maybe it's because of the area? In Milwaukee, we've rented pontoons for half the price, but double the time. All in all, still a great experience. Definitely rec for visitors.

Let me tell you about my 4th of July Adventure....... My plans were to hang out and eat BBQ with a friend, but she wasn't feeling too well and had to cancel our plans. After making sure she was ok, I was on the verge of catching up on a series on MAX. Then it hit me, "It's a BEAUTIFUL holiday, and you are about to watch tv? What are you doing? You said you wanted to go jet skiing before the summer is over. What are you waiting for? Let's Do It!" I called Chicago Water Sport Rentals on 31st and spoke with the owner who assured me that the day was perfect and the water was fine, code for: "No Danger Here". After an exchange of "God Bless You", I hung up the phone, quickly put sunscreen on, gathered my wetsuit and sunglasses and headed out the door toward the lake. When I got to the harbor and my jet ski rental destination, that's where the magic happened. After a thorough tutorial about how to properly use and have fun on the jet ski that I was sitting on, off I went to the high seas, I mean out toward open waters with the rest of the water sports lovers. Once I got past the channel filled with boat lovers, sailers, and jet ski pros, I played around in open-calm waters while the sun and the city were beaming down on me. The views are absolutely spectacular and the experience was exhilarating! I was on that thing for an hour. Yes, an hour. Last time it was 30 minutes. This time I wanted to challenge myself. Once I got into my groove, there was NO STOPPING ME, until my time was up. ‍ Lol. I highly recommend you try something new this weekend. If you have been jet skiing before, try a new venue off the 31st Street Harbor. Then treat yourself to lunch at the restaurant directly next door. This experience will make you feel ALIVE!

We had a lot of fun paddling in the harbor and checking out all the boats docked there. There was quite a bit of boat traffic this Sunday afternoon so we rolled with the waves as boats come in and out. Some might find that unpleasant but we thought it was a good opportunity to get a taste of what kayaking on the lake could be like. Kayaks and paddle boards stay within the harbor, which is about 9 miles of boat docks. It's quite an different experience from other kayaking locations; it's manmade and urban and the only wildlife is seagulls. There is a parking lot though its $28 for 0-12hrs during the weekends. We chose to park on the other side of the trail and walked to this location. It's a beautiful walk! The best amenity is the private bathroom with shower. We usually don't get wet with kayak but since this is the lake, we were drenched. Highly recommend wearing swimsuit for any water activities. We'll be back to try the jet skis.
