Really not a good experience. I immediately walked in and sat down in the lounge area to relax. Maybe 5 or 10 minutes passed and the bartender (did not get her name but she was short, brunette and spoke with a Russian or European accent) came up to me and immediately got confrontational. Keep in mind that up to this point I had not spoken to anybody and was merely taking everything in. She told me that I was required to buy 1 drink. I told her I knew that but was waiting until later on. She told me that she had been watching me sit there for 15 minutes (it had not been that long) and that she was making up a rule that said I was not allowed to relax for more than a couple minutes without buying a drink. I was turned off by her attitude toward me, talking to me as if I was dishonest, but I nonetheless complied and bought a 6 dollar water. After this I walked over to the bar where a girl named Diana was seated. We got to chatting and when I asked her if she could give me a dance she for some reason turned condescending and said something to the extent of "I thought you were just going to stare at me all night". This was not a playful comment but was meant to embarrass me which turned me off. However I stuck with her out of good nature. The next red flag from Diana came when I told her I wanted a private, topless dance. Her response was that she does not give out dances if they are not nude (even though she had offered both) and she straight up walked away from me. Bear in mind that we had been chatting for several minutes and we had already formed a connection (albeit not a great one). After she realized she had just dissed me she decided to come back and give me the dance that I had requested. Once in our private room she told me that I could touch her. Right when I did she slapped me (not hard but still) and said that if I did that again she would scream for security to come in. I was blown away by how unprofessional and borderline insane this girl was being and in hindsight think I only picked her because it was a busy night and all the other girls were taken. I did not buy a second dance with Diana and did not tip her. Once in line to pay (not a fan of this policy as I would be much more comfortable paying upfront or simply just paying the girls)I saw a blonde girl and told her that I would like to reserve a dance when she is free. Diana was still around and in a very overt way said that her dance with me was the worst one she had ever given. It was not said with integrity but rather with disrespect. Conveniently located in Lennox, not far from LAX, this "diamond in the rough" completely challenges one's expectations of what a Strip Club ought to be. It's easy to read reviews of disgruntled customers and develop a picture of this place that is frankly bleak however the truth behind those people's experiences reveals an establishment that defies a host of stereotypes about Strip Clubs. Firstly the ambiance is cozy. The stage is well lit, large and easily view-able from every location inside the club. It has multiple poles and levels, allowing for a wide range of dancing styles and activities by the performers and this leads to the first area where the Jet Strip stands out above every other strip club, its diversity. There are dancers of all ages, races, body types, and backgrounds and they are all gorgeous. No matter what your personal aesthetic maybe, there is likely a dancer there that fits that profile. Unlike most clubs in Los Angeles, there is no policy baring tattoos; so there is also a wide range of body art varying from the cute and subtle to the elaborately beautiful. There is enough eye candy to give you cavities, but that isn't the thing that keeps me coming back. More than anything else what I've found since I have frequented the Jet Strip is that the women who work there are all truly interesting and intelligent people whose personalities are as diverse as their physical attributes. Some dance on a professionally competitive level, while some simply express natural sensuality in a truly irresistible manner and all are really friendly and willing to talk. This is especially true during the off hours and slow nights when the club is less busy and they can pay more attention to individual customers. Hands down, this friendly open atmosphere is the best thing about the Jet Strip. That atmosphere is able to exist because the support staff works so hard to provide a safe and respectful environment for the dancers. Perhaps it is that commitment to a respectful work environment that has caused some to post reviews critical of the staff. In response, I only have this to say: People from every race and walk of life come and are treated well. Everyone is accepted, so long as they follow a few basic, posted, and common sense rules, most of which are posted to the left of the door, visible as soon as you walk in the club. People who don't follow those basic guidelines of decency ruin this wonderful place for everyone else and if they have a problem with the respectful and efficient manner in which they are dealt with, it is their problem alone and not a problem with the Jet Strip. In summation, some of you might be like "this review is fake for sure y'all" Well it isn't. It's the truth. I've been going for a longtime and I really love this place. I've met some of my favorite people there and for sure none of them deserve the tacky butt hurt mess I was just reading on yelp. So if you're looking for a good time, have some money to spend, and know how to act, please come on down to the Jet Strip. So, my female friend and I decided to pop in on a Friday night around 9:30pm. We figured, it's Friday...should be poppin'...NOT SO MUCH! $12 cover after 6pm 1 drink minimum (a soda was $5.75) It's a small place...I understand why they call it Jet Strip: The "stage" is about the size of a squashed Honda accord with two poles about 10 ft high at either end of the squashedness... The poles were so close to the edge (due to lack of space) I thought that the poor guys were gonna get kicked in the head with cheap lucite heels... The mess of a main stage is connected to a 5 ft "runway" leading to (if you can imagine) and even smaller crib-sized area with a pole. The guys there were your typical 30-50 year old nerds, truckers, and trench coat mafia looking loners... The girls weren't so bad...They had 10 or more...mostly white, one or two latina, one black.... I felt that they didn't utilize the pole as much as they could have :/ They do one song in bra/panties, one nude. The music was pretty good...I remember hearing Tool :) and various top 40s rap. The girls come around asking if you want lap dances every 4th dancer I'd say...The lap dances range $20-$30...You get one song plus a little more if you act quickly. There is a smoking area (a 5X7 rectangle with 4 plastic chairs) but I suppose it gets the job done. 4/26/2009 Jet Strip's slogan is, "LA's Friendliest Gentlemen's Club", and as silly as this may sound, that actually goes a long way. Here's the thing on Jet Strip: it's small, and usually only has three truly hot girls max, and recently, two of their hottest bailed. So I'm not going to lie to you about that. A lot of their girls are overweight (could be gorgeous if they hit the gym), old, or otherwise much less than a centerfold. But Jet Strip has a couple of things going for it that makes it one of my favorite spots, and definitely a nice little hang out. First of all, Jet Strip is really well lit. Unlike many other strip clubs, where they can get away with sub-standard girls because you can't see them very well, Jet Strip is bright and thus every girl, flaws and all, is visible. Rare in the strip club game, which is usually trying really hard to hide everything - Jet Strip doesn't. Jet Strip also has gourmet chefs, so if you do end up buying food, it's actually pretty good. Jet Strip's songs are much longer than the ones at, say, Bare Elegance up the street, so you really get a show everytime a girl performs. I don't buy lap dances, but theirs I think are a bit cheaper than other clubs, which offsets the flaws in their girls. And most of all, the best thing about Jet Strip is how nice their girls are. They'll chat with you whether you buy a dance or not in most cases, they won't bug you if they know you don't buy dances, and if you sit in front of the stage, they'll give you plenty of attention whether you tip them or not, and will give attention to every guy who sits there, not favor the ones that are tipping more or anything like that. I've honestly given more money in tips to Jet Strip girls than they would make in dances from me because I like them so much. Even the ones I'm not physically attracted to are nonetheless cool, personality wise, and I always tip them regardless. Again, the big difference between Jet Strip and every other club I've been to is that it's chill enough to just be a hang out. You go there, watch some TV, hang out, chat with girls - it's like the "Cheers" of strip joints. Again, if you're into really super hot girls, Jet S\trip may leave you somewhat disappointed. Just got back from this place. Everything was going great until my last session (I had already spent $400 in 2 hours). They incorrectly charged me for an extra dance. My wife and I have visited Jet Strip a couple of times, when we've either been staying at the airport or attending an event nearby. We attended on Saturday night after going to a boxing event at the Forum. It was very busy with both patrons and a large selection of girls. The girls are all decent looking, a mix of bodies and ethnicities and sociable, without being pushy. The dancers also select their own music, which meant there was a great selection, from 21 Savage to Joy Division (which I appreciated). During the evening, there was a group of around 6 enter and sit at the end of the stage, right next to us; it was 2/3 girls and 3 younger boys. One of the lads had a little more than he could handle to drink and started being obnoxious to the very friendly waitress (who also dances, but doesn't strip - she should, she was making more than most of the girls without taking her clothes off - anyway, i digress) The manager came over and told him to calm down a little, at which point the young lad became a little volatile. The manager and doorman dealt with the issue promptly and professionally, to ensure there wasn't much disruption to other customers. After he had been thrown out, the manager comp'd us a couple of RedBulls (which we were drinking at the time) and made sure we were ok, and apologised. It really wasn't necessary as we were completely unphased (I just switched seats with my wife during the hoopla) but we appreciated the extra attention/consideration and professionalism. Nothing fancy, nothing that is anything beyond good looking, friendly women, a decent environment, and chill attitude. Just a nice, friendly place to hang out and look at some of the best looking entertainers out there.
