I'd like to shout out Dave at the company. A couple months back I experienced a stressful few days dealing with car trouble. I called Jets Towing at 9:26am on a Friday to request a tow due to a non-start and soon enough, received a follow-up at 10:00am on the dot as the driver arrived to my location across town. Note that Dave was quick, pleasant and most importantly, efficient. I was pleased with the service as well as company pricing since I paid out-of-pocket. This isn't my first experience with Jets, being a former GEICO customer, but I wanted to mention the exceptional service that I recently received. Thank you, Dave and JETS for turning around my day. Disclaimer: I did not call Jets and will not be calling them for my own personal use. UNPROFESSIONAL AND SEXIST. Please read the other reviews. They say the same. On 1/24/2020, ConEd called Jets to tow my car from an area that needed emergency access. What made matters worse from a poorly structured process on ConEd's end, is that Jets ripped the bottom shield of my vehicle. I lost a whole work day trying to chase down a solution. Luckily, ConEd was able to reimburse me for the damages. However, despite going back and forth with Jets, sending pictures, making several phone calls, and even having one of their drivers come out and temporarily zip tie the shield for me to drive to the auto shop (the driver who came was awesome. I think his name is Josh but he was great. He gets 5 stars but his employer does not), I was still very disappointed in what came next. The gentleman (whose name I can't remember) who manages dispatch, attempted to "help" me while making ridiculous, misogynistic comments. Not only did he continue to assume my lack of knowledge of cars because of my gender, he also proceeded to tell me not to "freak out like a typical woman if the shield comes undone." Dbags will be dbags. Keep in mind, I was not irate and did not approach him unkindly. My only "fault" was having the voice of a female. I maintained patience hoping that I won't ever have to deal with Jets again. Well here we are again on 6/25/2020. Yet another emergency service being performed by ConEd that prompted another tow. Only this time, they didn't just crack the engine cover shield AGAIN but they dropped my car against and almost on top of a very jagged curb, deeply scratching my rim. So rather than the feasible 50% chance of damaging my car, Jets has a 100% damage rate. Twice you tow my car. Twice you cause damage. This is not a streak of bad luck. It's poor quality control from the field and management. I understand now that Jets is simply sexist, unprofessional, and really don't care about the quality of their performance. My car was spun out by belt parkway near kings plaza. Because nypd responded I was forced to use the towing company that nypd called. I find that very not helpful. Who makes these rules it was on a local street not a highway or bridge or tunnel. I was not able to use my own tow company. This I was out of $125. Initially I was advised that it would be towed to their yard where I would be charged an additional day storage. A day is 24 hours. Since it was 12 midnight and they opened at 9 a m that would mean I would be paying storage fees for 9 hours. I advised them that I needed it towed to my mechanics shop. The dispatcher advised that their credit card machine was down. I did not have cash on me who does this day in age. I was very upset since my mechanic was already at the scene and advised it was okay to tow my vehicle to his shop. I called The dispatcher back and advised him. He then stated that he would call the driver and advise him to take it to my mechanic provided that I meet them. There's another perk to this. I advised them that I was a retired officer and courtesy was given fully. This information however was not given until after they had agreed to tow my vehicle to the shop of my choice. I called them today and thanked them for their courteous customer service. What I did not like was the supervisor that they sent to meet me at my mechanics shop. He attempted to belittle me stating that I'm not an officer. I beg your pardon sir but once an officer always an officer. We have training that other civilians do not have. I spent 35 years protecting the community and I will not let anyone take that from me. He stated that his brother is an active officer and if I had known that the rules changed if I did not own the vehicle he could tow it to where it was supposed to go originally. He was not nice. However the customer prevailed in this one. I called the company this morning and spoke to Joseph and voiced my complaint about their field supervisor. He may meed to be demoted. read more

Geico sent over Jets when my car's ignition switch died - car wouldn't start, couldn't even shift to neutral. I was emergency-parked nearer a fire hydrant than preferred on a narrow one-way street along a bus route (so stressful!) and Mikey worked MAGIC with his flatbed to get my car safely to the shop. Crooks. I was stranded for 3 hours 5 blocks from home because Geico kept sending towing companies that either wanted to tow my car to a body shop of their choice, not mine. But Jet's Towing was the worst!. The dispatcher is a nasty dude that uses curse words with customers if he is questioned on their terms of service. First this guy demanded that I join the driver for a drop off 38 miles away because it was "their company policy and they don't give a fuck about Geico's". Second they tried to charge me $180 for a 18 miles towing distance add-on when Geico said I was going to be charged $5 per mile, so $90. And when I asked why they were charging double the dispatcher told the driver to "load off the fucking car (my car) that was already in the truck, after a 2-hour wait". I filed a complain with the Best Business Bureau and with Geico and I hope this dispatcher gets the boot. read more

The flatbed driver named I believe Eugene was very polite,very helpful & professional. I have a Acura TL & my car is very low. He used woods so my front bumper wouldn't scrape (my front lip was already damaged so it wasnt him lol) and was very careful when hooking my car to the flatbed. I have no complains at all. Horrible service . We hit a deer on hwy1 right after prawda. The guy towed us to there compound and didn't inform us that we had to pay 300$ for the tow after CAA transfered us to them ?? (We are from Ontario) Manitoba doesn't deal with CAA accidentS apparently. So we didn't have the cash so the guy made us walk to prawda from his compound and by this time it's 12AM ,FREEZING cold windy as fuck and we waited 3 hours for a friend to pick us up . Didn't offer a warm place to wait , considering a deer just committed suicide on our car , we are miles away from home and it was freezing out . I contacted GEICO for a tow and this is who was contracted to help. I called the company to ask what their overage mileage rate would be, to ensure I had enough cash on hand to pay. The dispatch was really rude & wasn't trying to help me. I thanked him for his "help" and hung up the phone. Extremely Unprofessional. They will move or tow your car and not report it to the police. I had to file a stolen car report and waste 2 days because they failed to report that they moved my car. My car was legally parked on a side street on Sunday night. No signs were posted on that day of any street work but apparently street work/construction was done on Tuesday and Wednesday, the signs must have been posted after Sunday (probably they morning of Tuesday). They moved my legally parked car, did not file it with the local precinct, and did not even have the courtesy to leave the signs posted after Sunday so I can have a contact number. I was lucky that a neighbor was kind enough to literally dig through a trash can a pull out a rip piece of yellow paper. The paper only had the letters Je- left on it and I had to guess which company moved my legally parked car just on those two letters. Please note that I have lived in this neighborhood for over 5 years. It is mostly houses with no alternative parking rules. People are allowed and routinely leave there cars parks for days at a time. This towing company was not even from the borough I live in. Even if called every towing company in my borough I would have never found the right one without that ripped up piece of paper in the trash. It seems from the other reviews that they do a good job at taking cars. However, just consider what if your car was towed/moved and the towing company never filed it with the police. Imagine spending hours of your life dealing with uninterested police filing reports. Imagine spending hours talking to your insurance company.Imagine thinking that someone stole your car. Imagine losing days from work. Imagine having to do that twice after finding your towed/moved car. Now imagine that your car was LEGALLY PARK, NO SIGNS WERE POSTED until the day of or just prior to that and THEY REMOVED THE SIGNS after the work was done leaving to trace if which company was involved. Since they took my legally parked car and did not reported to the police, this has to be theft. They stole car and I wish the police would gone and arrested them but sadly they did not. Be a kind hearted person and use a towing company that files the towed/moved car to the police like they are supposed to do. They moved my car from a legal spot to a spot where it then got towed. They were so rude on the phone about it that I had to go to the cops to get them to agree to pay for my tow fee. In arranging to pick up the check (because they refused to mail it), they made sexist comments and were generally rude. My hybrid Prius had no electric power. It was also parallel parked in a very tight spot, on a Brooklyn side street. Jets showed up right on time and went to work. Like a magician, with chains, hooks, and hydraulic power....he went to work. 15 minutes later the car was on its way to the service station. I asked him if patience was the key. He said it was, and having no plan. Stay loose. Getting the car off the tower wasn't easy either...but creatively he did it. I told him that he was very good at what he does. Horrible, a nightmare. Geico sent these "savages" to assist me. The insurance agent provided this company with a wrong address (they were a block away from where I was parked. The Jet towing agent called me complaining that I had giving them the wrong address. I tried telling him that they insurance provided them with my location. To which he said" bitch if you don't know where you are, don't call for help". I obviously was in awe, I asked him "excuse me?".He replied: I don't take attitude from no body" and simply hang up. I called back this place and whoever answered the phone just said: I don't know anything about that. I understand that people can be having a bad day or be under stress, but this behavior is completely unacceptable. When calling back I was told by a rude young lady(I believe adriana)and a gentleman that stated "we can not help you , we moved it and if it not there call 911" first let me say IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! You guys had no sign up due to the fact that I pay attention to the signs for one ! For two you lied when saying you picked my car up from a street that I never park on! On Friday, May 26th, Geico Roadside Assistance dispatched Jets Towing to jumpstart my car battery. Within 5 minutes, I received a confirmation phone call from Jets, saying that they would arrive within 35 minutes. True to their word, the most pleasant and professional man arrived approximately 20 minutes later and jump started my battery. I could not have been more pleased with Jets Towing. From the confirmation phone call to their timely arrival to the friendly and reassuring demeanor of the tow truck driver. They were professional. I met the tow driver at the facility where my car was towed due to an accident. The tow driver Daniel V. was great. He made sure all was in order before I left the facility. I had the car towed to my home and driveway. The area was fenced in an very small. Daniel drove the car in and had to exit the car via the driver window. He was pleasant and did an outstanding job. A car was illegally parked in front of my driveway and of course you have to call 311 and get it ticketed. It took literally 8 hours for NYPD to respond - of course we expect nothing less, God forbid I needed to go anywhere. You can always count on NYPD to be here in 8 hours of less but it's going to be 8 hours. Anyway, I'm going straight down the list of towing companies in my area and no one picked it. It was 6am on a Monday morning. I did feel bad for calling Jets given that it wasn't that close to my neighborhood. As soon as I called, they picked up the phone, was professional and courteous. They said they would arrive within 30 minutes. They arrived in 20 minutes and the car was gone in 25 minutes. My car died in my parking garage and Geico arranged for a tow truck to come and take it into to the dealer. They neglected to tell the company that I was in a garage so when the driver arrived his truck was too big to fit inside. The driver, James, then went above and beyond the call of duty. First he made every attempt possible to get the car started to no avail. Once that was out of the question, we pushed the car (mostly him) up to the ramp in the garage. He was able to get his truck close enough to then use the cables to pull the car up the ramp and onto his flatbed. Robbie, the two truck operator, was phenomenal. First, he showed up within 30 minutes when I was told by Geico it would be 60 minutes. Next, he advised me of the location that Geico wanted to send me to was no longer in business and saved me the first hassle. Next, while we were on route to the next location, he had me call and saved me another hassle when I found out they could not take the car that evening. Finally, he personally dealt with my insurance company when he saw I was in no shape to deal with them. The next morning I had to call Jets Towing twice and both times the person I spoke to was courteous and patient with me. I highly recommend Jets Towing and especially, Robbie. Without his help that evening, it would have been a disaster. He went above and beyond and I really appreciate all he did to make my evening with my daughter better than it could have been after my car died after I had driven in from New Jersey, where I live.
