We gave Vincent our goals and he was ready with recommendations for hotel, steps to take to prepare for the visit and the updated rules for Disney Parks. He also helped answer all of our questions. We stayed at the Dolphin Hotel which is on the bus/ferry circuit for all parks and had an amazing stay. Thanks to Vincent's reminders to make reservations, we got into all the parks on the days we planned. With all events being canceled in NYC, my company canceled their reservations for the NY Table Top Show. Lois Lane insisted on a cancelation fee, even though this was beyond my company's responsibility. I would strongly recommend using another travel company as LL Travel only seems to be interested in their own profit and not in any client partnership.

I cannot find enough negative words to express my frustration and anger at Arrangements Abroad…read more Shame on me, since I travelled with them before and hated them, but decided to try one more time since my favorite art professor from the Met was supposed to be leading the trip and we love travelling with her and were interested in learning about Byzantium and the Western Mediterranean. However, any way in which Arrangements Abroad could skimp, they did--even limiting the "free" internet usage for an 8 day cruise to about 45 minutes and requiring a fee for all extra time. This was a VERY expensive cruise, although most of the $18,000 per person must have gone into the Arrangements Abroad owner's pocket. While we were on board the Sea Cloud II, which is lovely, the time on shore and visiting sites was reduced to a bare minimum--clearly to save Arrangements Abroad money. We spent at most 3 hours a day on shore, and had all our meals on board--also to save them money. For example, we arrived in Caligari, Sardinia at 8 am, but sat off the harbor until 2:30 pm, obviously to save them docking fees and to avoid the cost of a meal on shore and additional guide time. We finally left the tour after 4 days because we realized that over the following 4 days, we would be be spending a grand total of about 3 1/2 hours on shore. Jim advised that a partial refund or accomodation was out of the question. Even in booking a taxi to make our escape, we were again ripped off--being told by Arrangements Abroad that to get a car, we couldn't pay by credit card but had to pay cash. Arrangements collected 900 euros in cash from us, but we then learned that they paid the car service by credit card--obviously so they could take their cut. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has discontinued Travel with the Met, I have learned, mostly because there were so many complaints about Arrangements Abroad. Run, don't walk, if you have the opportunity to travel with them. How people gave them 5 stars is beyond me; those reviews must have been written by friends and family and none of them is recent.

PLEASE AVOID THE BLACK ONYX GROUP TRAVEL AGENCY !!…read more I just got back from an almost two week trip to Ghana with this travel agency and I can honestly say it was a trip from HELL! From the very beginning it appeared that the 150 group trip was a massive undertaking for The Black Onyx Group. It would have been better if The Black Onyx Group would have declined our contract and not planned the trip. The owner, Lisa Laws, was extremely unbearable. She's rude, obnoxious and very disrespectful. I personally limited my interactions with her because I watched how she engaged with my colleagues and it was totally unacceptable. The worst part of this trip was the hotel accommodations. The Black Onyx Group assured us that they made a site visit to the hotels two weeks prior to our arrival. The Black Onyx Group placed a group of 150 elite professionals in a less than 2 star hotel in Africa; not once, but twice. We paid premium dollar for this trip of a lifetime to be placed in hotel rooms with blood and urine stains on the carpet, no hot water and filthy beddings. Not once did The Black Onyx Group take accountability. Lisa never acknowledged any wrongdoing. I had to stay up all night to escalate my complaint to hotel management to get a decent hotel room with basic essentials. I had three different rooms in one night because of these disgusting accommodations. Not once did anyone from The Black Onyx Group step in to assist. They were well aware of the issues with the hotel and did absolutely nothing. There's so much more that I could say, but I digress. PLEASE AVOID THE BLACK ONYX GROUP TRAVEL AGENCY !!
