The opal middle and garnet pedals made for a delicate and unique ring that she fell in love with. She wore it a few times and then one of the garnets fell out. She gifted me this ring after my daughter was born because she didn't have the patience to get it fixed. Once I got it, it sat in my jewelry box. When Mom passed away on 6/9 of this year I felt it was time to fix this ring. I brought it into Muellers on 8/10 and met with Amy. We discussed resizing the ring and also finding the missing garnet. She assured me she could do it! I got multiple calls from Amy relating to her search and we decided to match the color of the garnet vs matching the color and cut. Amy then recommended fixing the prongs and strengthening the other prongs to avoid further loss of the garnets. I picked up my ring today (2 days after she called and said it was ready) To say I wasn't pleased would be an understatement. This ring is so beautiful and the quality of work beyond what I could have hoped for when I brought it in. A diamond needed to be replaced, the ring resized and the three rings that made up the one were soldered together. Johantgen Jewelers worst work ethics and customer service!…read more Brought in my Citizen Capri watch for repair to Johantgen Jewelers in Crystal, MN. It had stopped working and I had replaced the battery. In the process the hands had fallen off. My fault. I dropped the watch off with the instructions to reattach the hands. A few days later when the watch was returned to me: 1. One of the hands was completely missing. 2. I was told the watch was no longer working. 3. The dial number indicators at 1:00 and 3:00 were missing altogether! 4. The stopwatch feature now zeroed to the 3:00 position rather than the 12:00 position. 5. The second hand no longer ticked at the 7:00 through 12:00 second indicator marks on the dial. I returned the watch to Johantgen Jewelers and was told it would cost another $200 in addition to the $35 I had already spent for the original repair! The owner of Johantgen Jewelers is also the watch repair guy. He proceeded to try and lay all of the blame on me for the list of issues that he himself had caused. He became very upset and defensive when I stood my ground, and started yelling at me that it wasn't his responsibility to correct the issues that arose while the watch was in his care. He obviously knows very little about watches, nor how to repair them. He then hung up on me in a rage. I will be contacting the BBB in an effort to protect others from this type of manipulation.
