Very unprofessional and a cheat! I had several experiences with this Jeweler and all negative. First he damaged my stone, he supposed to remove my stone from a setting, he cut the prongs and in process made a little cut on my stone which he tried to blame on someone else and the damage already being there. Then he tried to keep the prongs (as if it's just gold dust) while he returned my prongs after me asking for them, he still managed to keep prongs from another piece of jewelry that I forgot he cut prongs from as well. On another occasion, I sold a piece of jewelry and the buyer wanted to have a Jeweler verify that it's gold and he told this Jeweler that he will give him $10 just confirm that it is gold, and he rudely kept rushing us out of the store while gladly took the money , and that is considering I went to him on several occasions to verify gold pieces and always paid him for his time which probably was the easiest and fastest money he ever made. While all of these experiences were negative, especially him damaging an expensive gem, I think the worst was, him keeping a prong which was significant amount of gold. Any honest Jeweler would return even the smallest piece , so I don't know why this guy thinks it's ok to keep a big chunk like that and he anticipated to keep even more had I not asked for other pieces. Unfortunately I didn't realise about that piece that he kept until much later, at which point I thought it was too late going back to ask for it. read more

I went to see about having a piece custom made plus a couple of repairs. I have done this several times over the years so I know the drill and about what the cost should be. I left them for one week and he finally gave me a quote which was at least twice what it should have been. In addition, he never even looked into my repairs. So, I just went and picked up my items. He has a very pricey location and I never saw any other customers so I am sure he has to inflate his prices as much as possible. Therefore, if you have a lot of available time and excess expendable cash, this might be the place for you! read more

I decided it was time to upgrade from my college ring to something new. I also had my Grandfather's high school ring, a ring my late mother had worn daily and some other random gold jewelry. I took them in with a few photos of things I'd seen and liked and asked for something unique to be created for me. Emmanuel was great. This was place great! A friend recommended it since they had a few pieces of jewelry fixed there. I went in as a walk in just before Christmas and he was able to fix the bracelet I needed for a Christmas present. He offered to do it right there and have me wait a few minutes or said I could come back in a few hours which I opted for since I was running errands. He did such a great job repairing it and cleaned it for free as well. It was insanely affordable. The owner was very friendly. I will definitely be back with other pieces i need repaired. read more

I got my wedding ring here and I love it. First a little background, I was snorkeling in Hawaii and I found a wedding ring on the ocean floor. Some poor tourist must have been snorkeling, his hands got a little wrinkly, and the ring came off. Not sure where to turn it in I just kept it. Hopefully, my wedding is doomed as a result. Anyway, I brought the ring in to Jewels on 5th and able to make 2 rings (one for me and one for my wife). Mine is simple. Just a white gold band. Nothing fancy. My wife, however, is a little bit of a princess and she needed a ring that compliments her engagement ring. We worked with the jeweler and came up with a wedding ring that the engagement ring sits in. So the engagement ring is sandwiched between the double wedding ring. It's hard to describe but the point is is it looks great and my wife is happy. They were able to match the existing elements in the wedding ring perfectly. It's truly a unique piece. I took my engagement ring to Jewels on 5th to get resized and I couldn't be more impressed! My engagement ring is a 100+ year old family heirloom, so I was very nervous about anyone making any changes to it. It's also platinum, so I knew that the sizing would be more expensive and involved. I was so impressed by their customer service and most of all their honesty! I was initially quoted $100+ to get my ring made smaller, which I was okay with paying as I knew resizing vintage rings is a more delicate procedure - but when I got the bill it was $80! My ring was in gorgeous condition and you couldn't tell that it had been resized at all, and it was the perfect fit! I will be bringing all of my jewelry to this business from now on. The store is full of beautiful, unique pieces made by local artists. They are very reasonably priced, and Emmanuel and Julie are so friendly and so personable. My fiancee and I recently had a ring made by another local artist (John McDavid) for the groom's wedding band. He custom made a stainless steel ring. When we decided we'd like to have a few diamonds set, John warned us that it may be difficult to find a jeweler who can set stones in such a hard metal. We talked to Emmanuel, who surprisingly said it would be no problem to set diamonds in steel. He then showed us a few examples of other stainless steel rings that he had also set with diamonds; after helping us choose the stones and decide on the placement of them, he went to work. A few weeks later, we came back and picked up the ring. It could not have been more perfect! The setting was complicated for a number of reasons, but Emmanuel did it flawlessly. It was so much fun to work with them, and I would highly recommend them for any job - as small as cleaning a watch to custom building a wedding band. Fabulous! read more

I went in early December to have a custom 3 stone necklace made. I showed him a picture of exactly what I wanted and a similar version of my own, which was going to be used towards the new one. I was told it would cost $700, thinking that it was extremely high and against my better judgment, I decided to move forward. Emmanuel purchased one of the stones and I made a down payment of $200. Upon thinking it over, and realizing it would not turn out as originally planned (based on the purchase of the stone and the price of the necklace) I decided to forgo the sale. Emmanuel refused to return my down payment and was very adamant about losing money on the stone, explaining that he could not return or use it for something else and that I had to pay for it. In his defense, the receipt said no returns, exchanges, etc. However, besides buying the 1 stone, (which I'm positive could be used for something/someone else) there was no physical work done to make the necklace. Extremely unprofessional business practice and someone I would never ever do business with again. read more

My Husband first found them a year after we started dating and had them design a custom promise ring for me, followed by our custom designed and made super intricate wedding bands and many others things he had custom ordered from them including the installation of a diamond into the wedding band for our first anniversary I just picked up from them and a beautiful set of earrings made to specification and using my parents wedding bands. I wanted somthing pretty basic, and Julie was able to find me just the ring to fit my style! Now, my wife on the other hand wanted somthing custom and special and Julie did not let her down!! She custom crafted a white gold and diamond ring that my wife literally cried over! To this day she cant stop staring at it. Julie is just amazing at what she do's!!
