We needed a whole new system due to an evaporator coil manufacture defect issue and they gave us several options to choose from in order to accommodate our budget. We have spent over $200k with Keller between two house projects. Keller was introduced to us…read morethrough our general contractor, Mehus Construction. I got to know Jason and Matt through the years and found them to be stand-up guys who do high quality work. We had three heat pumps installed in our residence; the install looked good to me but when one of the heat pumps went out two years ago (refrigerant leaked out of rusted coils), I was notified by Residential Air that the heat pump was incorrectly installed. It turns out the coils had rusted (a common occurrence following new construction). Mitsubishi requires at least 10 inches of clearance to access coils on the bottom, they had 1! Oh well so is life, I ended up spending $20k this week to replace the unit and correct the ductwork to allow at least 10 inches of clearance, they were able to get 16 inches to make warranty work even easier. Well, well what did they find inside one of the plenums, a pornographic sketch in a unit between my kid's rooms when they were 4 and 6 when this was installed. I get it, I have been involved in construction for many years and there is construction work banter, but this just sucks. what else is lurking in my ductwork? Does Keller do background checks on their employees?
