I just really got advice. I will see if it was correct, I came home early to remove a barrier to give the tech Access, but he really didn't open or inspect anything where the water could be coming from. I ended up calling someone else to be honest. There was no re-assurance that it will stop by just changing the filters. Not worth the $110. I paid for 10 minutes. I get alot of info off you tube, and they opened up to inspect the source. Nice guy though, but I didnt have the "Customer Assurance of resolved . We had a new heat pump installed and not long after we started hearing unusual sounds from it and noticed more-than-expected condensation underneath it. We are more used to traditional AC condenser units so weren't sure if either of these were serious. The installer was willing to come out to check but wanted to charge a very large fee plus an hourly minimum. Called Modern Air for a more reasonable quote and Seth was quick to get us scheduled. Billy came out and after careful examination explained condensation underneath our outdoor heat pump is normal. Our heat pump has 5 speeds so doesn't always make the same noise. No issues. Billy was personable and clearly a subject matter expert. He made some helpful observations of our existing system which will help us better manage and know when to service the unit. This company has to be the most ethical and reliable that I have ever dealt with. My thermostat quit working and I decided to get a new thermostat without batteries. Billy discovered there had been a problem with the installation of the thermostat. Since I did not want to fool with replacing batteries he wired the current thermostat to the furnace so no need to have a different thermostat. So charge was less since new thermostat was no longer needed. So good to know that there are still honest, ethical people still providing great service when needed. I can recommend Modern Air. I have an LG mini-split system. They came out last year when my A/C was struggling. They found a leak, replaced a couple valves and purged the entire system. Wasn't cheap. The valves alone were $1K. The new refrigerant cost $1,600, not including labor. But they were competent and professional with great communication and service. What a great group of people. We are remodeling part of our house and took the opportunity to remove old asbestos lined ducts and replace them with new ducting. We also wanted to increase the size of our air return. Billy was very quick to respond to my request for a quote, which was competitive.
