I would like to start off with the receptionist I spoke, Suzi, with from the beginning set an absolutely amazing example of great customer service. She was extremely helpful, polite, and understanding of my concerns. She helped with booking me an appointment for the same day for the Electro-Acupuncture.It is important to note that the **ONLY** reason I booked this appointment instead of waiting two days to see a highly recommended, trusted, and experienced Acupuncturist & Massage Therapist who is only a 45 minute drive away and literally HALF THE PRICE, was due to this service being offered. Upon arriving Suzi and I spoke again about the Electro-Acupuncture and how excited I was for this service. We spoke on my prior electrotherapy from when I fractured my back and the benefits of that therapy, to how this Electro-Acupuncture will be beneficial as well. I met with Dr. Janelle* who took notes on my problem areas, and then proceeded to start treatment which I was laying face down on the massage table. Not sure if it is normal practice for acupuncture, but I would expect the locations of needle entry to be cleaned or sterilized with at the minimum an alcohol wipe prior to sticking me with needles, which that was not done. The massage therapist, I believe Viera, was very polite and professional as well, she performed cupping too. After the service was completed I met with Suzi at the reception desk to check out and Suzi had asked Dr. Janelle* about the Electro-Acupuncture, to which she responded we did not do today. And that the only difference was the strength of results...I confirmed the total would still be $165 even though I did not receive the service I requested, to which the response was yes. The doctor was waiting to go with her purse while I was checking out, and stated that the only difference is the strength of results, it would have been much stronger. Frustrated, I pay. At no point was there any type of alleviation of misunderstanding on the type of treatment, no type of slight discount for inconvenience, literally nothing. I leave and immediately call my boyfriend and explained the situation. He agreed with me on my feelings towards this. Again, the ONLY reason I did not wait TWO DAYS, for a HALF PRICED SERVICE (apples to apples) was due to the Electro part, that I did not receive. It is extremely unfortunate as I and my partner live maybe 3 minutes away, are willing and wanting to do treatments and benefit our health, and I will never go back, nor refer anyone to go here. At this point I am not even going to update about results, if any. I am very bothered about spending this much money for nothing. Feeling ripped off. *Update: Dr. Janelle * Response to owner: Thank you for your response. I did clarify the provider's name on Google and apologize that this correction was not reflected here as well. I appreciate you providing that clarification. Regarding the treatment, Dr. Janelle informed me that electrotherapy had not been used only after the session had concluded--this was not communicated to me beforehand, nor was your receptionist aware until the session concluded as well while we were together. Therefore, I did not have the opportunity to consent to or refuse the recommended treatment in advance, as suggested. As for the follow-up, I do not feel obligated to respond to calls made months after the initial posting. Your team had ample time to reach out and address the matter in a timely manner. While the only correction needed in my original review was the provider's name, I found several inaccuracies in your response that reflect a broader issue of accountability. I spent a couple of years of my life learning to navigate through a new incurable illness. None of my primary or specialty practitioners have brought me an ounce of relief in comparison to this group. I can't explain it. The level of care, quality, and concern for their patient's well-being is not something you can find at any other practice, and I've been to many. I referred my Mother-In-Law to give Dr. Perkins a try. She had very pleasant experience with acupuncture previously, but did not want to drive so far to find relief. She thoroughly enjoys visiting East West Healing Solutions, and raves it is a much different experience and even better than her previous acupuncture sessions. I was being treated for neck and hip issues by an orthopedic. I had several complaints regarding balance and range of motion, due to these ailments. He recommended restorative yoga and stretch yoga at this Wellness studio. After several sessions I have regained both. The Instructers here are knowledgeable and caring. They are aware of each individual needs I continued these sessions today and have forgotten the pain, I have also included the Tai Chi class in my repertoire. This center offers more i.e. meditation, acupuncture and cold laser therapy and many other natural solutions under the guidance of Dr. Marie Perkins. I went to orthopedic surgeons, physical therapy, had epidurals and nothing helped. I saw Dr. Hadley 5 visits and my pain was 95% gone. I would not believe someone saying this but I swear it is true. I was told my only option was surgery and it has been approximately 5 months and I am pain free. Dr. Hadley is patient, kind and really listens to you. Dr. Perkins and the whole office staff at EastWest healing are a gift to the community ! Not too long ago, as I was new to the area, I had to go online and search for a physician who would relieve my chronic, acute pain that was affecting my daily routine , family and work life. Thanks to that search and also some suggestions from work , I finally entered one of the best doctor' s offices in the ...world (and yes, I mean it) : kind staff who welcome you with an authentic smile and concern for your pain and well- being, cozy waiting area, prompt , immediate care (not one hour wait ) , straight to the point diagnosis and treatment . Right that day two hours later I was walking out of the practice. Pain-free. Of course I am going back to make Dr Perkins. my new PCP. I have decided to live pain - and meds- free. Dr. Perkins is amazing, she is so knowledgeable in her field and has an incredible energy! I have been seeing her once a week for acupuncture for over a year now and I feel so much better in mind, body and soul. I have already recommended her to my friends and family and would recommend her to anybody contemplating acupuncture for any kind of pain, whether it be physical or mental. Here is a true story; I was suffering from some major period cramps, like roll up in a ball kind, and I was going in for acupuncture that day so I told her how I was suffering and she goes "humm ok" and I could see the wheels turning as she always knows just what to do. I laid on the table feeling like there was a brick in my stomach twisting my insides and she starts putting in the pins and she put one in like the top of my ear and it was like the brick disappeared! Then she put in another pin that felt close to the first one and my stomach felt like it was FLOATING, it was like INSTANT relief! I am usually quiet and drift off into zen land but I was so shocked and impressed that I had to tell her that instant what I had just felt! I know this is science, but it is the closest to magic I feel you'll ever get. I recommend acupuncture and Dr. P 100000%!!! ALSO I will let y'all know that a lot of insurances are covering acupuncture now (I started here for chronic headaches and migraines which are all but gone now btw) so try this before you head to a chiropractor. read more
