For me, this place is just an absolute blessing in the Beaurivage casino. Especially if you're slightly hung over, and maybe stayed up too late. The Pho here is absolutely fantastic. Easily rates around the top 10 that I've ever had. But that warm and body full broth is just what you want when maybe you need a little bit more hydration in your life. Our server was fantastic, she was friendly and very attentive. Overall, a very good experience. I also sampled some of the Godzilla roll, which was really really good. The Beef Pho was perfect. After a long day, tiresome day, a warm soup makes you feel very good and hydrated. The Chicken wings appetizer was very delicious. It has peanuts on them which I love. I love the Beef Chow Fun here, the green onion with it makes the dish taste very fresh. Whenever I come here I order the Beef Chow Fun and the calamari appetizer. Clearly, if you're staying at the Beaurivage, you have quite a few choices of eateries to choose from. We had lunch from this location today and ordered the rare beef pho and the beef and broccoli stir fry to go. The first taste was shockingly, salty as far as the broth in the PHO the noodles were cooked nicely and served on the side as well as the rare beef, which actually is raw beef and when you add that to the broth along with these wonderful condiments, they provided of being sprouts, basil jalapeño, and the sauces, which seem to be a mixture of hoisin and hot spicy sauce you have now contaminated all these lovely things with this incredibly salty broth. I could not eat very much as much as I would've liked at the very same time my friend dug into her broccoli and beef, and the first bite of the beef was oh it's so salty! Do not add soy sauce that they give you on anything until you taste your food as well my soup was not hot enough to be considered PHO in terms of temperature. It's supposed to cook the meat at least a little bit. My mixture was lukewarm at best so sadly, I cannot recommend this to someone who's looking for a really great PHO. The restaurant has a number of cold items, including sushi, as well as hot items like potstickers stirfry and perhaps there's other items that might not be so extremely salty. We would've liked to sit in the restaurant and have our meal, but it was frigid temperature wise throughout Beaurivage, including the restaurant cold drafts hitting from the ceilings. We both love this casino and the games and enjoy so much spending some time here together for four or five nights the entire time I've had the temperature set for 80 in the room and it never got above 76 with a lovely draft. Brrrrrrrr! my advice is perhaps stick to the sushi items in this particular eatery and wear a very cozy wrap. The staff we encountered were professional and helpful. Located in the Beau Rivage, this was a meal about which I was EXCITED! At this point in our trip, we were over the big meals and wanted something a little less heavy, so we opted to do noodles and sushi. Our plan was to start with the noodles and add more rolls as needed. We were seated for for our reservation immediately, and our servers came right over. After we selected our wine for the night, we got right into the meal. First up, the BÚN (from the menu - Vermicelli Noodles served at room temperature over Shredded Cucumbers, Fresh Herbs, Bean Sprouts, Crispy Lettuce, topped with Roasted Peanuts, Green Onions, Fried Shallots & Nuoc Mam). We added shrimp and the bowl was kitchen split, which was nice. We also kept it simple with a spicy tuna roll and veggie roll. Both were sublime, and the wasabi was HOT (a common sushi peeve is that I have to add a ton of wasabi for a kick, but this got me quickly). The veggies were fresh and crisp, and the spicy tuna, while not super spicy, was presented as chunks of ruby-red, marinated tuna, rather than the more minced version I traditionally find. Delicious. There were plenty of other menu options, including pho, huge specialty sushi rolls (we saw one leave the bar with an entire eel on top!), teppanyaki, lo mein, rice, and other pan-asian dishes. We had a blast at Jia! I've been wanting to dine here for years and it was worth the wait! Our chef was awesome! He kept us entertained and the food was delicious! I ordered the miso soup and other guest ordered egg drop. Oh my goodness, the egg drop soup looked soooo good and was soooo delicious! If you're staying at Beau Rivage, this would be the place you'd go to for Asian food. Primarily Sushi and Vietnamese Pho I'd say. But the thing that I'd highly recommend for sure is the Blue Crab Claws. It's not a whole meal but it is definitely a great appetizer. It's a simple bite size crab claw packed with flavor. Eat it with some of the peppers for an additional kick, if you're into that kind of thing. The service is like anything you'd expect from a Casino restaurant but the only difference I'd say is the added "Southern Hospitality" which makes everything much more pleasant. It's pretty cool as you can kind of choose your own ambiance. You can either sit at the sushi bar, noodle bar or inside the restaurant. The food was utterly Divine and I think we will try so many other items when we come back here. The spring rolls were utterly crunchy and had really really good flavors. I like the sauce that came with it it did have a little kick to it sweet and kick and it too was just perfect for the spring rolls. Teppanyaki was use it for one person but we split it and that worked out perfect because as you can see the size is large. Delicious !! . After numerous visits to Beau Rivage, I finally ate at Jia because I had a food credit. Overall, a good spot but a little pricey for what it is. If I didn't have the food credit, this would probably be a 3 star review. I had the ahi tuna poke bowl, which was very tasty but not worth the $38 they were charging. The waitress was nice and accurate with orders but would disappear for long stretches. Also, the food took quite awhile to arrive but they were very busy. my experience at Jia this past weekend was an extreme disappointment. We have dined here many many times with stellar service and food, however, this was a horrible experience with my server. Never received my complete order after a 45 min wait and when i could finally flag down my server, he argued with me that he had delivered everything to me. While trying to explain, he continued to interrupt and insisting that I "did get my order". Spoke with management and the bill was adjusted to reflect what I received. Located in the beau rivage I ate here as a second dinner because we couldn't resist passing it up. We took a look at the menu and decided to get the jia roll which really blew my socks off with presentation and flavor. Also the spring rolls were some of the best I've ever had! If you're staying in the beau rivage this is a must. Even if you aren't spending the night I'd recommend coming in because looking around at other guests plates EVERYTHING looked so good. They serve Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine. I wish I was more hungry when I ate here because I would've tried so much more so I'll have to be back. Where do I begin? My experience at Jia wasn't just disappointing--it raised serious questions about their ability to manage even the basic fundamentals of running a restaurant. A great dining experience isn't just about the food (which I would say the food was very good); the service must match the quality and care that goes into the kitchen. Unfortunately, Jia failed on that front. I visited with my parents for a simple dinner. Upon arriving, I informed the hostess--both verbally and by holding up three fingers due to the noise--that we needed a table for three. She told us there would be a 15-minute wait, which we accepted. Instead, we waited 35 minutes and were finally led to a high-top table in the bar area--with only two seats. When I reminded the hostess that I had requested a table for three, she curtly replied, "I heard you say two, so you'll have to wait," and then walked away. No apology. No attempt to fix the mistake. I asked her to bring another chair so we could sit--she did, but I had to help my elderly parents climb onto the high stools. Not a good start. We placed our orders, and the meals came out staggered--first my mother's, then five minutes later my father's, and finally, mine...30 minutes later. That's right--30 minutes after the others had started eating. While I waited, our waitress said she had escalated the delay to the manager, but no one ever came to offer an update, a simple apology, or even a complimentary appetizer to make the wait more bearable. Eventually, another server brought my food. Still no manager. When I finally asked to speak to one, he came over, and I calmly explained the situation. Instead of showing genuine concern, he looked around the room, distracted and disengaged, like he was just checking off a box--"listen to customer complaint." He offered nothing meaningful, just a quiet comp of my meal. That wasn't the point. I wasn't looking for a free dinner--I wanted accountability and some assurance this wouldn't happen again. To top it off, this was a regular Wednesday evening--not particularly busy. The mishandling of our seating, service delays, and lack of leadership left a lasting impression--and not a good one. I decided to take my son to Jia for lunch. I highly recommend reservations well in advance for dinner! You can come for lunch and sit at either the sushi bar or the pho bar. We arrived shortly before 2pm and were the first patrons here. The hostess advised me that there weren't any reservations for dinner available until 9:45pm....now I see why they recommend making reservations. Good thing we were here for lunch. We opted to sit at the sushi bar. Shortly after we were seated, our server Dre came over to greet us. I ordered the sanjia to drink and we ordered the crispy spring rolls to share. The sanjia was a delightful blend of sake, peach schnapps, Prosecco, passion fruit, lychee, and mixed berries. The spring rolls were cooked just right and so flavorful. My son ordered the rainbow roll and pho Thai and I ordered goi Tom. While waiting for our food, Dre came over several times to check on us and refill our water. I loved my drink so much that I ordered a second one! Our food came out and it smelled and looked delicious! My son LOVED his pho and sushi! He's such a snob when it comes to pho and sushi and he said it was excellent! Me on the other hand, my goi Tom was so spicy that I could barely eat it. Had I known it was that spicy, I wouldn't have ordered it. I would recommend the restaurant have a spice indicator on the menu. Luckily, Dre came to check on us and I let him know. With zero hesitation, he had it remade without the spice. While I did eat the non spicy version, I think taking away the spice also took away the seasoning/flavor so I don't recommend that. After our servers recommendation, who was great by the way, I got the Szechuan beef. Perfect amount of spice and white rice.. big portion. You definitely need to order something...the water tasted horrible. Toro 3 Ways was fresh. The sticky pork was good. The duck was truly yucky. Chopped pieces of duck that were all rubbery fat, with limp cucumbers and 2 bao buns that had been nuked too long and were rock hard. For appetizers we had the potstickers, wings, and my son ordered egg drop soup. The wings were good, the dumplings were fine, and he didn't really care for the soup. Though the plating was nice, the honey chicken and lo mien were just okay, and the sticky pork was dry and chewy, with sauce barely coating it. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but everything was mediocre and unimpressive. Truly, we would have done better to find a Chinese sit-down restaurant. It's genuinely baffling how a casino as polished as the Beau Rivage allows such an unprofessional and chaotic front-of-house operation to exist. The hosts at Jia seem to operate on their own bizarre logic -- ignoring waiting guests, snapping at anyone who dares ask a simple question, and acting as though seating people is some sort of personal favor rather than, you know, their job. You could stand there for ten minutes while they argue among themselves or scroll through their screens without so much as a glance in your direction. When you finally do get acknowledged, it's often with the warmth of an airport security line. The tone is curt, the attitude dripping with disdain, and any sense of hospitality is completely missing. Once you're finally seated -- assuming you haven't given up and walked out -- the restaurant itself is fine. The food is decent, the servers try their best, but it's hard to enjoy anything when your dining experience starts with such hostility and incompetence. It's the kind of front desk that makes you wonder whether management ever sets foot outside their office. There are plenty of places to spend your money in Biloxi, and even within the Beau Rivage itself, you'll find better service almost anywhere else.
