I followed Alainna to Mending Roots and couldn't be happier. The location is convenient, clean, and welcoming. If you are into wholistic 'stuffs', they have a bunch. If you are a man and work out (or use your muscles for anything), you should schedule an appointment. Alainna has a tremendous understanding of the human body and uses that knowledge to relieve tension. She has helped me loosen up tight muscles, which in turns helps me perform better at pretty much everything I do. If you are looking for a deep tissue, therapeutic type massage, you can stop your search. Alainna is the last person you will need to 'try'. She is great!! Follow up.... I took my daughter to see Alainna. She dances at CPYB, and was looking for supplemental work to aide with her ballet. Alainna was great with her (it was her first massage). Okay, I have been a patron of Mending Roots since March, and as of today I have had a massage and interacted with every person who works there. Each massage I've had has been unique and completely what I needed at that time. The massage therapists there really work off intuition and you're not going to get the same session from each practitioner. One of the therapists is also a nutritionist with an holistic approach and another is also a life coach! Lovely, lovely experience each visit. I've also taken a yoga class there from Zoe. She does free yoga once a month so I felt like it was a really good opportunity to get in and try out the space. There are other instructors there (and please forgive me, I'm a little ignorant when it comes to types/styles of yoga) who teach/guide classes where you memorize the flow and they are there to assist you further into a pose or help you get into a handstand, whatever. I have ONLY OBSERVED these classes, I am not that advanced yet. When Bobbi Misti comes back in May 2018, I may try to take on the class! They also have a great gift/salve/tincture/essential oil boutique. I seriously think this is a hidden gem for gift shopping. I think everything they have is locally made, so that's pretty cool that they're supporting other local businesses in their business. Tami and team has created an amazing space for healing and growth in this convenient Camp Hill location. In addition to their massage practice, Mending Roots also offers a variety of classes and workshops (yoga, tai chi, support groups, etc.) for the entire community. Tami's bodywork abilities are, hands-down, the best that I've ever experienced. She is highly trained and intuitive to adjust based on each individual's needs. She makes anyone feel comfortable and welcome into their place and will "listen" to a client's body to work on any areas that need additional TLC. If you're looking to support a local business versus a franchise massage therapy establishment, Mending Roots is the superior choice. This place is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is very calming and you feel at ease as soon as you walk in the door. The rooms are very relaxing, clean and comfortable. The girl who gave me my masseage was very professional, very nice and was very helpful to my troubled areas. I was in the area visiting from Chicago and Mending Roots was recommended as a great massage place. The studio is such a warm and charming place that includes a beautiful yoga studio and a lovely gift shop with a variety of great gifts from local artists and craftsmen throughout the area that includes everything from handmade pottery, jewelry, textiles and much more. I would highly recommend popping in if you are looking for some great gift giving options. The massage itself was terrific with just the right amount of pressure, a lovely massage room, warm and comfy heated massage table, and beautiful all natural essential oils and lotions used by my therapist. Jess is truly a wonderful massage therapist. Compassion, love, and positive energy emanate from her. You can tell she gives her whole self into what she is doing, which makes you feel extremely well taken care of. I work 12 hour shifts at the hospital, Jess is able to relieve any accumulated stresses and aches I come to her with.
