Torn. I've been here twice and the first time was excellent. The massage was on point and when the douchebags next to me decided to have a loud conversation in this obvious quiet-zone, the receptionist swooped through and told them to shut it. Bravo, miss. This last time, however, I got a massage from a female therapist who did a good, but too gentle, job on my feet. The problem was that when she moved to the top part of my body, her hair was smacking me in the face. Like, repeatedly. All up in there. Not great. Money well spent. Today was my second visit to Jiao and, once again, I enjoyed a great foot massage for an unbeatable price. I've enjoyed other Chinese foot massages in other cities (LA and NYC) but Jiao is a step up from your typical chinese foot massage. The set up is more private, with curtains separating every two chairs - and the chairs themselves are new, nice and comfy. For folks that have never had a foot massage, there is a fine line between pain and pleasure, and there are moments during my foot massage that can really hurt. But, the little bit of pain is followed by relaxation and I leave Jiao feeling much better than I did when I entered. I agree with other reviewers - sometimes other guests, because of their proximity, can be a bit distracting - so be prepared to zone out and try to ignore them. Another tip is to ask for the last chair at the end of the row (so that there is a wall to your right). read more

I love the convenience of this place and have the best massage today I've had in quite a while. I've learned to ask for a non-smoking massage therapist. I would like it if the management there would manage the people coming in and how loud they are. Loved it!! Awesome service, came here for date night & loved it. They were very good about asking the pressure that they were using on you during the massage session and they brought out hot tea and a cookie for a treat. What a lovely evening spent at jiao. My masseuse was kevin while my best friends masseause was andy. A wonderful pairing as they did our massages almost in sync. The 30 minute foot massage was amazing i was left excited for the next part of my massage and very pleased . The one hour body massage was absolutely the best massage i'd ever had. My body felt relaxed and like some of the kinks had actually been worn out. too often you get a massage and it's really a expensive optioning session but this is not that. They re offering buy one get one free all December and even though we went on November 30th, the owner gave the deal. Felt amazing after i left today! It's a commitment to get the hard level of foot massage but well worth it. I got a 60 minute foot (first 10 or 15 were soaking) and 30 minute hand massage. Does not accept HSA payments. The entire reason I allowed myself to get a two hour massage was to use up some of my HSA money, but I didn't know until after the massage that they did not accept payment from your HSA account - didn't realize I had to ask about that. So I will not be back because I usually only use HSA money for massages unless I am gifted a massage. When I walked in, I did notice a little odor smell, but it kinda went away or I got used to it. Wish they had more diffusers or real candles to kinda have the place smelling really nice, but I guess that's a personal preference or something I can only expect of a higher end spa. Also, wish they would've had music playing in each massage room or just louder overall - I don't really like to hear people talking to other customers, etc when getting a massage. Lastly, when I turned over and the therapist was massaging my face, I could smell smoke, either from his hands or breath (obviously not ideal), and they put their fingers in my ears. Maybe I'm alone in this, but I would rather you not (didn't think I would have to tell them that either). Overall the experience was positive. There is a free parking lot. Lots of space for customers, however I recommend making a reservation because they tend to get pretty full during peak hours. They also offer a punch card so the more you go, the more stamps you get toward a free massage. I've been coming here a lot, and I think they are letting their quality and customer service slip. Twice recently I've been placed in an overflow room, even though I requested to please not be in there! It is not a calming space at all--brighter, louder, and across from a bathroom so you can hear people peeing the entire time you are getting your foot massage. Small changes are also happening--the immaculate bathrooms are not quite so perfect anymore. A knob falls off the sink when I use it. The nice soap is replaced with cheap stuff. Excellent customer service and very clean. I was concerned that the water that my feet would soak in was just recycled from customer to customer, like they do with chips at Mexican restaurants, but when I was seated I just happened to be able to look down another hallway where the employees would go and each basket of water is dumped out and replaced with a new liner and water, so a very clean place. Luckily most of my appointment was quiet and relaxing but my only complaint is with the other customers. It irritates me how rude other people can be. This is a place to go to relax not sit there and chat up a storm talking about what you had for lunch or what you plan on doing the rest of the afternoon. They have signs in the lobby asking you to whisper. Learn how to read!!! Jason worked on my feet. He was great. He really worked out the knots in my feet. When he would find a tight spot he'd focus on it and really work the area and wouldn't move on until he was satisfied with the result. One word- Andy! He has hands like no other. I had one of the best massages ever by him. He was absolutely great. He made sure to check on me as it related to pressure and trouble spots. I will never let anyone do a full body massage on me here except for Andy. I had a full body here before discovering Andy and it was absolutely horrible. The foot massages have always been great here, no matter who I've gotten. It is suggested to make an appointment if you are going on the weekend. I have called a few hours before coming in and I've been able to get a foot massage. It's very quiet inside and allows for you to relax. It is in a strip mall, so the parking lot can be a little busy. The price for services align with other reflexology places. read more

I love this place so much I get emotional just thinking about how great it is... :p First of all--twofer Tuesday's?! Yeah, split the cost with a friend and tip big. As a former ballet dancer, you really can't massage my feet too hard. Nor can anyone but Chinese reflexologists relieve the incessant pain in my back/shoulder from a bad muscle tear years ago. The pain relief LASTS...I'm talking weeks...months...pretty much until I do something dumb and hurt the injury again. This place is a godsend to me. An affordable, drug free one at that. I went in for a foot rub and ended up getting 30 minutes on my shoulder, too, since the reflexology was so great. My therapist was exhausted by the end of it, he worked so hard (did I mention my feet and shoulder are really, really messed up?)! That's commitment! The atmosphere is nice, with curtains in between the large comfy chairs, and a nice little side table. Calm, quiet music, no TV or loud surrounding business...just a nice wall of Chinese art to gaze at as you relax. I seriously recommend this to anyone who goes to get pedicures mainly for the sad, little massage. This place will blow your mind for the same price! Hell, I seriously recommend this place, period. Been here twice and both experiences have been awesome and relaxing. The room is open with massages going on in a side by side row but the decor and seating arrangement make you feel comfortable enough to relax and drift off to sleep. Good for all ages and genders! I most definitely would suggest this as an awesome intro to getting use those kind of service especially if you are self conscious to your feet. So walked in-they said they had a 7pm opening so I had to wait 20 min (totally understandable since I was a walk in). Then all of a sudden this group of 3 people comes in and they made their reservation for the wrong day so instead of them turning those people away-they gave my appointment to them and told me my spot was no longer available. There was a time when you could walk in, but now you walk in, and no matter what time of day it is or what day of the week it is, they tell you they are fully booked. I waited the last time and was quite surprised that no one ever exited the establishment, then when I was taken back, I was walked past 5 empty chairs. I had the pleasure of going 4/29/17. For a $35 foot massage I did not expect to get the service I received. I LOVED IT. It was very much relaxing and well worth the money that you are spending. I swear this man cracked everything from my feet to my neck. The only thing that I would suggest is to look into private rooms for you foot reflexology. This place does proper Chinese foot reflexology. It's definitely not for the wimpy (they really get in there!). But you will leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Not to mention, they are incredibly affordable! They begin by soaking your feet in tea, and serving you hot jasmine tea and cookies. Then, 50 minutes of bliss! The decor is simple, but clean.
