Jibe opened inside of an older building and did an amazing work at modernizing the studio and preserving the charm of the outside including the stained glass windows . The studio is state of the art with great bikes, fun lights , excellent sound systems and more importantly fun amazing instructors to lead the classes. Every class is different but you always het a great workout and a cool experience. Plenty of metered parking in both sides and a garage across the street

Loved the intensity of the spin class offered here while I was visiting Charleston. I did a single class and if your on a budget and have class pass you can opt for that route as well but wanted to support the local cycling business here so opted for the single class option. The price was pretty reasonable for a single class and overall it looks like most of their rates a great deals. The building looks like a church and even the spin room kind of had that vibe too. Service was great they had plenty of staff to check you in and help with the bikes. There were enough lockers and they had a bottle refill station too. The shoe fit was great and easy to clip on and off the bike. The class was awesome they have a great format that is high energy. They keep that energy throughout and there's active recovery but just enough so you really feel like you had a good workout. The music is great too and I like the blue and green lighting that fit the mood for each song. There's arms workout too as most of these classes have this one was hard but in a good way. Will come back next time I'm in Charleston.

I usually frequent the West Ashley location, but it is only a few months old so it's not yet on Yelp. Emily Valentine teaches core vinyasa on Sundays, and it is always a great time! She has an amazing playlist and is always motivating and supportive. I always leave feeling like I really worked out my whole body and I am ALWAYS sore the next few days, but it's a good feeling because I know I worked hard in Emily's class! I also highly recommend their assisted deep stretch class. It's very relaxing and it feels so good to stretch and take your mind off of everything going on. The studio spaces are always clean and well taken care of. There's only been a couple times where a class was really crowded, but we always make it work!

This is the noisiest yoga studio that could possibly exist. Why? Why do you do this to guests?…read more We entered the lobby to cocktail-party level chitchat, which didn't seem to phase anyone but my friend and me. Nice Staff showed us to lockers. All that could have been ok if the class had been ... enjoyable enough to do. Why did the teacher have a headpiece for screaming instructions, when there is no way the room wouldn't be covered just fine by her voice. I tried for about fifteen minutes, trying to follow her sometimes muted screaming by looking around me. I gave up and went to the front desk where they kindly said this was normal and offered me a cup of earplugs to pick from. I took them and used them for about three minutes when I gave up. The place purposefully makes it so loud that they have odes of earplugs in a cute little jar on the counter. That's just messed up. I usually do vinyasa flow, my friend does Bikram and neither of us really knew what this class was. Worst $30 one a class pass ever.

I love HyLo for the showers alone. The women's shower is a full room, with marble walls, and all the accoutrements you'd need--soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, towels, and even a scale. My only complaint is that they don't have makeup remover or any hair products in the bathroom when I'm getting ready after my workout, but I just bring what I need from home. The HY classes really work you in the cardio department. They all use a combination of spin bikes, rowing machines, free weights / kettlebells, ropes, TRX things (idk what they're called), and body weight to perform a lot of exercises in a short period of time with a lot of energy. Similar to what I assume some crossfit classes include. The LO classes use a special board to use your body weight and weighted poles or rubber bands to strengthen your body using your own body weight. This is most similar to pilates, barre, or yoga. All of which I'm terrible at, as I have the upper body strength of a newborn baby. Both classes totally kick my butt and make me feel like I've really worked my body hard! Highly recommend!

This…read morewas a great gym to drop into as a hotel guest at a place that offers free access, but I'm not sure I would join this gym unless it was really, really cheap. Here's why: 1) Equipment: pretty good selection actually. Lots of free weight options, including barbells, a squat rack, benches, a deadlift area with bumper plates, dumbbells up to 100lbs; plus many machines, including cable machines, and quite a few cardio options. The high point of this gym is definitely the variety of training options. 2) Ambiance: needs work. The whole gym is dark and a bit dingy; the bathrooms are filthy (well, at least the men's was), there's water and who knows what else on the floor and many lockers were broken; equipment is in general disarray, and some machines don't function exactly right. All in all, this gym needs a tune-up! 3) Convenience: 24 hours, close to many downtown hotels, some parking out front. All in all, an ok gym, but definitely needs some TLC!

I'm dropping my review down by a star. I have been here over a year now and while I like the gym…read moretheir AC is horrendous. I understand it's a big facility, of course everyone working out is going to heat the place up... so you would think they'd invest in a better unit and or run it colder. Within five minutes of being there, before I start working out on occasions, I'm already sweating. I don't remember it being this bad last summer. And that's the thing- it's not even summer yet so how much worse is this going to get? The staff remains nice and friendly. There has been no update in the equipment in the last year I've attended so half of it is new and half is outdated. That being said everything works well and there is something for everyone. Even when it is busy there is always equipment or space available for you to move. I've heard other members complain about the teens hanging around. While I haven't experienced that myself yet I can only pray this doesn't turn into another PF. That's why I left that gym- because parents used it as a daycare and instead of the teens working out they just hogged equipment to yap. I'll update over the summer.
