AMAZING sculpt class with a phenomenal & inspirational instructor! Community vibe was very motivating & workout was heated 95ish & challenging. I'm intermediate/advanced heated yogi so wouldn't recommend for first timers or beginners. They have other classes that are better for beginners w out weights. I noticed they have cycling too or making a cycling part. Definitely will returning when I'm back in Charleston :))

The works is a great studio with awesome teachers. I've tried both the downtown location and Pop-Up in Mt. Pleasant through Classpass for Yoga classes. I will say the downtown space is so custom down to the detail, lovely, and spacious that I prefer taking class there! As others have said, classes can get packed but it is a pretty large room. The neon phrases on the wall are empowering - "grace" and "get in the room." Dakota and Mimi are two of the teachers I've enjoyed most! Can't wait for my next stretch or vinyasa class at The Works.

SWEAT express this morning. Another ClassPass win!

Great studio. Can get packed but still fun. Definitely high intensity for many of their classes. The deep stretch classes are wonderful.

The trainers are motivating, and the community is very friendly and encouraging. It's worth noting that most of the members are women -- mainly middle-aged -- so men might feel a little outnumbered, but everyone is welcoming and focused on fitness. Overall, it's a great place to get in shape and be part of a positive, goal-oriented group!

I never in a million years would have expected to fall in love with working out, in a boot camp environment especially, but I have become obsessed with Burn. The trainer at this locations's name is Amos and he really is amazing. He is not at all what you would expect a trainer would be like at a boot camp. Amos is 100% encouraging, positive, and helpful while finding the perfect spot that pushes you to your limits. I have seen him modify these work outs for people with a wide variety of injuries so that every workout can be done by every person. Each workout every week (open 6 days a week) focuses on a different area of your body to target and is planned so that you can participate for most days even if you are sore. Burn is only 45 minutes but it is incredibly fast paced and before you know it, it's over and so is your workout time for the day! Burn focuses on the training of women but there are a few co-ed classes. They also have a free Saturday class if you are wanting to give it a try. They also offer free childcare for parents! They are usually running specials for people who want to try out Burn without fully committing such as a free two week trial as well as 8 week programs for discounted prices. Just go check this place out and see why everyone loves feeling the burn!!!!

Only qualm would be needing to check in with a staff member each visit. Room for improvement could be a card that you get for the term of your pass. Otherwise, it was seamless! There's a great turf area for stretching/any kind of free weight or circuit you'd like to throw together. Free weight area has plenty of space to always get a mirror spot. Cardio equipment is a bit on the older side but did its job. I did a good amount of running and intervals, and didn't run into any issues. I will absolutely be back when I'm in the area next! And highly recommend.

Most members don't re rack their weights and staff doesn't seem to care. Tried to cancel my membership at the front desk they told me I'd have to cancel online. So I cancelled my membership online and for 3 months hear nothing from anyone associated with O2. I recently got a phone call telling me I owed them for multiple months in unpaid dues. I explained the situation to the team member who then claimed they still needed to charge me for the month after I cancelled. When I refused the team member told me I'd be hearing from a lawyer lol ($64.99 was the charge). When I signed up it was a one year contract, when I cancelled my membership I was onto my 3rd year at the gym. This is a terribly run facility w an equally ill trained staff, stay away.

Then, transitioning through college I struggled to find what "worked". I started down this path of doing the fad workouts until I became sick of them and I no longer enjoyed it (which came way too quickly). Fast forward about 10 years, and that old way of thinking and approaching exercise is totally gone. I started with Black Flag in Jan 2020 and I'm thrilled to say I'm still going strong over a year later (pandemic and all). Through bootcamp classes and personal training with Mike, not only do I enjoy going to the gym but the workouts make it so that I never feel like I'm getting "bored" or that I wish I was doing something else... not to mention I'm the strongest, both physically and mentally, that I've ever been. Between the incredible trainers and the variety of workouts they offer, I'm happy to say I've found my forever gym.

Seriously, my workouts with Tina have included kettle bells, boxing, trampolining, TRX and working out in the park - all in one week. Just energized and unexpected workouts with a cool community of people from Park Circle and beyond. The best part - you can try it for free! Did I just say free? Yep. Every Saturday they host a free bootcamp at 10am. Come meet me out there this Saturday! (bonus prize: you can grab coffee and a scone at Evo Bakery post-workout)

I was intimidated to go at first because I had never worked with a trainer before, much less work out at a gym. My trainer, Tina, is awesome! She is very knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition. She changes up the workouts each time so that you don't get bored. She is encouraging, motivates me and actually makes the workouts fun. I used to hate working out, but now I find myself excited to go! All of the trainers there are very friendly. I like Tina because she pushes me just the right amount, without being overbearing or yelling at me. In one month I lost an inch and a half off of each thigh! 6 months later I am still going and tell everyone I know that they should try reform too! I also love that it is one-on-one training, not a big gym full of people staring at me!
