I usually frequent the West Ashley location, but it is only a few months old so it's not yet on Yelp. Emily Valentine teaches core vinyasa on Sundays, and it is always a great time! She has an amazing playlist and is always motivating and supportive. I always leave feeling like I really worked out my whole body and I am ALWAYS sore the next few days, but it's a good feeling because I know I worked hard in Emily's class! I also highly recommend their assisted deep stretch class. It's very relaxing and it feels so good to stretch and take your mind off of everything going on. The studio spaces are always clean and well taken care of. There's only been a couple times where a class was really crowded, but we always make it work!

All that could have been ok if the class had been ... enjoyable enough to do. Why did the teacher have a headpiece for screaming instructions, when there is no way the room wouldn't be covered just fine by her voice. I tried for about fifteen minutes, trying to follow her sometimes muted screaming by looking around me. I gave up and went to the front desk where they kindly said this was normal and offered me a cup of earplugs to pick from. I took them and used them for about three minutes when I gave up. The place purposefully makes it so loud that they have odes of earplugs in a cute little jar on the counter. That's just messed up. I usually do vinyasa flow, my friend does Bikram and neither of us really knew what this class was. Worst $30 one a class pass ever.

A megaformer workout is a fantastic workout anywhere you go as long as the instructor knows what s/he is doing. I'd say the classes here are up to par with classes I've taken in CA and NY, except you're paying big city prices for a short class (40 minutes instead of the usual 50-60 minutes at other studios), so the $35 price tag is very steep all things considered. The class was small and not full on a Monday morning- 5 people, including my last minute sign up in person. The teacher/owner did not focus much on form. I've taken other classes where the instructors are really good about making adjustments and watching students, even with larger groups. I had not taken a megaformer class in a year and felt she could've guided a little better (rather than expect us to just stare at other students who sometimes didn't know what was going on either). I had to complain twice about the cables on my machine being uneven (making it difficult to do symmetrical exercises) before she suggested I move to another machine; this was after she told me i might have uneven arms... I had to stare at her helplessly a few times before she helped me toward the last half of the class. So, to be fair, she did eventually come help me out. First classes are $20. If you look at the advertisements and the cards they have at the studio, your first class should be $20, but... it depends on the owner's discretion. She claims that the offer is only valid for locals, but that seems completely arbitrary, especially when the ads don't say that (see attached). None of the studios in NYC condition their first time specials on where you live. And in New York larger studios like SLT offer two classes for $36 for newcomers. When she proceeded to charge me $35 for my first session, I asked whether there were any intro offers to confirm... and she started to talk about her doing intro packages in New York where she just got back from vacation and I had to politely stop her because no, i'm talking about for me, right now, the person standing in your studio who is being charged...[insert eye roll].

The moves are meant to be done slowly so it exhausted my muscles quickly had me in the fat burning zone and that makes me so happy. I love a workout that I don't wear shoes and make me sweat. These guys are genuinely awesome -- super welcoming, passionate, and you can tell they're pouring everything into making this place special.They're in the final stretch of construction, but even mid-install it already looks incredible. The individual infrared sauna pods with those full bamboo walls, floors, and ceilings are straight-up gorgeous and feel so calming and high-end. They've got the perfect lineup: smaller pods for the 15-30 minute isometric sessions (Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Hot Iso, Thunder Row, etc.) with virtual instructors on the screens, plus the bigger HIIT saunas with the spin bikes for Hot Cycle and rowers for Hot Row. The back FX Zone is shaping up beautifully too -- kettlebells, dumbbells, and a massive premium cable crossover machine with fully adjustable swiveling arms that's going to be perfect for functional training.Everything about it screams boutique, private, zero-intimidation vibe with 24/7 access -- exactly what West Ashley has been needing. Grayson and Jay said grand opening is in about two weeks and I seriously can't wait to see it fully open and packed with members. Enter RevFit. My friend invited me along for one of their samplers (15 minutes of two classes) sometime when they first opened and since then, I have been hooked! I love the variety of classes (and timeslots) as well as the community as a whole. We have a blast (aka I do the most) while getting it DONE every single class. All of the instructors are incredibly welcoming and make a point to introduce themselves to newcomers. An excellent addition to Park Circle, for sure!

I am not an athletic person so I was very nervous when I started attending because I thought it would be "too much" for me but I was pleasantly surprised. You definitely get a workout and sweat but each of the routines allows for a low-impact version so anyone can participate and still feel accomplished. When I started there were things that I couldn't do that I now can. And friends have noticed the change in my appearance because I have more tone. There are different class options with dance, weights, and stretching to keep it interesting. And there is a variety of class times including some online which fit into my schedule. I love cycle house especially because they offer clip in shoes to borrow for free, which seems like a small thing, but it actually means a lot to me! To me it says the owners are in no way greedy, in fact they are generous as heck to be willing to pay for and maintain shoes of multiple sizes just because it's a nice thing to do for their clients. It's one reason I choose Cycle House over any other cycle studio! I also love that they have free and easy to find parking at all times of the year. Even during summer/concert season, I have been able to park. In Charleston, that's saying something! All around, everyone here is so nice, skilled, and empowering. I am so grateful for Cycle House!

Covid has caused them to have some limitations but the atmosphere at community is still warm and welcoming in these crazy times. I've grown attached to this studio and wouldn't want to be a full time student at any other studio. I attend classes 4-5 times a week and hate when I have to miss class! All the teachers are amazing I can't even name favorites. Everyone offers a personalized experience in their classes. If you're looking for a yoga studio, community is where you should be!
