Despite describing the physical manifestations of severe anxiety, including urticaria, elevated blood pressure, elevated pulse, insomnia, anorexia, and panic attacks, the office repeatedly asserted that it has a policy of not providing FMLA for "non-medical" reasons, despite Dr Batlin handling the prescription of psychotropic medication (SNRIs) for same. For clarification, I was not requesting disability or worker's comp paperwork. I only needed a doctor's note to use my own earned, banked sick leave, of which I have plenty. That's it. Just a doctor's note enabling me to use my own sick leave as an interim measure while I sought the care of a psychiatrist. Instead I was repeatedly told to just go to the ER. I don't require inpatient psychiatric hospital treatment, so this repeated insistence that I seek unnecessary and expensive treatment instead of the simple and cost-free to anyone but myself remedy of time off is completely baffling.

She has discovered issues that I would not have known I needed to treat if she had not sent me for those tests. She takes her time to listen to her patients and provides good recommendations and options for treatment. She follows up and responds quickly to any calls or inquiries, either herself or via her assistant. Yes, her schedule is booked far in advance, but for urgent issues I have always been able to see her partner, Dr. Lakowski, within a day or two. In 20 years I have never had to resort to Urgent Care in order to be seen quickly. You do need to have patience to get an initial appointment with Dr. Batlin, but if you do see her, you won't want to see another doctor.

Customer service here is also horrible. Staff is rude and unprofessional and they try to charge for anything possible. I also requested paper results and was denied them even though it is my legal right. I will now be filling a complaint with the HHS for violation of hipaa and changing doctors.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this medical office…read more My parents had an appointment scheduled for 10:15 AM. We arrived early at 10:00 AM. When we checked in, the front desk staff said they needed to check with the doctor to see if we could still be seen -- which was confusing, since we were on time. I asked if I could start filling out the paperwork while they confirmed, but they refused, saying I had to wait until they spoke with the doctor. By 10:12 AM -- just a few minutes before the scheduled time -- they came back and told me the doctor would not be able to see my parents because "there wasn't enough time." It took them over 10 minutes just to figure this out -- time that could have been used to start the paperwork or check them in. The paperwork itself was very basic -- name, address, Social Security number, and phone number -- something that could easily have been completed while waiting. There was no reason this needed to delay the appointment. The office manager, Allison, was extremely rude and unhelpful. Rather than trying to problem-solve, she kept giving excuses about being short-staffed and missing a doctor, none of which explained the mishandling of our visit. This appointment had already been rescheduled twice due to internal office issues, and now they expected my parents to wait until mid-June -- two more months -- for a new appointment. My father is on blood thinners and needed medical attention. I asked multiple times if they could meet me halfway -- process the paperwork while the doctor began initial testing, as this was a first-time patient visit that would have required labs and assessments rather than a complex evaluation. Still, Allison refused to help and only offered to reschedule for weeks later. A manager's role is to de-escalate situations and find solutions, not to block care for patients, especially elderly ones who are trying to get basic medical attention. This office badly needs better training in both customer service and patient care management. Patients deserve to be treated with basic dignity, not bureaucratic coldness.
