Her knowledge of pressure points, areas to focus on, stretching and relaxation techniques are beyond compare! I will absolutely be back and I will most definitely request her! Truly the best! My 91 year old mother in law and 70 year old sister in law also thoroughly enjoyed their massages. They both presented with their own issues of mobility and specialized needs and the staff were very accommodating, helpful and skilled when it came to their massage experience. I have been seeing Jie ever week or two for nearly 2 years. I highly recommend Jie for a massage. I've had massages from over 50 different masseuse over the past 20 years. Some good, so not. After 50 massages, Jie is by far the best masseuse I have ever experienced. She regularly checks whether she is being too hard or too soft without being bothersome. The facilities were well maintained and appeared very clean. We did a couple massage and Jie and her assistant both seemed very experienced. We asked for medium pressure and felt that it was spot on. I had some soreness and tightness in my left shoulder and right hip; Jie seemed to detect this and focused a little extra on it. I booked a full one hour deep tissue massage with cupping. Anytime I've had cupping it's been during a massage not two separate services. The deep tissue wasn't as strong as I would of liked and she didn't understand English well enough for me to explain I wanted cupping during massage or even explain an additional service I was curious about. I went in for a 90 minute massage. This was the first time Jie was not my masseuse. It was the most painful massage I've ever had. Feeling the effects today. The masseuse spent over an hour on my back, to the point it gave me a headache. The remaining time was spent massaging my head and my feet. I was expecting a full body, relaxation massage. Mehhh... I honestly don't understand the good reviews. I have had hundreds of massages over the years in multiple states and countries and this massage was not good. For starters, she her phone rang during my massage. I was shocked and thought she would immediately silence her phone and apologize. Nope! She ANSWERED her phone, spoke with a customer on the phone, and then when they got off she left the room (with the door open) and went to call another client. Then came back and didn't make up the time at the end, nor did she apologize. The massage was not Swedish; it was incredibly rough and really consisted more of digging her elbows into my back more than anything. I spent 50 minutes and on my stomach and 5-10 on my back. Absolutely AMAZING! I get massages regularly and have never experienced a massage like this. I was visiting Sanibel and have a shoulder injury that acted up. I went to see Jie and she practiced massage techniques that are unlike any other massage I've received, using acupressure and serious deep tissue. My shoulder was so much better. I was a little leery of this place upon the appearance, it's a store front that has the look of the typical give away to it being a "less than professional therapeutic" type of massage; if you get what I mean. BUT, I read the reviews and they were stellar, so I decided to give it a try. OMgoodness, the best deep tissue massage of my life, so much so I was convinced I'd have bruises all over my back etc. If you Crossfit, you most definitely need to go here while visiting Sanibel. She knew where I had some serious junk goin' on and I never said a word, she worked on those areas relentlessly. The only thing I will give a fair warning to, if you are used to Americans giving you massages is, if you are super modest, I'd keep your underwear on but bc of her professionalism I really would just relax bc she will be able to get into those glutes amazingly if you do.
