The new mechanic here, Don, is really making a difference for Jiffy Lube. The multiple times I've been to this location I have watched him take the time to show customers exactly what is happening with their vehicles. In fact, I have been one of those customers sticking my head into the engine with him while he shows me the work he's done. He is honest and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the reason he needed to come to this location is because the rest of the team is not certified to the extent Don is, so all of the mechanic questions go to him. This means that sometimes his extensive jobs run longer than expected. (Hense 4 stars instead of 5 for the shop) Overall, Don's number one concern is customer satisfaction and understanding. He knows what he's doing, does a great job, and tries to save the customer money in the process. He will be the reason I go back to Jiffy Lube if I need work done in the future. read more

Left a panel lying on the driver's side floor, instead of putting it back together before returning the vehicle to me. They said they vacuumed, but clearly did not. They left oily fingerprints all over my car. It also was an expensive oil change, comparatively speaking. I had to ask someone to put the panel back, but it still isn't seated properly. FRAUD!! Avoid at all costs. I had my buddy take my car in for an oil change and they told him my brakes were metal on metal. If he hadn't checked with me he would have paid more than $400 to have them replaced. I had the breaks replaced less than 6 months prior. I have been to numerous Jiffy Lubes in other states and I can say without a doubt, I have never seen such a slow operation in my life. After 40 minutes my car was still in line. $54 dollars to change NON SYNTHETIC oil should be more than enough for a decent quality oil change. If you want to get an oil change, especially those of you not using synthetic. DO NOT get your oil changed here. There's no reason you should EVER drop $54 on an oil change and get the lowest quality oil for non synthetic. They tried to charge $100 to get normal oil while masking it with "additional checkups." All we wanted was a simple oil change with not utter garbage oil. This location is now under new ownership. Upon arriving, the tech informs me of this fact and that is the reason that their prices have jumped. They quoted me $110 for a 5 quart oil change. I said that seems higher than before. He apologizes and says, yeah, we're under new ownership, but it includes a free vacuuming and cleaning windows. They f'd me over. Screw this jiffy lube. They charged me $80 for "european oil" when I told them exactly what I needed, which I found at auto zone for $15. They didn't even put my oil cap back on all the way which resulted in my fuel pump going out leaving me stranded. Service was absolute shit. Obviously no one there knows what they're doing. I feel like a fool for ever taking my car there. Also the numerous issues they "found" and offered to fix for absurd prices ended up being completely false. My car was having heating issues and a problem with the antifreeze, so I took it to Jiffy Lube 5 minutes before they closed--very rude on my part. The greeter came out and met me to hear me out... I popped my hood and they told me my antifreeze was frozen at the bottom of the reservoir. Just about to close for the weekend, they had me pull my car into the port to flush and add coolant. Having just cleaned up the shop and ready to go home they were happy to look at my car and very helpful to get it fixed when they easily could have said they're closed. I have been going to this jiffy lube for close to 10 years. I have always been extremely satisfied with the service. Recently I went in for my regular maintenance. Must be new ownership because everything was out place. I was told numerous tasks were preformed that weren't (air in tires, vacuumed mats etc). Worst of all, my windshield washer fluid was refilled with +32degrees fluid. It immediately froze and has been frozen for months. WHO USES SUMMER TIME WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID IN MONTANA??? Needles to say, I will be finding a new auto shop for my regular maintenance. read more

The guys were incrediably kind to my dog and me. Offered to replace washer fluids for free, were sincerely sympathetic when the issue with my car was too large for them to handle and had to refer me. I used to really like this place years ago and decided to go back....wrong choice! The heavy set man who "greeted" me at the door wasn't friendly-at ALL. He was visibly annoyed and just stared at me, didn't ask what I needed. I sensed it immediately and was short and to the point with him. He huffed off to our vehicle and barked at us to give him mileage etc off of the vehicle (his job or don't be a jerk when asking) he was so rude, in fact, that we told him due to his pissy poor attitude we would be going somewhere else. Never had to wait this long for an oil change and there was little to no line. My daughter took her car there for maintenance several times while going to MSU. She is no stranger to internal combustion engines, she is a Montana girl. The computer on her Prius said she needed to change her oil after just 2000 miles since last having it serviced at this business. She looked at her oil and it was very dirty, I mean very dirty. She called me to talk about it, I asked her to send me a picture and a video. She did, and I am convinced that they did not really change her oil that last time she went in. She said it seemed odd, last time she went there, how quickly she got thru. I told her to go back, ask them to look at the oil, and explain that she believes they did not actually change the oil when she was last in. She did and they treated her like automotive businesses usually treat women. They said there is nothing they could do. Like I said, she is not a dummy when it comes to internal combustion engines. I went to this location about less than a year ago and when I did they would go up to customer after customer and say they didn't have any oil in their car. I must have sat through three or customers being told the same thing. They worked on my car and then when I got it back they must have cleaned the floor and left the trash from my passenger floor on the passenger seat, it was so tacky and unprofessional and when I contacted them later by email I was ignored completely. I work at a place where lots of people visit and Jiffy Lube will be the very last placeI tell people about, they are terrible at what they do. DO NOT GO HERE. They nearly ruined the engine in my Honda by mixing coolants, after i even TOLD them not to fill the coolant. My Honda runs a blue non-silicate coolant, and if you add normal green (silicate) coolant to it, it turns to a gel that will ruin your radiator. I ended up having to buy a brand new radiator and flush engine by myself. I later went back and asked to speak with a manager, and the guy at the desk told me "they don't have managers." I tried to get my $60 back from them, and they would not even admit that they made a mistake. This place is run by arrogant dumb asses who don't really care about what kind of service they provide. The service was very poor. We had purchased a tire rotation with an oil change and they said they couldn't do the rotation because my car is all wheel drive. We did not get a refund for the tire rotation. In fact they made us pay extra for the oil change because my car required 5 1/2 quarts and the standard oil change only covers 5! I had my oil changed there today in my 2007 car. They were very friendly and helpful. They had a phone charging station which I thought was a nice touch! However, it cost me $80!! Just seemed a bit high for an oil change. They listed all the other fluids they checked and that they washed my windows for "free". I've been to many Jiffy Lubes in different locations and have always had good reliable courteous service. The Jiffy Lube in Bozeman is terrible. The service staff explains your options in rapid fire speech despite being the only customer in the store. Decline vacuum was written on my form, which was a lie because I never declined that service. When questioned, I was told that the vacuum was broken. Really or were they just lazy? The restroom had a sign on it that it was out of service but two staff members used the facility while I was there. My recommendation is to go somewhere else for an oil change. read more

I have given this location 4 shots at an oil change. All times I have been 1 of only 2-3 cars there. They average time it has taken is 45min-1hr! Totally ridiculous.
