How shady is this: Took my truck to get an oil change. The dude tells me that he checked the transmission fluid and that its filthy and needs to be changed. I ask him how often should it be changed? He said every 50,000-60,000 miles or so. I tell him, "then I should be fine cause I just changed it last year and I only put 8,000-10,000 miles a year on my truck". He continues telling me that he strongly recommends I change it. I tell him no, as I was starting to get annoyed. Then he tells me that my truck needs a radiator flush, needs the coolant changed, and that the coolant is extremely low... I stand there and look right at him and and say, "so you're telling me..." And repeat exactly what he just told me. He says "yes, you really need to get this done. Do you want us to take care of that today?". I say, "no... I just want you to change the oil". He comes at me again... "But you need to get this done." I preceded to let him know that I busted a hose in my truck last week. The hose was replaced, the radiator was flushed, the coolant was changed... Since that occurred I've put less than 100 miles on my truck. I look right at him again and say, "explain to me again how dirty my coolant is?". He starts fumbling around, he got real awkward real quick. I told him, "there is no other maintenance that my truck needs besides an oil change. Is there anything else you recommend?" He says.... "Uh... No." How often do these guys con customers into getting maintenance done that isn't even necessary? Bunch of crooks. I'm pissed. I will never go to this Jiffy Lube again. I went here yesterday because my Toyota Care Package expired. While the service was quick, these sharks took advantage of my naivety and ripped me off! I only came here for an oil change. They convinced me that my Camry needed a certain synthetic oil and charged me $79. They charged me separately to change the oil filter. My dad and aunt both told me separately that oil changes come with change in filter and that it should have only costed me half of what these people charged me. Unexpected charges included checking wiper blades, vacuumed floors, washed exterior windows and "additional services as needed" (lubricate chassis, transaxle fluid level, windshield washer fluid level, battery water level, tire pressure, visual check brake fluid, lights, radiator overflow reservoir). These additional services were not required and I did not ask for these. All of the things they checked were fine and they did nothing for my vehicle. In total they charged me $177.93 Bottom line, do not come here. They will swindle you if you're not careful. Poor business morals. read more

I am extremely disappointed and let down my this particular Jiffy Lube. I had my oil changed. Synthetic oil change, mind you. I noticed oil spot on my friends drive way. It was from my car, since the Jiffly is in Chino, I stayed the night. So first thing in the morning, I drove over to the Jiffy Lube, good thing it was only mile away the oil light light up! Got the Signature Service but they clearly didn't check and fill everything. I came in with my tire light on and left with it on, when that is one point they said they cover. Inshow d up 40 minutes before they closed only to be met by a grumpy employee who hastly told me that they couldn't service my car because there were only 2 techs and had 2 cars to go. Unfortunately I will not be returning here to get an oil change EVER. My regular spot was closed but I needed to get an oil change so we decided to stop here. We asked one of the guys working there named Johnny what he recommended to have put in our vehicle. He was very dry and rude when we asked him any questions. He seemed irritated the entire time and was even cussing under his breath. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but consistent with a few other reviews Johnny's customer service skills are non existent . And to top it off there was no mention of a $50 labor fee! A labor fee for roughly 15 minutes of these people's time that costs more than an entire oil change at our usual spot. I am disappointed in this establishment's customer service. I asked if that includes an oil filter and do they have one for my car in Stock. They confirmed yes however, when my wife went to pick up the car they charged additional for the oil filter. Based on Jiffy lube 2016 oil change price list a conventional oil change cost $29.99 yet they charged $37.99 + $8 for an oil filter. Rip offs and liars!!! On top of that I had a coupon for $15 off any oil change. I was told I couldn't use it as I didn't use their oil, I used mine. So I had a random day off from work and decided I might as well knock off the oil change that I was due for. I called jiffy lube to see if they were open since it was 5pm and they were. Brought my car over and David helped me out. He's very friendly. Checked my car out real quick to double check the oil it takes (I always get full synthetic no matter what) he offered me coffee, made sure I was ok with the ac, and told me I can change the tv if I wanted too. He referred to me as ma'am which I though was really polite and outstanding because even though I am 26 I look 16 and get treated like a 16year old kid most times by people. So I really liked that he treated and spoke to me as an adult and in a polite manner. Came to get an oil change, which cost about 130$ (with a coupon) and it took less than 10mins. At that moment I knew something didn't seem right. However the following day as I was driving my car it started to smell like something was on fire. Turns out the amount of oil and type of oil that was inputted was incorrect for my vehicle. I also paid extra for them to change my air filters and I still had the original ones. I had to pay extra at a different place to get my car fixed and flushed from the fluids they put in my vehicle. Even though i was the only customer there and 3 mechanics were working on my truck..... it should still have taken up to 30 minutes to completely drain out the oil from my truck. I have changed the oil filter myself over the years from previous cars i have had and exactly know that it doesn't take no 10 minutes to drain completely!! It's a little longer than that. Maybe 20 minutes the minimum. Which kind of has me wondering.... did they do a good job at it? Is there still dirty oil in there mixed with good oil? read more

Re-checking fluids a few months later the trans fluid is filthy. Go back to see Johnny T, he doesn't even know why I am there and comes out of his work area literally upset and flustered when he asked what can I help you with. Told him about the fluid being dark and he tells me they don't go by color and what do we want him to do? I said, yes color does matter. I know this from my dealership and mechanic. And to redo. He was extremely rude, so I got his supervisor's name/number. I immediately called Angel and explained all of the above. He was calm and condescending but listened and said he would talk to Johnny, he knows Johnny was having an off day because of delivery issues. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SPECIFIC JIFFY LUBE!! Took my car to get serviced for an oil change and other basic services the day of my road trip. On my road trip I noticed the vehicle wasn't running correctly. Sure enough the vehicle broke down on the road trip. Took the vehicle to my mechanic and they informed me that there was coolant leaking, which caused a spark plug to blow. Jiffy Lube "tops off" fluids (including coolant) and they were the people who serviced the vehicle the day of my road trip. AKA this Jiffy Lube location is the reason for my road trip disaster and the $400 for my mechanic to fix the blown spark plug. Side Note: I usually always go to the Chino Hills location but this one time the wait at the Chino Hills location was at least an hour (which I didn't have time for because of my road trip). My bad Experience started from them pulling my vehicle into the bay with no care of my vehicle then once they were done they sped out of the bay like they were racing. Not to mention the whole time they're working on my car you could just see absolute carelessness and then slamming my hood shut and pounding on my hood and they're already to go. My windows came in clean as can be as I keep good care of my car, when I left they had all been smeared in an attempt to "clean" them as a courtesy service. I took my car in for oil change , first impression staff was rude telling me , husband and my daughter to get the car that it was a drive through oil change. As soon as they open the hood one of them dropped something inside the engine. I could see him looking for something down in the engine , I knew they just had dropped something in and not once did they say so sorry we dropped something in your engine. They over charged me I know. Oil change and labor it said , also said that they changed my filter and they didn't. Rude ,unprofessional. I just hope nothing goes wrong with my engine. Also I asked if they had check the windshield liquid was checked he said yes. It wasn't, because I didn't see anyone of them checking on that other than just putting in the oil. As far as reputations go for businesses like jiffy lube this one doesn't help the cause. I took my brand new car here 2 days ago for the UBER inspection, the UBER personnel were very energetic and friendly but when I had my car inspected (which I bought 4 days ago) they said my breaks were really bad and it would only cost me 300. Luckily I had just bought the car so I knew I was covered under my 30 day gaureentee at the dealership. so yesterday I went to the dealership and sure enough my breaks were fine but just in case I took it to a 3rd mechanic and sure enough I have 80% of use left. Do not go here they will rob you blind and not care. I am not one to write yelp reviews but if 2 out of 3 mechanics say I'm doing well compared to one with an already shitty reputation saying mine are in desperate need of repair I had to say something. BEWARE UBER!! so UBER will send you here for inspection, the Uber rep was great!! My fairly NEW 2014 Honda Civic was turned down as a fail the tech marked as "bad Windshield", and told me I have to replace my windshield Wipers I'm pretty sure he was trying to sell me new wipers, I told him I would replace them Under my Factory Warranty Just to get rid of him!, I went to the manager and asked him why should I replace my blades if they're almost brand new? He replied that I will be representing Uber and have to replace them because the blades are causing "streak" and it's a safety Issue... Hmm so I just left and went directly to the Honda dealership service and ask them if I really had to replace the wiper blades? dealer said the streak is being caused by grime on the windshield little bit of Windex and a rag did the job! So The Jiffy Lube "tech", needs to improve his skills and the manager as well before they try to sell their stuff by the way they have a Rack full of wiper blades all sizes ready to sell!
