Waited outside of their bays for an employee to acknowledge me and direct me in. Only two employees seemed to be working, and they were both with another customer (the only other person there). They would occasionally stop and stare at me, but they never acknowledged me. I got tired of being ignored and left to get my AC recharge elsewhere. This is the second time they haven't been staffed properly to address my needs. At least the first time they had the decency to come out and tell me that it would be more than an hour's wait. read more

Courteous and timely service BUT the total price, which included a $15 coupon, was $37.45 MORE than Brittain's Express which is just down the road. $37.45! Same service, same type of oil. Crazy. Brought my 2018 vehicle in for an oil change before a long day of driving. At the end of my long day of driving my vehicle told me to check my oil level..... and guess how much oil was in my engine? ZERO! These guys solicit 5 star reviews before you even drive off so honestly right now their online ratings are very deceiving. If this problem is resolved, I'll update my review and let you know. If it's not resolved in a super timely manner ( I start a new job on Tuesday) ...well everyone in the area who owns a car will know not to use this Jiffy lube or any jiffy lube in the Chicago area. This Jiffy lube was the first and only place I ever taken my car for an oil change or any service. I have taken all the recommendations they have given me. I've been a customer since 2012. The larger services I've had done include: -High Mileage Oil Change -New Battery -New Serpentine Belt -Radiator Flush -Engine Flush The employees were always kind,friendly, and really funny. They always answered any questions I had (never made me feel like a burden), and even taught me a few things about cars. I trust these people with my car(baby) , and they have helped me take better care of it. Any service I have ever done, has made my car run even better than before. I love that crew! I have been coming here for years and never had anything but good service. I was surprised to read the only other review (as of today) was so negative. They are thorough and professional. They also don't try and sell you everything under the sun. If you do need something like an air filter or if you are due for a service other than an oil change, they are good at offering coupons. They also will send you coupons if you give them your email. Today's service was prompt and the staff was courteous and careful to explain everything. I'll be back in 3 months or 3000 miles, whichever comes first. read more

Jiffy Lube did a great, fast oil change on my SUV. The Service Manager Brian greeted me right away and was very nice, respectful and knowledgeable. I needed a new cabin air filter and he showed me how dirty mine was. It was only a couple dollars more then Walmart so I had them install it. The staff was very courteous and fast. I live down the street from here and our company has a fleet account. The last 3 times I went to this location I was due for an oil change and saw only one car in the bay, so I turn in and pull up. They told me last time that it was slow so they sent the guys home early and I would have to wait till the car that they just pulled in as arrived was complete. I told them I would try again. This time on a Saturday morning just after they opened, with one car in the bay I pulled up, they had me shut my engine off. I started surfing on my phone to see reviews here and saw only one, so I decided to write one. Other than always having to wait, the staff is very friendly and it appears they do the work on the check list, by the way, one of the guys just came up to me and said "we got you in the mud back there, don't worry we'll get you out". My vehicle still has not pulled in yet. Even though it is convenient I think I will only come here if all bays are empty or I have alot of time on my hands! Just wanted to add to my review, I didn't think it was so negative as the other stated, and, after I finished writing the original review I looked out the window and my truck was literally stuck in the mud down to the axles. They put boards under the tires and tried to get it unstuck, I wound up calling my buddy Wayne and he pulled me out with his 4X4. He appreciated the free oil change the boys from Jiffy gave him for helping them out and not having to pay out a tow truck! Too bad we didn't call him first then the bottom of my truck and the uniforms of the 2 employees wouldn't have been covered in mud. read more

I actually thought this was a pretty good Jiffy Lube. Maybe it was because, for the first time ever, there wasn't anything wrong with my car, but the oil change went well and everyone working there was very nice! I feel like at the other Jiffy Lube I've been to they try to pressure me into buying stuff and spending more, but they were cool here. The only downside was that it took longer than normal, but they apologized for it, and for the price it was worth the wait. read more

I have gotten my oil changed from them. Decent prices and they are always nice. Unfortunately, my tire has been slowly going flat over a year or so to where I have to fill it up a few times a month. Twice I have had them look at it when I was in for oil changes and twice I have had then tell me nothing is wrong. Today I have another place look at it and they find the problem!! Which was a huge nail in the tire that has been making the tire slowly leak. They are lazy and incompetent! I have been driving with this for more than a year after trusting that I had mechanics look at the problem already. I will never go back!! I will never recommend them! A car is something that needs to be properly maintained!!!! It's a matter if safety and the way they run their business is dangerous. Go somewhere else if you care about your car. read more

I've been going to this Jiffy Lube for the past few years and have always been impressed with their courteous and quick service. However, I'm constantly being told by friends and family that I should be taking my car to the dealership. So, this most recent oil change, I decided to try that. When I got there, the whole place was in complete disarray, and it was not apparent where to put my car. When I finally figured it out, I went inside and was ignored. I couldn't get anyone's attention, and I saw the line of cars being serviced was rather long to boot. So I just left and went back to Jiffy Lube. There, I could easily see where I had to go, someone came out to greet me, and the service was quick. I don't care what anyone says - I'm staying with this Jiffy Lube. I'd rather spend a little more for good, quick service than wait over an hour and get poor service. read more

They did not put the protective covering on my seat (got oil smudges on my seat and steering wheel) and did not check my lights (got pulled over 5 minutes after I left the parking lot for a bad tail light). I was highly impressed with the genuine customer service provided at this Jiffy Lube, by it's manager Brian! It was a snow blizzard last week and we had to get our tires changed in an emergency that very day. We went to the local auto shop but were told that we were missing the wheel lock key for our car and that they could not change our tires without it. We contacted this Jiffy Lube location in Elgin, where we had got the last oil change done.They could not locate the key and told us that they would have their manager call us back.Brian called shortly after and said that he was not able to find any extra keys laying around.When I explained the urgent circumstances to him, he offered to call his dealer to see if he can get his hands on the universal key for the make of my car. Not only did he shop around, but called back to say that he had found a local dealer that had the key, and that he will pick it up and come to the auto shop we were at to personally deliver it! It was a very kind gesture, but more so when it was a blizzard out! He showed exemplary kindness by empathizing with my situation and risked his own life in that horrible weather, where cars were all stuck/ skidding everywhere, to help someone in need! He not only covered the charges for the wheel lock key but made sure that I get it in time so I could go to work next day! I cannot thank Brian enough, examples like these help restore your faith in humanity! I would recommend this location without any reservations! read more

My battery died while I was eating lunch in the parking lot next-door... Asked if they could give me a jump, and free of charge they checked my battery levels, jumped my car and made sure my car was safe. Brian was very friendly and helpful and gave advice about battery replacement. These are good guys here, give them a try for car service. read more
