Got…read morethe truck back with an ignorant amount of issues, ran like crap if at all, ac draining into the cab, super cruise not working, would barely idle, steering wheel was crooked, security system failure, lane keep system failure, tail gate dropping on its own, several others. Nothing buttoned up like it should have been, missing bolts, retainer clips, screws, harness retainer clips, you name it. They fixed the ac issue, but the tccm lost communication out of range, so the truck wouldn't start, and they left me hanging with a dead truck from Friday morning until Monday morning. By the time they called me back I had already found several grounds that they left loose which was causing some of the issues. So basically I paid them $35k to give me back a pile of crap that I had to repair myself. Against my better judgement I took it back to them to put in a fuel pump and two gauges. After a week it still wasn't done, the truck didn't run at all at this point, they had no idea how to fix it, and got pissed when I told them I was going to have someone look at their wiring job when it was done. Found out later that there was another $1400 worth of parts to make the pump function at all, none of which was ever discussed. At that point they decided to walk away from the job and told me to come get it. Sent a tow truck for it and took it to another shop. After days of diagnostics to try and make it run, found out through the grape vine that ace automotive performance set my truck on fire, hid it and lied about it. Gave ace automotive performance the option to foot the bill to fix my truck and get it running, and instead of doing that they decided to waste a day going to lunch with the guy that had my truck and accomplished nothing in the way of getting my truck fixed, but did however admit to the guy that they did indeed set it on fire and then sprayed the top of my open motor with fire extinguisher. So now insurance is about to total my vehicle.

This is my family's go-to for car wash and oil changes and they've never done us wrong, although…read morethey never get everything quite perfect either. For oil changes they usually move quick, though they always have at least a short wait. They used to let you pull your car in and stay in it the whole time, but now insist on doing it for you. For car washes you sometimes have to go through twice for missed spots, but it's nice that they hand-dry here. Plus, you get a free wash with every oil change. The vacuums aren't the greatest on suction, but they are okay for a quick once over. The staff is kind of hit and miss. Sometimes friendly, sometimes not so much, but usually easygoing. Prices are about on par for similar services in town. I like that they are a good place to get everything done at once.

I brought my 1999 Mercury Mountaineer to Brandon's Auto on 04/24/2026. The vehicle is old but has been a great car and I knew if I didn't address some issues now, I wouldn't have a car to get to work soon. I am a federal employee who was greatly affected by the 80+ days of government shutdown, and I had to borrow money to get my car fixed. I had no income but was having to go to work every day, and this was my only vehicle. A family member provided a loaner car so I could continue to get to work. My husband had used Brandon's auto 20+ years ago at a different location, and Brandon himself did the work back then. It was a good and positive experience, so we decided to try Brandon's again, although now Brandon was not there, and had other mechanics doing the work. We still gave it a chance believing that Brandon would oversee a good business at least and provide quality mechanics. We met Shawna, the secretary up at the front, who was nice enough. Didn't have a problem with her, and she was the only person we communicated everything with. Never spoke to Brandon or any mechanic. (I'm going to add that there was a young girl also working there who was maybe 18-22 years old - a sullen, rude, and disrespectful young lady! I went in to pay on the car and dealt with her alone, and she absolutely irritated me with her bad attitude, not sure why she works there as she knows nothing about customer service or common courtesy. Didn't offer me a receipt after I paid, just slumped back down in her chair to continue to look at her phone and acted like an absolute BRAT when I asked for a receipt. She schlepped over to the printer sighing and acting put out and handed me the paperwork without saying a word.) If I had been satisfied with my automotive work, I would have never mentioned this. They provided a diagnosis, and we got an itemized list of what was wrong and the price for each. We opted out of some things and agreed to get some things fixed that seemed the most important such as transmission work and the front-end suspension work. This was going to be a huge amount of money for us, but we desperately needed this car to be fixed. I asked for a payment plan and Shawna said I could pay it out and would receive my vehicle once it was paid off. Fair enough for me, and I happily agreed to do that. I put 1500 down, and paid 500 two weeks later, and paid the entire balance off 1 week after that with help from friends and family (who I continue to pay off for their generous help). The total changed once after they called to let us know that the throttle body needed to be cleaned, and a new sensor connector/pigtail put in for $162.72, and we agreed to that. The grand total for everything was $3670.25. Then my husband drove the car home. Driving forward the entire time, he didn't know until he got home that the right front tire would LOCK UP when he tried to put it in reverse! When he took the tire off, there was a shiny brand-new gouge running the entire circumference of the inner rim! A similar shiny node showed the brake caliper and when he touched it, it was loose! When he inspected that, there was a bolt missing! Had this bolt been missing in another section of this brake caliper, the wheel could have either locked immediately making him not even be able to drive off of Brandons Auto parking lot...but what is worse, (and what makes me furious)...is that it could have locked while he was driving 65 mph down the high way (as we live out of town and a long drive) and it could have caused a wreck, a rollover....who knows what. But my husband's life could have been impacted by this gross negligence by Brandon's Auto mechanic. The transmission also wasn't fixed. It still revved for an extended length of time before shifting, just like before. The most important thing my husband wanted done on this vehicle didn't seem to be done successfully. I will give them credit for their work on the front-end suspension. The squeaks are gone, and we can physically see where they replaced the bushings and front suspension work. After looking under the hood, there were exposed vacuum lines that weren't hooked up or addressed. So, that shows a lack of being thorough. It was disappointing. We called Shawna immediately after getting home telling her about the bolt missing and sent pics of the gouged shiny metal on the inside rim, told her about the brake caliper being loose, same exhaust leak it had before, etc. She acted surprised and said how her mechanic wouldn't do that...while at the same time telling us that her mechanic QUIT, and they put another mechanic on the job. I would like a refund of $944.89 for the transmission work- our car behaves exactly like it did before as if nothing was repaired on the transmission at all. HUGE disappointment!

I am grateful to have been referred (and towed) to an auto shop that was willing to squeeze me in on an emergency basis, despite being busy and seemingly understaffed. The lobby and restroom were exceptionally clean, the staff was very professional and courteous, and they were kind and friendly and welcoming in person and on the phone with everyone I saw them interact with, despite being busy. They were quick to diagnose and repair the minor issue that had been caused by an incorrectly installed fuel filter, and got me and my son back on the road safely. I visited Christian Brothers Automotive in Lubbock to get a full machine flush performed on my 2016…read moreChevrolet Colorado because of a common issue known as "torque converter shudder". The original factory fluid degrades and loses friction modifiers, which causes a slipping and shuddering sensation. I went in that morning and was quoted a little over $800 for a full machine flush. I originally stated it needed fluid for the 8-speed, which was incorrect; it needed a different fluid because mine has the 6-speed. It is cheaper, although not by much. I got an invoice later that day for an inspection and "transmission fluid diagnostic" for $150. They then went on to tell me the issue was my brake rotors, when it was clearly not an issue with the brakes. The shuddering happens when accelerating and shifting into 3rd gear, especially up inclines or after making turns. They do not listen to me and dismiss my reasoning, stating their tech is a 20-year qualified Chevy tech and knows what he's doing. Clearly, he does not, because this is an extremely common, well-known issue with many of these drivetrains. They stated the transmission was fine because they checked the fluid (which they charged me $150 to do, by the way) and said it looked fine. This specific issue cannot be determined by such a test, as the fluid appears fine on a test but is broken down microscopically and contaminated. I told them very clearly I would simply like them to do a full machine flush and call it good. They agreed. Later, I got an invoice for a "transmission fluid exchange service," which is NOT a machine flush, and it only replaces around half of the old fluid. They charged me around half of what the original quote had said, which was conveniently gone. They said it was because of the different, cheaper fluid. That fluid is slightly cheaper as previously stated, but not $200 cheaper. They copy-pasted the "11.2 quarts" of fluid it needs, which is the exact capacity and retrieved from a standard maintenance bulletin, into the new invoice and charged me for it all and only replaced around half of that. I tried to politely go in and state my case but was continually dismissed and lied to. I will never take my business back to this place and would recommend everyone else do the same.
