You'll have to come back," and I said, "Do I need to make an appointment?" And he said, "No, we'll call you when we figure it out." What the fuck kind of business is this? 3 snot nosed kids running a shop? They all looked like Mid-East students. We need real adults to do work in an auto shop. The alternator died and he ended up on the side of I-70 just outside of Zaneville. And of course, it was a Saturday just after all the shops with good reviews closed at 12pm. And I'm sure you've all heard horror stories from friends/family of being in an unfamiliar area and far away from your trusty mechanic . Thankfully for us, Twin Peaks towing was the company dispatched by the insurance's roadside and they were WONDERFUL. We had them tow it to NTB only to discover they didn't have a mechanic on duty all weekend. TPT said they could get it repaired today so we decided to risk it. They towed it to the shop and it was the BEST experience we could ask for. Dakota was there (on his day off!) in 20 minutes and had a new alternator installed in less than 30 minutes. Then we were pleasantly surprised with how REASONABLE their pricing was. We were backed into a corner and they could have charged us anything they wanted, but they were completely fair and honest. Turns out Dakota just opened the shop in January and is making a go of it on his own. But according to his dad (tow truck owner), he's been tinkering with cars since he was 7 He was very knowable and we felt happy knowing we had received excellent service, and were able to help a young man in his new venture.

He said he would help me shortly. 6:52 rolls around and I walk in the shop to get some kid who decides to tell me we don't open till 7 and wouldn't help me before then. Are we joking? I already said what had happened and was trying to be patient. I got a rental because I still have a 6 hour drive left in this trip to see my family and I ask if there is anyway I could have them fix my vehicle over the weekend and come back to pick it up. I even offered to put a deposit down and his response was "Ohhh no, not till Monday. You'll have to wait for us to figure out what's going on with your tire first...." I mean is there really no way? My truck needed a new transmission, I've been doing auto repair for over 20yrs but not having the…read morefacilities or good enough health to do the transmission myself I went to these guys. Very friendly and a bit talkative but nice. Got my truck back and immediately starting having problems (less then 15miles before having it towed). I thought it was a bad transmission or transmission related issue. Called me back stating it was a slew of other engine problems that didn't exist before I dropped it off with a $1300 estimate. I passed & got an issue fixed for ($330), but It was running kind of rough. I ran a scan on it & its misfiring on cylinder 1.I had just changed the plugs, wires, rotor button, & cap 6 months prior to all of this. So this wasn't an old worn out wire. So I had a chance to look at it today. The spark plug wire to cylinder 1 was ripped off the rubber boot. I've NEVER heard of this naturally happening. I've searched online & asked other mechanics I know & its unheard of. So the mechanic shop had to have done this while they had it. Either by accident while replacing the transmission (in which case why were they way up in the front of the engine bay toward the top of the motor?) or purposely to make more money off me! I'm SO pissed right now! So now I've got to drop $60 to buy new wire set so I can fix it.

i was quoted a price for a replace struts on my vehicle i did not think it was the cause of the…read moreclunking in my front end because they were only a year old. they convinced me that was the problem. i was quoted a price of $850 i checked and it was the going rate in the area. i agreed to the repair. i was notified the repair was complete they charged me $1077.00 and supposedly did other work without permission. i still had a clunk and reviewing the changed struts they were fine. when i came and said i still have the clunk the owner said i am really sorry my mechanic mis diagnosed the problem that i needed a new suspension kit again i was quote $477 which the kit ranges between $185 and $300 with installation ranging from $200 to $300 so the quoted price was average. i pick it up and the clunk is now gone but the bill was $600 and no owner available to discuss what i was quoted i was told he would call me back and nothing shame on me for falling for it twice and believing he would make it right classic bate and switch and i fell for it. truly an awful place to go.
