I decided on City Tire based on the price of the tires. Little did I know that the aggravation that…read morefollowed would negate the price. I had to pull the wheels off for other repairs about 2 weeks after installation. The lug nuts were installed so tight I couldn't break them free even by standing on a 2 ft breaker bar with a cheater pipe slid over the handle. I took it back to let them deal with it and watched to ensure that they tightened the nuts by hand to torque specs. Fast forward to this last weekend. I pulled the wheels to rotate the tires and the lug nuts would not thread back onto the studs. They tightened the nuts so tight the first time that they either damaged the threads or stretched the studs. Well over a hundred bucks later, I had to replace all the studs and lug nuts to remount mt wheels. I'll pay 500 dollars more for tires before I ever go back to this incompetent cess pool.

What the fuck kind of business is this? 3 snot nosed kids running a shop? They all looked like Mid-East students. We need real adults to do work in an auto shop. The alternator died and he ended up on the side of I-70 just outside of Zaneville. And of course, it was a Saturday just after all the shops with good reviews closed at 12pm. And I'm sure you've all heard horror stories from friends/family of being in an unfamiliar area and far away from your trusty mechanic . Thankfully for us, Twin Peaks towing was the company dispatched by the insurance's roadside and they were WONDERFUL. We had them tow it to NTB only to discover they didn't have a mechanic on duty all weekend. TPT said they could get it repaired today so we decided to risk it. They towed it to the shop and it was the BEST experience we could ask for. Dakota was there (on his day off!) in 20 minutes and had a new alternator installed in less than 30 minutes. Then we were pleasantly surprised with how REASONABLE their pricing was. We were backed into a corner and they could have charged us anything they wanted, but they were completely fair and honest. Turns out Dakota just opened the shop in January and is making a go of it on his own. But according to his dad (tow truck owner), he's been tinkering with cars since he was 7 He was very knowable and we felt happy knowing we had received excellent service, and were able to help a young man in his new venture.

First of all, when you set up an appointment, you can request a loaner car, so that you don't need to wait there for the car, and I didn't have to miss work. I also saw a different rep ordering someone an Uber for a different customer because who didn't have appointment so there wasn't a loaner available. Secondly, I originally went in for a transmission flush. While I was at work, I got a text and email of the inspection they had done. The inspection was really easy to read, and gave me different levels of recommendations for other things that needed to be done. Some things were urgent, and some things were needed soon, but not urgent, and there were some things that were for maintenance only. On my lunch break, I called my service rep, and he was able to talk me through all of the things on the report, and explain things to me, because I am pretty illiterate when it comes to cars. I ended up also getting my drive belt replaced as well. But my rep made sure to let me know what the price would before I decided to go through with it. At the end of my work day, I drove my loaner car back to Luke's and picked my car up, and was on my way. Overall, the inspection report, and the loaner car I think is what really separates Luke's from the rest. When I've taken my car to get an oil change or the tires replaced at other places, i've always had to wait in the lobby and its a waste of time. I lost no time with Luke's and knew exactly what was happening to my car. Take your car to Luke's if you want incredible service.

I recently had the water pump replaced on my vehicle at Luke's Auto Shop. Unfortunately, shortly…read moreafter the repair, I discovered that a coolant hose clamp associated with the water pump had been left improperly installed. This caused coolant to leak into the engine bay and could have led to much more serious engine damage if it hadn't been caught quickly. A mistake like this is concerning because the cooling system is a critical component, and something as basic as verifying that all hose clamps are properly secured should be part of every final inspection before a vehicle is returned to the customer. That said, I also believe it's important to recognize when a business makes a genuine effort to address a problem. Once the issue was brought to the shop's attention, the service manager handled the situation professionally. While the original workmanship issue should not have occurred, he did what he could to make the situation right by listening to my concerns, arranging for the vehicle to be checked over, and working to restore my confidence in the repair. No repair shop is immune to mistakes, but how those mistakes are handled matters. In this case, the initial repair fell short of the standard I expected, but the service manager's professionalism and willingness to stand behind the work improved what could have been a much worse experience. Overall, I hope the shop strengthens its quality-control procedures to ensure critical items like coolant hose connections are verified before vehicles leave the shop. If they do, I believe they can provide a much more consistently positive customer experience.
