First trip of the spring season
Amy C.

Jiggs has been one of my favorite places to shop since I was young. I enjoyed walking into a sea of color and being overwhelmed with beautiful flowers and plants. I also loved helping my mom plant begonias, impatiens, and geraniums at my childhood home. Being an adult now, I have been able to beautify my own yard for 14 years now with the best flowers in town! Each year, my mom and I have an annual flower shopping day to celebrate Mother's Day, and those flowers thrive until at least mid November. All of the staff at Jiggs are always so helpful and amazing. I've had people bring me carts, offer help to my car, suggest plant combinations to help me benefit from sales, and give me the best advice for my flowers. I often find myself telling strangers to go to Jiggs when I see them browsing grocery store plants! The produce, hay bales, corn stalks, mums, trees, and wreaths are also off season reasons why Jiggs is my go-to spot for beautifying my home! If you haven't shopped here yet, make the stop and you won't be sorry, better yet- make it a tradition like I do!

This is a great store. We stopped in here to get some plants and some bushes and things and they had plenty full amount and it was very nicely priced. They had a very large selection which I enjoyed and I bought many different fruit and vegetable plants for my garden.

This is an absolute hidden gem. I stopped in a week ago for pansies and after seeing how amazing…read moretheir flowers were, I knew this is where I'd be getting the rest of my flowers for the season. There are multiple greenhouses on the property. I came in with a plan of what I needed and of course, ended up leaving with more. From speaking with the owner (Steve) and Mel (who may be the manager?), I learned that they have plans for expansion and they hand grow most, if not all, of their flowers and plants. I haven't seen flowers this beautiful at any of the other big box stores around. All of the employees have been friendly and have had great recommendations for me. I'm trying a few new flowers this year because of these recommendations. I look forward to their expansion/move and will continue to shop here for my landscaping needs.

I, like many, am doing a lot of gardening while staying "healthy at home" and this is just what I needed. Plants were competitively priced, typically based on size of pot and if perennial or annual. A lot of plants are unmarked and not priced but there were MANY employees around the greenhouses to help answers questions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There are wagons to carry plants and the staff will assist in taking them to your car. They have trees, shrubs, tropical plants, succulents, traditional annuals, unique perennials, soil, fertilizer. They accept cards but everything is hand calculated. The place is family run and give it a charming experience. The location is slightly tucked away, gravel lot parking, some odds and ends all over but a completely enjoyable place and experience. I will definitely be going again.

We have gotten several trees and bushes from them over the years and have been pleased with our purchases. Customer service is top notch and professionalism is A1 if you choose for them to come out and plant your selections. When they planted our trees they did a very good and clean job. Everything is hand dug, so no machinery going through your yard tearing up grass. We have also found that their prices are less then or equivalent to the big box stores and they seem to offer a better product also. We have even sat down with the owner Burl, showed him pictures of our blank landscaping and he recommended the best options for us. Something you just don't get at the big box stores. And if you bring the kids they will stay entertained with all the friendly cats that run around there. This place is great !!!!! Stop by for a visit, I think you'll be glad you did !!!

After always hearing great things about Menards from my boss in Chicago, I was excited when Menards…read morecame to Louisville. Almost everything we needed for our operations, this boss would say, "Go to Menards and pick it up." Up until this point I have been very please with the local store in Louisville as it is always neat, clean, and organized making it easy to find what one needs. Typically they have about all you need for a project. Recently while working on a project I needed an additional gallon of primer which I had been getting tinted. I asked my wife to go by Menards and pick it up. When she arrived back, the primer which she had placed in the passenger side floorboard had spilled out the top from the top not being put back on well from when associate tinted. We were able to clean most all the paint up as we have weather tech type mats. However, some of the paint got over on carpet on side of floor board and on the plastic molding on side of door. We were not able to get all this off. I attempted to contact local management night of issue, but their phones were turned off at 9:40 PM, even though they close at 10:00 PM. I spoke with Tyler the next day and explained situation. He seemed very helpful. The next thing I learned was claim had been turned over to a 3rd party Gallagher Bassett who handles claims for companies including Workman's Comp claim for companies. Victor Gallagher Bassett's manager who Menards seems to totally rely on for these processes has been evasive, unprofessional and of no help at all. A very sarcastic and nasty individual. This could have been handled as a customer service issue as it would not be a large claim. It would probably be less than the cost of most of my visits to Menards. However, Menards has chose to push their loyal customer off to a 3rd party and disregard their legitimate claim/issue. After calling store to update today, Victor once again called me to say their position stands because they can't verify what happened in my wife's car. I can tell you she didn't open can and pour it out in the floor of her car. It didn't fall out of seat. It was placed in floorboard for the ride home. This would not have spilled out edge of paint can, had associate not left lid unsealed. Menards is apparentlty so big, the individual lost in this process doesn't matter. I hope your interaction and doing business goes well with Menards. When it does, they are a great place to do business. However, if you have an issue like this, be ready to be pushed aside to a strong are legal claims handling company like Gallagher Bassett.

As doing so the AP of the store comes running out put his chest in my shoulder and screams very loudly handed over. I was baffled and said what and what over he said the flashlight you Thief ..not to mention I do this line of work for a living Also Serve my country for 22 years being a thief is not one.. pulled me into this room and continues to call me a thief cause my wife a thief and told me I do not go to church because if I did I wouldn't be a thief first off you don't bring in my religion because you know nothing about me you just think I stole a $3 flashlight which was not even the case. I clearly forgot the flashlight was clipped on the outside of my pants.. this guy is unreal and will I will not be back not to mention the manager could not even get a word in edgewise cuz this guy was overreacting over a $3 flashlight.. very embarrassing and unreal shame on you Menards for letting this happen and letting this guy accuse people.
