I have never experienced such disrespect and disgusting behavior from a business. The husband and wife at Jiles Cleaners constantly raise their voice and belittle you. I came in two weeks ago to drop off three white button down blouses, expecting that the service would be nice since given a simple task to starch and press my white button down blouse. I was asked to prepay and gladly did in trust that the service will be done correctly. When picked up my items after several days I noticed the task was incomplete upon arrival at home. I returned later that week to ask them to fix the mistakes. As I was in the store asking them to press the shirts there was a customer behind me waiting. The husband then goes to the gentleman behind me and begins talking about me(in my face) to the man behind me yelling "SHE DONT UNDERSTAND" twirling his finger towards his head in a circular motion implying I'm stupid. I then waited to see how long this man will continue to disrespect me. He then stopped and came back to me asking " SO WHAT? WHAT DO YOU WANT ?" Yelling might I add. I asked him to please lower your voice, I do not understand why you are still yelling at me. After I said that, I stated what it was that I wanted which was to simply press my sleeves. The job was terrible and the service was something sickening I cannot describe. I felt so much animosity and hatred! That experience was very triggering and traumatic! Since starting to come to Jiles, I learned the previous cleaners I went to were overcharging me. I have never once had a bad experience with this business. My clothes are always ready when they say they will be and never had a stain or any discrepancies with my items. In fact, for being a loyal customer, I get discounts every visit! No, they do not give you southern hospitality like we are all used to but they ALWAYS greet me with a smile & remember me and my family. I had to most discourteous treatment there. I had been using them for years. 4 years back I dropped off a large seasonal order of sweaters. It wasn't until a few weeks when I finally went to wear one that I discovered a small whole in the elbow. I went back and they accused me of tearing it and I showed them that it was still creased never worn with the dry cleaning tag still attached. The wife quickly sewed it up & we continued business for a few years. The last time I went to drop off a suite the wife demanded I pay at drop off since we aren't frequent customers. I paid using my debit card. Then she began asking me if I remembered the sweater situation. Confused I asked why. She kept insisting that I must remember the sweater incident. So I inquired if she was asking me to leave or refusing my business. I found it quite strange she started shouting at me that I gave her a big headache. So kindly I offered to take my business elsewhere and asked for my money back. By this time the husband came up and asked what was happening. I explained his wifes poor treatment and he too confused scolded her in his language. By her body language she was saying she didn't care waving her hands at me like a piece of trash. I kindly requested a refund and they refused! They seized my suite and dictated that I pick up Tuesday! Appalled I informed them that I would not do business with a place that treated me so poorly for absolutely no reason. It was as if the wife had been holding this grudge for years and took the opportunity while her husband was busy in the back to verbally attack me. They claimed they didn't know how to do credit card returns and walked off to the back. My husband then came in from the car wondering what was taking so long. It was upon his stern demand for the refund that the wife took cash from her register and returned the funds. As I am leaving she shouts behind me NEVER COME BACK!!!! This was the most bizarre episode ever especially because it was unprovoked and definitely unexpected. I have no idea what makes business owners abandon customer service however I would strongly caution against using their services. read more

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I will leave an honest one. My clothes were transferred to this cleaners because mine (Esquire) closed. I took 2 twin comforters to be washed. Was charged $25 each, and they wanted me to prepay. I told them I don't ever prepay. Went to pick up the comforters today, a Saturday, and no one was there. Just a temp sign posted saying, 'Sorry be back at 11'. I was not happy, Saturday has to be one of their busiest days. I waited 30 min for them to show up. They arrive; why couldn't one of them have stayed to run the place? I pick up my order and give them my card. I ask how much to clean an additional comforter, she replies and promptly charges it on my card. Forcing me to prepay. I was livid, and she acts as if she doesn't understand. That is it for me. I went to cleaners and as soon as I went inside I noticed instantly the energy was off. I was greeted by a lady who looked scared of me and my son, and over questioned us. She assumed we were looking for a discount and thought I was another black man she might've had a negative experience with. When the other man came in he only reiterated her fears of me and my son and judged us based on our skin color. Owners were extremely rude! We do not use a dry cleaner very often, the last time we took something in the owner kept saying over and over you haven't been here for a year. I happen to loose the ticket, when I went in, the female cut me off and shouted NO to me. I waited until the man was done with another customer and asked if I gave him my ID if they could look it up in the computer- after begging - he finally got my shirt. A family I worked for, went here for years. They never had any problems with the couple or quality of service. They're exceptionally picky about their clothing and linens and wouldn't trust anyone else with them. They're the hardest working people I've ever seen. They are not the cheapest, but I see Kennesaw Police Dept likes their services. And if You're a new customer, don't take exception to paying up front. They probably lose alot of time and money cleaning things that never get picked up. You try starting a business in China when you don't know the language. We have been customers for about 4 years after leaving another dry cleaner that sold out(service dropped after that) First, we live in AMERICA. We have people of all nationalities who live, work, and own businesses here. Not everyone speaks crystal clear English but that is ok. We have some issues understanding everything that they say but we just politely ask them to repeat it. It's never been a huge issue for us and we communicate our needs and they understand us just fine. They even remember that my son's clothes get no starch but my husbands do get starch. I have NEVER experienced any rudeness from either the husband or his wife(owners) They always smile and say hello to us AND our three boys when they are with us. They always offer them lollipops and ask about them when they aren't with us. We did have an issue when we first started going there because we did forget our pink slip when we went to pick up our dry cleaning but he never held our clothes or refused to give them to us. They are trying to do the right thing by requesting the ticket because imagine if they didn't and gave your clothes to someone else because they simply said a certain article of clothing belonged to them. So yes they can be sticklers about that but it's not a huge deal and it is certainly nothing to get upset over. Now that they know us(use them weekly) they know our phone number by heart and they don't need our ticket anymore. Overall they do an amazing job. They are polite. This place is pathetic! The first thing that happened when I brought my pants in was get berated after I gave my phone number for not patronizing them for 2 years! Then I asked them if they could do an alteration which they said they could but were visibly angry that I only had the one article on the counter! I went out to car to bring in 2 ties and a shirt as well. She then said, You pay now"! I said, "No I pay when I pick up to ensure the work was done correctly"! I have never paid upfront! Incidentally, not that it should matter but I was not disheveled or looked like a person who would have trouble paying or had a history of not paying this merchant! So I picked up my items and went up the street on the corner of 41 and Kennesaw Due West to the cleaners at that location! I am very sorry to have to post this warning. I paid $50 for a down blanket and special quilt to be washed. I had no idea there would be fragrance added to the detergent. It will be used by those with allergies to strong fragrance, so after trying to air them out unsuccessfully, I brought them back asking if they would re-wash them and I would provide the unscented detergent. They were angry with me. I have never been treated so badly before. The owners kept saying over and over, that noone else has ever complained. Therefore they refused to understand allergy issues. I kept trying to say that I had already spent my money and even though I did not bring the issue up to begin with, I was asking for a re-wash this one time as the items were unusable. They kept getting angrier and angrier, as if I was a criminal. My husband and I were so shocked at the absolute uncaring and insensitive attitude. There was NO appreciation for our business, or effort to have us stay a customer. They acted like they hoped I would never come back. So I won't. read more
