He wouldn't let me talk long enough to even tell him my symptoms or what prior tests I'd had. He launched instead into a bizarre physical exam--I was there for a neurogenic cough, and he examined my feet in detail but didn't listen to me cough before pronouncing that he didn't think I had a neurogenic cough and therefore wouldn't treat me for it. He wouldn't answer any questions. The real fun came at checkout. I didn't know until then that he had ordered an MRI for me. Why would you order an MRI for someone who has a chronic cough? I have no idea. He'd also ordered a huge list of bloodwork. I didn't go to the MRI or go get bloodwork. I got a referral to Dr. Cramer, who is much, much, much, more professional and didn't try to make me have an MRI. When I told my therapist about this experience, she said I was far from alone and had had many clients who'd seen him and had similarly awful experiences. And yes, because I have Medicare, I still had to pay through the nose for this quackery.
