There were other beginners in a class of about 10 so that immediately made it less intimidating. Classes are $20 each and they have an unlimited option for between $100 & $115 per month. The salsa taught here is not ballroom, it's for salsa club dancing and it's taught on 2, as opposed to 1 for those who are familiar with dance terminology. There are beginner classes on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7 and 12 pm on Saturdays. I am told that one night they even go to a salsa club to test out moves. Overall it was a very warm and inviting experience. After teaching you the steps on your own they even conduct part of the class paired up which makes things interesting. If you're looking to learn how to dance salsa for fun or a different way to get some exercise and are in or close to the New Haven area, I would highly recommend checking out Rumberos.

The instructors are a lot of fun; they creatively teach the subtle technicalities that make a big difference. I've witnessed beginners transform to great salsa dancers from coming here. After classes, the best way to improve is to get out on the dance floor! The salsa scene in New Haven is great with a diverse crowd, not to mention friendly and smiling faces. Polefly is essentially where I fell in love with the art of pole and Jess has set a standard for instruction that I've looked for in every studio I've attended since. She is highly technical and understands the mechanics of the body in a way that makes you feel really safe while you practice here. Poling can be scary but I never felt worried about injury at Polefly because Jess is very thoughtful and careful, she plans the lessons around you and your body, meeting you where you're at while still challenging you to try your best and push yourself a little more each time. Despite all of her extensive experience and technical prowess, Jess never makes you feel less than. So much of poling is as much mental as it is physical, and this space always feels and felt safe, supportive, and affirming. I grew so much here and I am so sad there are so many miles between me and this lovely space these days and always look forward to my next visit back. Thank you, Jess, for everything you do to make this space wonderful. Also: get here early, people. Sometimes the walk up the stairs is long.

Our group is very uncoordinated but we still had a really great time learning some moves and getting some exercise. The studio is clean and kept up well and Jess is a great and encouraging instructor and doesn't make you feel like an idiot (even if you know you're looking like one!). I can't speak to the normal classes here but would highly recommend booking a private event for a special birthday surprise or bachelorette weekend!

When I started, I could barely utter a "merci" but left knowing how to conjugate several verbs and speak in the future tense, not to mention conquer what had once eluded me - mastering the French accent. My brother, who'd lived in Paris, complimented me on how my skills had grown over the course of my studies. And all of that was attributable to my masterful teacher Florent, buttressed by the tranquil and professional setting that is Aux Trois Pommes. I hope I can return and become fluent -- I'm now an Intermediate level speaker and writer, yah! -- and then my life will be complete.

They have lots of tables for four or five people. You just drop in and they have a large amount of different ceramics that you can pick to paint. The price is on it. It's a flat rate whatever the price is that's all you pay. You take home your work the same day as the glaze is a no fire glaze. We were able to bring food and snacks and drinks and enjoyed our time together. They also have adult and child painting classes. I would definitely recommend coming by. They have different things for different holidays. It seems like it would be such a cute date idea maybe Valentine's Day or even just a girl's night out. It was my first time doing something like this and I lobed it!
