I really enjoyed the auction in Wickenburg AZ on 3/29/2025…read moreYvette is very professional and easy to work with. Her whole staff is very friendly and helpful.I think it is the best auction I have attended. The auctioneers were great. I purchased alot of amazing car parts, and memorabilia the staff was right there to help my husband and I loading. We came back the second day to finish picking up and they were right there to help again. I hope I will be able to attend there auctions again in the future!

My husband and I drove to Texas for a separate event that happened to be occurring during the same week as the auction. Not knowing whether or not we would be winning anything or not we opted to bring cash. Mind you I read all of the auction descriptions that clearly stated how you could pay for your winnings. ALL of them said option 2. CASH. Once we won the five vehicles, we were told cash was not an option. We attempted to speak with Yvette to figure out how we could work it out since we were already in Texas without a bank, we were a member of in the entire state. Yvette was VERY rude, condescending, and unprofessional. It was quite honestly astounding how unprofessional she proceeded to be in the days ahead. All she wanted to do was argue that the ad did not read cash. Which was a moot point at this stage of game. (SHE WAS HOWEVER WRONG AND EMAILED LATER SAYING SO) but continued to be rude. We owed payment within 72 hours. I realized soon i could not have an intelligent professional conversation with Yvette so I opted for email. I told Yvette her money would be wired the next morning first thing with the assistance of someone back home that could help me out so we could be done with the whole matter. She then proceeded to email me back the following: Yvette VanDerBrink Fri, Jun 21, 9:44AM (7 days ago) to 20martinezk, bcc: me Hi, Your Credit Card does not work for your purchases and your phone number doesn't either. I need payment for your GMC auction purchases. This needs to be taken care of. This is an elderly man's collection that is not well. WE need to get this resolved n paid for. YOU CAN NOT PAY ON SITE! I need to know how and when you are paying. This was due in 72 hours of winning the bid. Please call me, Yvette VanDerBrink VanDerBrink Auctions, LLC Mind you it hadn't been 72 hours! I told her I would be sending a wire transfer! We never once said we were paying on site. I found this whole thing to be not only concerning since I just told her how I was paying and when, but also insulting considering she was accusing us of not caring about an elderly man. It was also comical she said my telephone did not work, considering we had spoken several times the day before. We also asked for the sellers contact information since we were already in Texas (We live in Ohio) so that we could set up an arrangement to get our vehicles. She proceeded to refuse to give us his contact information on several occasions wanting us to go through her while is also in another state. Knowing this was not an option with such a difficult unprofessional person, I decided to find him ourselves and figure out situation out. We found the seller and had a great conversation with him! We were a wonderful man that by the way said he would have been happy to accept cash! He also continued to tell us how Yvette had been nothing but difficult with him as well. We spend several days getting some of our vehicles with the seller right by our side and even gracing us with lunch and water. We got to know the seller quite well in the few days and he even made the drive to Fort Worth with his wife to watch my daughter perform at the Will Rogers Coliseum. We plan to be in Texas again soon for the rest of our items and look forward to working with the seller directly. In the end I would highly discourage anyone from retaining VanDerBrink auctions for any of your auction needs. She is working for herself only. She will be rude to the people bidding and purchasing your belongings. She is unprofessional, rude and downright nasty to deal with.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP…read more When I first test drove the car, the check engine light was already on. Their mechanic did not know how to use the diagnostic tool, brushed me off, and later told me vaguely it was "just a sensor" that would be fixed. I asked for documentation such as a service slip or a photo of the dashboard once it was repaired, but I never received anything. On the day of the sale they told me over the phone the light was off, but when I drove off the lot it was still on. I was in a hurry and they knew it. They stalled me, rushed me through the paperwork, and took advantage of the situation. This dealership buys cheap cars at auction, acts overly nice to gain trust, then sells them for high prices while hiding problems. They are too cheap to fix the cars themselves because that would cut into their profit. Instead, they leave the issues and want you or the warranty company to pay for repairs. When I contacted them after the sale, they told me to just bring it back since it was "covered by warranty," but that misses the point. A car with a check engine light on should not be sold in the first place, and a professional dealer would have offered goodwill repair instead of pushing it off. I also had the car checked out by another mechanic who said the tires were so worn down they should have been replaced before the car was sold. They did not even bother to remove an old State Farm tracking device that was still stuck on the windshield from the previous owner. That shows exactly how little effort goes into these cars before they sell them. The overall rating is misleading because it mixes in their auto shop. If you look only at the dealer reviews, you will see the same story repeated: check engine lights, blown engines, hidden rust, false advertising, excuses, and cars breaking down right after purchase. My experience was not unique. It was just the next one in the pattern. If they are willing to sell a car with the check engine light glowing, unsafe tires, and a mechanic who could not even use the diagnostic tool, that tells you everything. Fake smiles. Fake promises. No accountability. Save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.

If you feel like testing the fates and buying a vehicle here, make sure you bring your tools or take it to a mechanic to take the damn engine apart. They said there was nothing wrong with the Vue. CLEARLY they did not inspect it at all after purchasing it from an auction. In fact, this car had been to auction 3 times and I failed to do a VIN search to find that out until it was too late. My husband, who's stepdad was a mechanic and knows enough about cars himself, checked out the car and test drove it. What we didn't do was have the engine completely inspected. There were no codes or check engine light to alert us that anything was wrong, and we soon figured out it was because they had erased the codes prior to the sale. Not even 20 minutes after we left the dealership, the dashboard lit up. I should've just taken it back then and saved myself $2400. The timing chain had to be replaced along with some other stuff and our mechanic discovered the oil was caked on the inside of the engine in a way that suggested severe neglect. The owner was difficult to deal with and never once talked to us directly. They said we could trade it in and pay the difference or pay for repairs at a discount. As you can see from other reviews, Berg's prices are ridiculous and frankly they were so shady and dishonest with us that we didn't feel like giving them any more of our money. We got a friend of a friend discount with a mechanic nearby, otherwise we would've been out of a lot more money on this piece of junk. I worked 90 hours of overtime over 5 months to pay for these repairs. Just know that if you go here, you're almost certainly buying an auction car and the codes will have been cleared as well as any other rig job to make it look nice.
