Amazing food and attentive servers make this place my go-to for BBQ . I wasn't sure about the fast casual, but it works. The servers were always ready to keep our drink full. Lee even got us cheese biscuits with honey butter to go! She was amazing. There are a lot of BBQ places, but Jim-n-Nicks only has Lee. She let us know that we didn't have to wait in the line. We went to the bar! Full service! After waiting for almost 20min, she was there. Can't imagine a better server than Lee . Jimnnicks isn't like I remember, but we got an amazing server. I've come here a few times. I love how they can accommodate large parties. We were a group of 15 and they didn't miss a beat. All the staff was attentive and kept our orders right. Awesome BBQ spot! They give a basket of free cheese biscuits (you can get more too) which are DELICIOUS! Highly recommend them with butter and a little bit of their bbq sauce on top. My sister and I both loved their peach lemonade too, very refreshing! I ordered a bowl of their chili and a side of baked beans. My husband tried their Carolina-style pork sandwich. Loved my meal, it was sweater weather when we went so my dish along with the cheese biscuits was a nice cozy vibe. And very filling, surprisingly. Unfortunately our waitress said she was triple sat and it appeared she was also the bartender for the day so she was running around and thus our service was a bit lacking. It took a while for us to get our bill and we saw her just chatting with a customer at the bar. Was almost tempted to go up front and pay at that point if it was an option. On 5/3/25 around 7 PM, I was passing through Murfreesboro wanting a BBQ sandwich, and instead I got rude, impatient service from a teenage employee with zero customer service skills. I was polite, patient, and spending my hard-earned money, so basic respect shouldn't have been too much to ask. The food was trash, the service was worse, and management was completely useless when I called. They did absolutely nothing. Clearly they don't care how customers are treated. I should've known then what kind of place this was. If you like being disrespected and wasting your money, this is your spot. They came out quickly along with some bread. My husband decided on huge baked potato with brisket and I had 1lb ribs with potato salad and collard greens. The food came out hot and quick with good portions and lots of flavor. The ribs were meaty, moist and meat just came right off and the sauce that came with it was really good also. Friday night was very busy. We were seated immediately, but had to wait quite a bit for service. What made this a great experience was how the manager, Emma recognized our wait. Recommended by staff at the hotel where we were staying. Called twice to verify if restaurant allowed pets. Male staff said allowed if we dined in the patio. Went there on a Sunday night (9/6/2020) @ 5:30. When we arrived and my husband spoke to the staff, we were told pets not allowed because they were too busy and no staff to accommodate seating in the patio area. Mind you, Yelp indicated less than a 5 minute wait and hardly anyone in the restaurant at this time. We were finally seated in the patio area after my husband told them we called twice to verify that pets were allowed. Curious as more customers were seated in the patio after us and they had two waiters assigned in this area. Guess they did have staff. Sadly disappointed. First, it was early Sunday evening and for a BBQ restaurant, they ran out of ribs, so we had to substitute, which we had to pay extra. Second, the waiter served the wrong beer to my husband. He was honest enough to inform us and did offer to serve the right beer. Third, although the pulled pork was very good, my substitute smoked meat, chicken was too salty, as were the collard greens.
