When I insisted we met to clarify, his price was $1000 more than the original price and it became clear the scope of work he had in mind did not align with my expectations. George said he would call me back that evening after looking at the numbers to see if he could do better. He did not ever call. The next day, when I decided to hold off due to budget concerns, I communicated this respectfully. (I never signed any contract) In response, I received a series of unprofessional and harassing messages from George, the owner, (at 4:30 am!) including insults (calling me stupid several times) and inappropriate language. The movers removed the feet and bottom wooden piece, without asking, then walked away without putting it back together. Colin came, took the feet and wood, rebuilt the broken feet, removed wood glue from many years past and rebuilt the cabinet. Once the feet were cleaned up and reattached the bottom wood piece, he came back and reattached everything to the china cabinet. It is now more solid than it had been in over fifty years. This piece has been in our family for three generations and I am so thrilled to have it back in its full beauty again.
