Greenleaf Lanscapes. Legal name is Grant Cox Enterprises GCE..but branding as…read moreGreenleaf.http://gcelandscapes.com/ Big Ripples from their work - wasted money, wasted time, stress, and mistake along with poor management. Disorganized and even no show on Install day Don't bill according to agreed quotes & communication 1. Unprofessional Owners 2. Second visit the owner arrived with alcohol on his breath which frankly if the work was fine, i would not have mentioned. 3. During irrigation audit: a. NOT LISTEN. Even his assistant was seeing this and put between a rock and hard place. Grant could not listen to our input on how our soil and heavy rock shale impacts irrigation. b. Wrong assessment He moved a big pot and damaged it, freaking out during it when they left an irrigation zone on too long and thus the pot had a lot of water under it. he didn't believe it and said "you have a subsurface leak and call Leak Detection immediately." I had to drop everything and i was not convinced. He had me contacting pool contractor (we have had the property for some years now & would have known if leak under the concrete), had my gardener running around wasting time, me making calls to pool company and pool service provider. it wasted 45 minutes for their mistake and they charged me for this time. Additionally, it was quite stressful with subterranean leaks& the high water rates/doomsday scenario painted. Disrupted other people and companies. Thank goodness i did not have leak detection come as that could have been up to $1000 extra. c. Not methodical and didn't finish the audit. It all fell apart. Grant said he would not bill for his hours & wanted to send his new specialist alone, even though they would have benefited from our system location. Guess what?! They billed for that time ALL of it, including the mistake wasted 45 minutes. I was leaving town & paid it immediately but thought it was for the irrigation work from a separate visit but nope was just a surprise charge opposite what we were told and we got NOTHING out of it but stress, lost time and lost $ . My billable rate is high but I couldn't work while chasing around his imaginary emergencies on site. 4. Work Communication with Quotes: One liner and NO info on how they plant and was annoyed when you ask what is your 4. method. The method is the key to success.. The line item didn't even confirm the cost was for the plant material & installed. 5. NO SHOW on install day. NO notice re reschedule. 6. Damages: A. When they did the planting of the little ollies hedge, they broke all of the bulbs in solar lights and during what was to be an irrigation audit (see point c), pulled up two of my myoporium flats saying look bad due to irrigation but they were just not as established as the rest as they were Nearly NEW and others were established Then when they came to do the little ollies (10) hedge & Bart offered to replace the damage two myoporiums by Grant with one 1 gallon , i said fine but just bring me a few extra flats if easy and if not easy don't..i would cover their cost as they sourced from the original nursery i got them from. Instead they charged me a TRIP Charge (not ever mentioned and see i said don't bother if not easy,. they were already there for the little ollies and the myoporium they messed up!) They made a mistake, caused damages and had a chance to go a little extra by grabbing the other two flats ($12-$14 a piece; I stated I would pay at cost or if not then leave it); Frankly if it was my company I would have covered that showing remorse for the stupid grabbing/unplanting. Who does that?!? 7. Excessive surprise charges Example- we informed them multiple times of our poor soil (and provided reports). To ensure successful planting, a mix with some 420 or something like that. When asking what they did for drainage and suggesting cactus mix at bottom, which they should have done as protocol esp given the wall and our soill. Due to vague quote and wanted to be sure all on same page re install to ensure mutual success. They agreed to use my materials as little or as much as needed: I had 4 bags of 420 &4 organic cactus mix. INSTEAD brought one bag of each and then charged massive surge charge (though they said they would use mine) & then that little extra amount of displaced native soil - they then billed me for excavating & hauling but they actually dumped it in my yard! They even asked to dump it and i said yes. There was no extra excavation. I have photos. It was basic just as one would for successful planting. 8. They originally ordered 10 little ollies -not the landscaping rule of odd number 9.Grants wife is the bookkeeper and then they say she is the driver on the overbill . IT WAS more than DOUBLE what was agreed because of two bags of soil, one more ollie, two flats of myoporium.(they damaged) While they did get us a quote quickly it was so flimsy and clearly wasn't worth the paper it was written on.

I am delighted with the repairs and improvements that Jorge Cortez and his team made to my ancient…read moredrip irrigation system. He found the ultimate cause of a significant leak (a valve stuck open in a hard-to-get-to controller under my back deck) and manually shut it off while he ordered a replacement. His team replaced several drip nozzles with micro-sprinklers, and swapped out some badly deteriorated lines for new ones. Everyone was friendly and super-efficient. At the end, Jorge returned to inspect everything (correcting a couple of very minor flaws) before declaring the job finished. All the work came with a one-year warranty. I wish we had a world where everyone had Jorge's attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

Their pricing was incredibly fair and the team did a great job while being highly efficient. Afterwards, I realized there were a couple of our existing plants that could do with a transplant once. We asked Jorge if he could help and he had his team out the next business day to complete the request at zero extra cost. Would easily recommend him and they team to anyone. P.S. The bad reviews here clearly say more about the person behind the review than they do about SB Evolution
