The prices are very reasonable. The smell of jasmine hits you as soon as you're in the parking lot. It's so pleasant and inviting. I really enjoyed walking through the garden. Each area is filled with whimsical ceramics, and running fountains that bring tranquility. This place has everything you need to start gardening. I especially enjoyed walking through the store. It has lots of cute trinkets to add to your plant collection or home decor. Overall, a beautiful place to check out. Looking forward to building my sacred space garden shopping here.

Living here in Goleta I did not know of Terra Sol, and so it was a much welcomed surprise to walk into their lush green space. Their staff was very helpful in directing us towards the different areas of plants, statuary, pottery, fountains, and also to their well stocked areas of garden tools, soils, and pretty much everything you need to help keep your garden and outdoor areas green and colorful. And all very reasonably priced. And for those of you wanting to start a Zen Garden, their selection of Buddah Statues, Fountains, and Pagoda Lanterns is a great place to start. Conveniently located in North Goleta, off of Patterson Avenue, between Highway 101 and Hollister Avenue, and a stone's throw from the Santa Barbara Humane Society and the US Post Office.

Despite growing up around here, I somehow never stumbled through these grand entrance gates until recently. This gem of a garden isn't just my butt's savior now on long drives up from LA, but it's a sliver of paradise found--and sanity regained. Just walking around here for 15-20 mins. and you'll feel your blood pressure drop a few notches to a pleasant state of calm. You can explore the themed areas, take in the vegetation around you, and get landscaping tips just from strolling around their property. The plant things are grouped in various climate/hemispheres and it's nice to see them taking root and being incorporated in a seamless design (and it's nice shopping experience too). I was impressed with the selection and bought a few small air plants and succulents that are still thriving with offshoots. Prices are reasonable. For pros looking for inspo, I think this place that can offer Interior Designers & Landscapers creativity with plants. Or even the DIY Weekend Warrior looking to revamp their current landscaping or add a little something new to it. They have a wide variety of exotics, California natives to indigenous to Australia, and every other tree, shrub, and greenery in between. Since it's the year of the (hobby) horse, I'll be sure to get my butt up here more often in 2026.

It's a nice small excursion if traveling to LA. What a wonderful concept to put a botanical garden on the property, it could show what you could do with the plants that they sold. It's tranquil to walk around and explore yet it is right next to the 101 so the freeway was loud. They really packed a lot of diversity into this small area. There were plaques for each different garden. Plaques I noticed (though there might be more) were South African Garden, Mediterranean Garden, Grassland, Cottage Garden, Native Garden, Succulent Garden, Central/South American garden, Australian garden, and Asian garden. My favorite was the Asian garden because it had a pond with koi fish.

The selection was better than i expected with a lot of plants such as cactuses (cacti ?), agaves really unique aloes and other succulents from small 2 inch pots to large containers that I had not seen at larger local stores and everything was priced at least 25% cheaper than at a normal nursery. I used to always go to Tera Sol which is also nice but it's much more relaxing to go by a private place and be able to learn a lot while getting your plantsYou have to make an appointment but the owner was available both times i wanted to go by there. Due to the new law regarding watering of lawns here in town, he is currently helping me redo my landscaping into a xeriscape garden to save water and get rid of the lawn and it's turning out great. Give it a go, the best part is he threw in multiple plants FREE!

Shortly after bringing the string of pearls home I noticed it had a fungus gnats issue. The octopus plant I brought home on a separate occasion died 3 days later even after caring for it as directed. With that said, I have a green thumb and have been successfully able to keep 9 other indoor plants (from other places) alive and 4 outdoor plants (from other places) alive. I called island view to ask if there was anything they could do such as an exchange and the man seemed unwilling to budge and ultimately tried to blame me for the issues. NEVER buying plants here again!!!! I like to support local but not if the customer service is poor. Unfortunately, since the CS is poor, I will be continuing to buy my plants from big box stores such as Home Depot, ACE, and grocery stores. This sounds crazy, but I SWEAR by grocery store plants - all of the ones I have bought at grocery stores (Trader Joe's, Albertsons, etc.) have lasted 2 years and counting!!!
